NFL Free Agency 2019....... (OBJ to the Browns!!)(Leveon to Jets!!)

I'm not going to say he fucked up but he just missed out on a guaranteed 17 million last year. He's never getting that 17 million back.

but what if he got hurt while playing on a one year contract with no guarantees? He'd be right back on the market getting 1 year deals. In a vacuum, he lost money but that's a huge risk for a RB that's going to get 400 touches.

But he got $35 milly guaranteed this year without any more tread taken off his tires.

Like taking a year off is pretty helpful to a RB that's why AP is still productive

Yeah. I think people think it's like a rb only has a fixed number of years and has to retire at 30. It's not like he had a play and not get paid. Those 400 touches aren't on his body. He'll be alright. I mean frank gore still out there getting contracts at 35.

I agree with you...

The Steelers weren't going to give him a serious long term contract.......

He knew he was likely going to hit free agency

and buy playing his hand... He showed the Steelers not to try and hit him with a Franchise tag again..

He lost some money, but this worked out better for him.. and provides some stability.

Yeah that aint up to debate.

But he bet on himself and his health.

I can't hate.

You think had Gurley been playing on a one year contract last season, he would get paid this year like that? RBs are the most injured players in professional sports. He didn't want to keep playing year to year with no guarantees. Even the "long term" contract the steelers offered was really only a true one year deal.

Yea he didn't pull the power play AB pulled but not having that wear on your body will extend your career for a RB....like if a RB had a chance to sit out a year not get any touches but not get $15 milly.....but come back next year and I'll give alittle you more than double that......why not take it?

Frank gore is a fucking Mutant.. that needs to be tested.

If you would have told me that out of that Monster 2001 Miami Hurricane Backfield ( Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, Najeh Davenport, and Frank Gore)... that Frank (Fucking Gore) would not only last Clinton Portis and Willis McGahee... but would also end up 4th ALL-TIME in rushing in NFL History...

I'd fucking laugh in your face so hard.. that I'd pass out.

Frank gore is a fucking Mutant.. that needs to be tested.

No doubt. A true mutant..i shouldn't have used an outlier like that to make my point.... he doesn't even run like a 35 year old RB either and he runs in a kind of bruising style though... Gore makes no sense to me... it's just great vision to still be able to be productive like this at 35 considering he's not fast.

when he got hurt to end the season, that should have been it for his career....but i knew he would be back. and he's going to give you 15 carries and 70 yards every game..lol

Man the fucking Colts are sitting there making me nervous with all this money and not doing much with it.

Fucking Andrew Luck is already a Demon in a beard... That don't even need that much.

This^^^^^^

There is no reason for him to be in the game this long....

There really shouldnt be any doubt about him and the hall when he retires...

He has never stood out in any year.... but you can't deny the production.

If missing that year extends his career then I'd agree. That year off from football can either hurt him or help him...its done more hurt for most guys though so we shall see.

If he got hurt yeah.......but he's been relatively healthy for the most part. If he would've gotten hurt than yeah he came up. But then Earl Thomas been hurt and got a raise so I don't know.......

That's because AP a freak though and he's a shell of himself. AP low-key probably shouldn't even be in the league no more.

Guaranteed wise it doesn't look terrible. But if Leveon was going to play out his deal? He would've made more money.

There's no way to come out on top of this contracts right now until they fix the CBA. Just no way at all.

.

DBs getting paid though. The RB market is much different. Look at all the money safeties got this off-season...nfl is pass-happy now so DBs are valued.

Maybe he would have never gotten hurt, but it was a risk. Remember they had him playing on those one-year contracts man... he was tired of that shit.

You really think Bell was going to play out that 5 year contract offer from the Steelers? they were only guaranteeing one year of it and kept hardballing him with one year tags.. he was going to get moved at some point.... clearly they weren't committed to him.

he didn't get the position-setting money that he wanted, but he's better off because had he gotten hurt on that one year deal (in this RB market), he would have been fucked.

I see both sides of it..

yeah.. a true case of maybe he was never really GREAT in any individual season.. but good production for 15 fucking years as an RB is GREAT

Man bell did the best he could’ve did...he tried to work with the Steelers but shit always fall thru
