Congressional democrats have not been weak since the Clinton years.

1) You give him the wall and you assure he's the POTUS for at least 6 more years...PERIOD!
2) You don't give him the wall then what is he going to do? He either has to try the shutdown bullshit again, declare a national emergency and deal with all that comes with that and/or kill that campaign promise.
So once more how in the world would it benefit the Dems to help Trump keep his promise? Especially when they can sit back, essentially, and watch him crumble helping the 2020 campaign?
BTW, The only possible logic I can see is someone saying "The Dems want to help those people suffering from the shutdown." My response: By empowering a monster?

The Dems Trump is referring to are the Joe Manchin’s who won in red states and have a lot of constituents who are Trump supporters.
I assume they are worried more about their re-election than about the Democrats holding power. Though being in minority in the congress is almost useless.
