Mueller Report Out! (AG Barr Edition: download within)

I’m starting to wonder why Rosenstein didn’t appoint Mueller as an Independent counsel but instead he appointed him as the special counsel

The Independent counsel provision was changed after Clinton’s impeachment to the special counsel one.

Right off the bat, the article said impeachment will reign him in. A trump that has been impeached and survived would be completely unleashed. .

I'm not sure what world you're still living in. How is Trump not ALREADY completely unleashed?

I used to think that Pelosi was playing it smart by hedging against the Mueller report. But nope, this is exactly how despots take power. Impeachment was made specifically for situations like this. If you don't impeach now, just vote and take away your ability to ever impeach in the future. Make the POTUS a King, literally. If you don't impeach, we've decided that the POTUS is above the law.

Like I said they probably will impeach and it won’t do a thing. It won’t lessen his power one bit.

Impeachment was made assuming people would out country over party. Those days are done.

It needs to happen if only that we can get it over with and get working to beat him in 2020.

Only then you won’t be able to bring up anything in the mueller report that he was found not guilty of.

And he will be able to say every day that he was found 100% innocent and he’ll be telling the truth for once.

Anyone that cares already knows we have a criminal in office. And Trump will have a message to those fringe voters Dems can’t refute. I was found 100% not guilty of everything the dems charged me with. And that’s a wrap.

The impeachment process would pretty much last the entire time of this campaign. There is absolutely no way that Trump gets any positive uptick from such a damaging impeachment trial. This isn't about lying about a blowjob. And if the GOP wasn't worried about the blowback from the public really knowing what Trump did, they wouldn't have Barr out here shutting it down and doing 5 public appearances/promotional events to set the narrative before the report came out. And this was a highly redacted report (over 1000 redactions). The most damaging material (like IRA) wasn't even included. An impeachment trial would be disastrous for the GOP. This isn't Bill Clinton Redux.

.

Clinton's impeachment lasted 14 months. Considering Trump's use the courts (delaying everything), this trial wouldn't likely even be completed before the 2020 election so he couldn't run on being "acquitted" anyway.

I think the candidates should be able to run their campaigns with an impeachment trial going on. The media is going to be all focused on Trump anyway (like they are now) so it shouldn't even change the way they campaign. Let the House deal with it until it goes to the Senate.

Barr did his job. Fox News is using that as full exoneration. The voters they want ONLY watch Fox News. If they were really worried about the info you’re seeing Barr would have redacted it and you wouldn’t get through that court case before the election. Just know everything you’re seeing is because his administration is letting you see it. The AG doesn’t have to show shit according to the law.

And imagine a month before the election Trump gets found not guilty. You’re giving Mitch McConnell a hell of an arrow in his quiver when scheduling that trial.

I disagree the Democrats just need to beat the Republicans in the heat with this report until election time it is too late in the calendar year to try to impeach Trump right now as much as I want him gone let’s vote him out and then after he leaves the White House he will become chop meat anyways

Bruh, most of the country is already tired of this shit. And you want to give them another two years of trials?

Trump wouldn’t fight the impeachment because he’d want to get it to the senate asap.

There’s a reason why Republicans told dems lst week that in order to get the grand jury info they have to start impeachment proceedings first. The republicans are setting a trap. They want the dems to impeach. And they know the dem base can’t resist.

Man I despise that dude. i want him gone.

But this is like anything else that has happened with Trump over the last two and a half years. He does some shit, we say that when people find out what he’s done his support will crumble and time after time the electorate shows they don’t give a fuck. Trump is always within his 35-45% range no matter what

Barr couldn't redact everything without it being a complete coverup. The AG doesn't have limitless power. If he wasn't worried about it, he would have released it instead of giving Trump a whole month to set the narrative with this 4-page memo. The reality is that the most damaging info is redacted. And it's not really an issue of the "law". Barr had to submit a report to the Republican and Democratic leaders of the Senate and House Judiciary Committees explaining Mueller's findings and why the investigation ended. The 4-page memo wasn't going to resolve that issue in this highly political environment. He didn't have to INITIALLY release the report "legally", but politically he had no choice. Had he tried to withhold it, he would have been in a legal battle that would have done more damage than just releasing a highly-edited one and plowing through it. And then "legally", he would have been forced to release it to Congress at some point anyway after it went to the courts. The WH didn't want any of this out there. They've just convinced, considering the circumstances, they can avoid a terminal fallout from the coverup. And they very well could if they avoid impeachment. This entire game is about avoiding impeachment. Mueller was never going to indict. However, they've pitched it as that and that's what the country thinks, for the most part. The real battle here was always POLITICAL... about impeachment..and that's why Guiliani admitted from the very beginning. They're trying to kill the Dem's impeachment path.

Dude.. on the real.. On the Analysis related to Trump ..... ordering McGahn to tell Rod to fire Mueller.. Mueller is up here pretty much straight up saying Obstruction..... This is the first time he is saying things like "SUBSTANTIAL EVIDENCE"...

He isn't pulling punches in here..
p302..

My take is that this is the section of the Report that the leakers from Mueller's team were talking about when they disturbing signs on obstruction..

this shit is bad...

Like... This is fucking BAD.....

Barr has some serious explaining to do... cause a case could be Made from McGahn's testimony alone...

I repeat.. this Shit is fucking Watergate bad..... Two people resigned cause they knew what trump was trying to get McGahn to do..

I disagree the Democrats just need to beat the Republicans in the heat with this report until election time

This is not the report you want to beat them with. It's the fucking unredacted report that likely has all the real incriminating information in it. And you know the only way the Dems will get that unredacted report..... through an impeachment trial where Barr would be forced to submit it.

Brother we're talking about someone who released a celebratory meme on a day that an extremely damaging report (with the worse of it redacted) was released.

I see why you feel impeachment would be beneficial but I guarantee you it would end up being spun in his favor right before an election.

The problem with impeachment is it will take too long and most people won't have the patience for the process.

Secondly the problem with these hearings will be that most people will only hear soundbites via whichever (most likely biased) news channel, website, etc. they frequent meaning it will easily be spun and presented to fit their respective narratives.

Impeachment would only be beneficial to those of us who are willing to hear, accept and demand truth which sadly wouldn't be enough to make it worthwhile.

Man. I don't think people are fully appreciating the bread crumbs in this report. This is a great summation

"
"The Mueller Report appears to be a roadmap for Congress to conduct impeachment proceedings as to obstruction of justice. The report explains that the special counsel believed that a sitting president could not be indicted, and that “fairness counseled against” concluding that President Trump committed crimes because he could not avail himself of the normal adversary process for public name-clearing before an impartial adjudicator.

Instead, Mueller decided to “preserve the evidence when memories were fresh and documentary materials were available.” The report does not say that the special counsel left it to the Attorney General to decide, as Barr indicated in his letter to Congress. Instead, Mueller lays out 10 episodes of potential obstruction of justice, stating, “While this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” This is not a tie or a tossup. This is a referral to Congress. Mueller did not recommend charges because he did not believe it was his role to do so.""

and then check the foot-notes

I disagree.

The narrative is still that he was possibly unwittingly crossing the line.

However, Mueller himself is saying that if he had a wider net, he would have caught Trump in a plethora of crimes. He literally said a full investigation (which could be initiated by Congress via an impeachment trial), would take the cover off. He's literally saying that Congress needs to investigate this.

I think people seeing open testimony is way more compelling than getting some verbal summations of a report that people aren't going to personally read for the most part. Getting people like Sarah Sanders in front of Congress admitting to what she told Mueller "that she pretty much made up lies to push a bullshit narrative" would be highly damaging to the administration. They wouldnt be able to run on the bullshit they're going to run on regardless of how the Senate voted. Make it partisan and call it what is it.... don't let him run on "im exonerated". he's going to run on that without the impeachment trial anyway... but not impeaching gives him the very thing you're worried about him having... it's just giving it to him for free..

DAMN... page 302...

Two days after directing McGahn to have the Special Counsel removed... Trump made another attempt to affect the course of the Russia investigation (THIS IS MUELLER's OWN FUCKING WORDS).. that was a direct quote....

- ----

On June 19, 2017.... Trump met with Corey (who I repeated was no longer part of the administration) and had him dictate a message to deliver to Sessions... which would have had the effect of Limiting the Russia investigation to future election interference ONLY...

OOOOOOOOOHHHH MYYYYY GAWD!!!!! @easy_b

According to Corey... this was the first time Trump asked him to dictate something....
According to Corey... The President directed that Sessions should give a speech publicly announcing...

"I know I recused myself from certain things having to do with specific areas. But our POTUS... is being treated very unfairly. He shouldn't have a Special Prosecutor/Counsel b/c he hasn't do anything wrong. I was on the campaign w/him for nine months, there were no Russians involved with him. I know for a fact b/c I was there. He didn't do anything wrong except he ran the greatest campaign in American history.

----- HOLY SHIT>>>> HOLY SHIT....WHAAAAAAAAATTTT

it went on to state.." Now a group of people want to subvert the Constitution of the United States. I am going to meet with the Special Prosecutor to explain this is very unfair and let the Special Prosecutor move forward with investigating election meddling for future elections so that nothing can happen in future elections...

----- HOLY SHIT BARR!!!!

You read this shit...

and had the fucking balls... to come out and say Mueller didn't find obstruction.... Are you shitting me.....

Cowey actively tried to give this fucking Note to Sessions.....

Man this report It is very bad for Trump I see why they try to hide it

I’m starting to wonder why Rosenstein didn’t appoint Mueller as an Independent counsel but instead he appointed him as the special counsel

He couldn't. Because the GOP investigated Bill Clinton over lying about a blowjob and then Ken Starr kept expanding on his mandate to try to trap Clinton, Congress had to change the law...so there are no more Independent Counsels..just a new position called the “Special Counsel” and new rules about scope.

Man this report It is very bad for Trump I see why they try to hide it

Man this shit is fucking Horrible... and I haven't even gotten to the coverup on the plain...

I'm just sitting here shaking my head at the fact that people voted a straight up idiot to the white house.. Like Seriously..

Fucking BANNON..

let that sink in..

Bannon was fucking trying to keep shit together..

BANNON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That liver spot dude was the mutherfucker in there leaking shit.

I'm telling you man... someone said that they weren't shocked by it, I'm shocked by how brazenly Trump obstructed justice. If he gets away with this and he wins re-election.. he should just go for it all at this point.

Oh Shit..
On July 19, 2017.... after the story about the Trump tower meeting..
Trump again asked Corey about the request to Sessions...
-- Corey was unable to give it Sessions when asked and had actually given the not to Rick Dearborn to give to Sessions.... Cause they were boys.

Corey.. said that Trump told him that if Sessions did not Meet with him.. Corey should tell Sessions he was fired... WOW

Right after... Corey gave a typed copy of Trumps message to Rick Dearborn ...

Rick Read it and was like ...."ummmmmmmm"

So Rick lied to Corey after Corey gave him the letter by telling him he gave it to Sessions when in fact RIck didn't give Sessions the note cause it made him uncomfortable..

And again.. I ask..

How is this not Obstruction!!!

I've never seen anything like this.. that wasn't written for a tv screen.

So right after... Corey's meeting with Trump on July 19, 2017.... where Corey Told Trump Sessions got the message... Trump gave the unplanned interview to the times.... criticizing sessions.

So on July 22, 2017..... Trump ordered Priebus to fire Sessions... Priebus told Trump.. You fire sessions you want be able to confirm another AG. Trump said don't worry I'll make a recess appointment.. WOW
page 307

---- This time trump says he wants to fire Sessions cause of the report about him lying about contacts..
- Priebus Called up McGahn.. cause he felt that even though Trump was saying this was about the negative press.. it was really about Russia.

McGahn told Priebus not to do it and talk to their personal lawyer...

Priebus... Told Trump not to do it.. cause Rod and Rachel would resign..

TRUE STORY...

Trump agreed to hold off on Demanding Sessions resignation until after the Sunday shows the next day, to prevent shows from focusing on the firing... :eek2:
