I've decided to take my kids to Disney next year. Any suggestions on where the best deal I can find? Should I use a travel agent? book myself? where to get the best park entry prices, whats the best time to go? etc, etc? I plan on staying about 5 days. Gonna fly to it, can't do all that driving with the youngins.

#2. What are the disney to do's or not to dos? The best way to maximize fun while saving a few $$$.

yeah definitely use a local travel agent that you can speak to if possible.

if you don't and u just wing it, if you don't mind loosing 4 hours of your morning hit up those time share presentations and cop some free tickets everyday, lol

my only really is hide some bottled water shit is ridiculous in there and it gets hot af best believe. the ride lines look ridiculous but they move pretty well. make sure you see the shows, make sure if you got little kids they see the parade at night.

Get the park hopper pass. That way you can knock out multiple parks in one day. You only get discounts if you stay for multiple days. At least 4 days I think. The fireworks show at magic kingdom is amazing. Sign up for a time share presentation. That way either your hotel ,flight or park tickets will be covered. Whatever you do don't buy the timeshare!

Download that Disney app. It has GPS, wait times, order food (get some Dole Whips), FastPass, games to play while waiting in line.

During the fireworks show at night you can ride whatever rides you want with little to no wait.

If you get a chance go to Animal kingdom early before opening and check out Flight of the Navi in Pandora (from the movie Avatar) it's dope

Try and avoid weekends if possible. Don’t get fast pass if your going five days. Try and stay at a hotel that has a lot of amenities. We stayed at the cabana bay in Orlando. It was about 350 for 4 nights 3days. We got free shuttles to all universal parks and Disney parks. Cabana bay has a mini water park built in so that was cool.

This episode was my life to the T when we went to Disney. Minus the VIP, but we had fast pass to everything and it spoiled the kids.

Get the express pass that makes you bypass the lines or you will spend most of the day standing in line. No need for an agent, buy the tickets and book the hotel from the Disney website. Staying at the Disney resort is cool because they have shuttles coming by every 10 minutes or so to drive you to the park.

I got a hookup when I went last year for Disney. If you know someone that lives there, they can get the tix, but they have to be present now at the park when you go in. So to take it a next step, my boy knew a chick who worked there. That's the hustle with the employees there. They have to walk you into the park, but charge you basically whatever they want on free passes they get monthly. I paid the chick $150 for 4 tix. But was just one day. Other days at Universal and other parks we paid full.

Also we prefer water parks like Blizzard Beach and Volcano Bay. You stay cool and it's much more fun for the kids than the whole Disney thing. Disney rides are an icon thing more than anything. Water parks were 10x better. Especially with the lazy river stuff.

With the fast pass you can only select up to 3 rides initially. They have kiosk in the park that will allow you to add more once your original 3 expire. You can select which rides you want up to 30 days in advanced. If you stay at a Disney Resort then you can book up to 60 days in advanced. Some Disney resorts have a special where they open the park 1 hour before the general public so that allows you to get a head start. I would look to book the most popular rides first because those go faster. Without the fast pass the new Avatar ride at animal kingdom has a wait time of about hour and 30 min and the Safari ride has about and hour and 20. Also with parking if you have a handicap permit then don't pay for preferred parking. They share the same lot. I would look to purchase the Disney wrist bands. This will allow you to add your tickets, fast passes and picture account right to the wrist band. It saves a lot of time. Hope this helps.

I've only been to the one in Orlando. How does that park compare to the one in Los Angeles?
Anaheim doesn't even come close to Orlando. Its 5 times smaller.
Don't use a travel agent....do everything yourself.
Get to the park as early as you can....preferably when the gates open. This avoids having to wait in long lines for rides and attractions.
Dress comfortable....it gets pretty hot. Bring an umbrella for the occasional shower.

Go to https://www.undercovertourist.com/ It is a good source for your travel planning needs.

The real Disney hookup is not go during the summer, springbreak or holidays.

Go midweek during school. Like October, January or February. Get to the park early.

Stay along International Drive.

Buy all your officially licensed souvenirs from the nearby Walmart, target and walgreens.

You may be able to get deals staying at Swan & Dolphin resort hotel. It offers free shuttle service to Disney parks and is a cool spot.

How old are your kids? If you have little little ones, there is a infant/toddler changing spot right next to the Chicago hotdog spot. You can fill upon water there for free.

Also, Disney will allow you to take food and beverages, but leave the selfie sticks at home.

As far as park hopper passes, I personally wouldn’t do it. If you’re staying for five days I would do one day per park, because honestly, it may take you a full day just to do Magic Kingdom alone. Little tip, in Magic Kingdom, take advantage of the train. It will take you all over the park and runs on schedule. I felt like a dumbass when we finally used it, after visiting Magic Kingdom like 8 times.

Magic Kingdom is huge, if you want to save on some steps, take advantage of the train ride.

Get the fast pass app and take advantage.

We typically go a few times a year, but didn’t last year as we did SeaWorld instead. We may do Disney passes again this year though once Star Wars opens in late August.

Be careful Birds are now killing people in Florida

Drink lots of water.
Don’t over plan your day. I know you want to get in all in, but the young ones will fade and you’ll get pissed about not keeping your schedule.
The magic kingdom is packed on Monday, so plan accordingly.

I thought the fast pass was worth it.
Try not to eat fries on the vacation, they will slow you down. The same with coke/Pepsi.

I tried the cheapen the meals by ordering a same salad and mooching off the family plates lol

When you say Disney you Mean World or Land? I take my kids to Disney Land once a year. Go when people are in school during the week. Crowds are smaller. Never go during peak season which is summer and Winter break I usually go in January or February mid week. May also. I can only take 2-3 days max in that bitch. I only will stay at one of the Disney Hotels like the Grand Californian. After walking around for hours I ain’t trying to walk far to the hotel after. Fuck that. You pay more but it’s worth it

my daughter is 6. I plan on going to the disneyland in florida. it will have be during the summer next year because that's the way her schedule works out. So far what i got its:

1. use a travel agent
2. don't to go hard on a particular park on monday
3. get the fast/easy pass
4. drink lots of water.

DONT use a travel agent. Shit is a rip off. Do it all on the Disney site. Staying on Disney grounds is cool like someone else said because they have their own free bus system. Takes you to any park from your hotel. Someone suggested doing multiple parks in 1 day? Fuck that. Each of those damn parks takes most of your day up for just 1. The lamest park was Epcot center, and we were still there all day. Plus its exhausting. If u stay a whole 7 days like I did with my fam, u need one or two of those days just to rest. We had a food plan where 3 meals a day were included with our hotel. But when we got tired of that, we caught an Uber to a Walmart around the corner to buy regular groceries, water, and liquor. Disney charges for fucking everything, damn near for air. My ex easily spent 8k for our trip. And one more thing, if your gonna go to a park outside of Disney, make sure u do Universal Studios and NOT Seaworld. Seaworld is the lamest shit Ive been to in my life. And the tickets were like 100 per person :smh:

Oh yeah, if you are a smoker or a drinker and don't get a chance to grab anything off Disney ground, any one of those gifts shops have alcohol and cigarets hidden behind the counter. Is just a practice at Disney not to have it out in the open.... but they have it, trust me. Its expensive though. I was buying pints of Smirnoff for $14.

We used these people and location
https://www.magicalvacationhomes.com/vacation-home-community.asp?CommunityID=447

This was only about a 5 to 10 minute drive to all the parks but there are tons of other condos and resorts nearby.

We drove down, but we were chatting with another family down there and they said they fly down every year but still save money even after renting a car as opposed to using the "on site" hotels and meal packages.

We were able to turn our 5 day stay to a 10 day stay and took some days to relax and see other stuff as well (port canaveral, beach...etc). We only had 5 day tickets to use.

Total cost was around 2k including meals...
Thats for Me, Wifey, 3 kids and Grandma.

dam yall makin the crib sound like a jungle...

Understand Florida weather. Understand your going to have to be your own weatherman.
Try your best to plan indoor activities for in the evening especially after 2pm in the summer. It is going to rain. Period. That's when the ignorance Florida begins. Little Shop of Horrors style. Prob best time to do the time share presentation.

If you stay on Disney properties, stay in one of the hotels that are on the tram. The buses are a pain, and you have to walk from the bus to the park. When it’s hot or raining it sucks.

Use fast pass for the rides with long lines.

Wear comfortable shoes, you’ll be walking a lot.

If you have older kids, make sure you save at least a few days for Universal studios.

I hear that there's an amusement part not that far from disney down in orlando that is cheaper and stays open the summer time til the weee hours of the morning, most locals go there instead of disney for that fact.

enjoy,never the less

Me and my wife took 4 of our grandchildren we did 6 days at Disney and 2 days at Universial. The park hopper and express pass is a big must have if your staying 5 or more days. We went right after spring break ended lot less crowds, food and drink is a little expensive you can bring your own, stick to water leave the soda alone. Souvenirs are the biggest $$$$. Plan ahead on which park you want to start in and use the train.
