0fficial 2017-2018 NBA Postseason Thread....NBA Finals Cavs vs Warriors 0-4(dubs back 2 back champs)

Harden isnt the most important player on his team. Let alone league MVP. Steph getting a unanimous vote was laughable. Russ won more games this year and averaged the same triple double but somehow didnt win. The award has been sullied my man ans if you say Bron didnt deserve it atleast once in the last 4 seasons then you're a hater and/or fool.

Also, cant discredit Bron triple doubles but celebrate when Russ does it. And if you gonna highlight Steph getting a #1 seed then celebrate Bron doing it his first year back to Cleveland when he rescued Kyrie from lottery scum and turned Miami back into a pumpkin.

And again Bron is top 3 regardless. You can debate where he falls on that list.

All I ask Lebron to do is be the GOAT at one particular skill, before you can be the GOAT of all time.

Jordan, Kareem, and Magic were the greatest at a particular skill, all have winning Finals records, at least 5 rings, and Finals MVPs.

Lebron is right there though, he has time to improve his Finals record and lead the league in a category again.

Scoring titles are worthless. All them titles and aint nowhere close to the all time scoring champ and still bout to get knocked out of the top 5 by a guy who has 1. Whats funny is Karl Malone came in the league after MJ and came closer to catching Kareem than him. MJs career and greatness were too short lived.

You must be on dope or dog food. That's like saying Emmitt Smith is a better running back than Jim Brown and Barry because they only played 10 seasons, and Emmitt is the all time leading rusher.

Kareem is widely recognized as the greatest scorer of all time, trailed by Malone. Not a question of whos better, but who produced the most. 4 other players in NBA history (soon to be 6) scored more buckets than MJ. And if you want to play the "less games" game, Wilt outscored all them dudes in 800 games.

Jordan has the highest all time career scoring average, regular season and playoff, and that is including the bullshit Wizard seasons.

Do you know what the fuck highest "average" means?

I thought everybody knew this shit.

Jordan didnt retire 3 times. He quit twice, retired once. Jordan on the Wizards was younger than Duncan and Kareem when they won their last rings. He was just washed up, age had little to do with it.
Solid point.

Gotcha. What particular skill are you saying MJ and Kareem are the greatest at tho?

Unfortunately "averages" dont determine all time leaders. Totals do. You know what "totals" mean? MJs totals are pedestrian. Hence the emphasis on averages. He averaged over 40 a game against the Celtics in 86 but got swept in 3 games and wasnt considered the playoffs leading scorer, Bird was. His totals shitted on MJs.

Jordan is the GOAT or the best, all time leader sometimes is like the dude on a job with 60 years of service, but never made it to management.

Depends on how he accumulated or how long it took to accumulate those numbers.

Karl Malone in your top 3 all time? He has great all time numbers.

Kareem is the best scorer of all time.
And you are compounding skills with saying two way player
Kareem is the most productive scorer over career, not the best scorer.

If a man works 16 hours on a job, he should produce more than an 8 hour worker, does not mean he is the best employee. His rate or average per hour is his true production.

No. When you are willing to accept being a role player towards the end of your career your avg will dip down. #facts.

Jordan who had rip hamilton traded from wizards cuz he could not stand playing alongside someone better than him reflects how much he wanted to be "the man"

Cool. Then Lebron is best all around player of all time... Since we "creating" non statistical categories and such. Thanks.

I would say he could be the most athletic player of all time, that is not a skill.

All around is bullshit, Russ and Oscar averaged a triple double for a season, Lebron don't lead in that shit either, never done that shit before. Not great on defense, no go-to moves, poor ft shooter, etc. Never lead the league in any category, just above average in a few categories.

And Rip won a chip 2 years later.

Cavs need to keep the turnovers low,go to the paint like in game 6,rebound the ball effectively, make their shots;especially their three point shots, play good defense.

Hill,Green,JR,Tristan and Korver need to help LeBron;especially,Hill,Green and Tristan.

They need to give the ball to Hill at the beginning so,he won't drift off. For,whatever reason, when he's not getting the ball and making shots,he'll disappear for the rest of the game....

Best I.Q

Best fast break finisher.

Best all around player.....

Nope, maybe, and nope.

Lebron is smart, but makes hella bad decisions in games, turnover prone, afraid to take last shots in past, etc..I can go on an on with this shit. Quits too much, and not always mentally strong.

Great finisher, good with and ones, could be #1

All around, nah, I already explained this.

bad decisions are directly correlated to fatigue.

When you are tired you make more mistakes. When you are tired the mind has a hard time focusing on a particular task. When you have a hard time focusing you make more mistakes. In fact more mistakes is a indication of being tired.

All around doesnt just emcompass stats of pass, rebound, score. All around is more than triple double stats son. It also emcompasses skillset and talent and other categories including shooting, efficiency, steals and blocks... Bron is a better defender than both Russ and Oscar, has played and defended all positions and is a better passer and rebounder than Russ and a FAR more efficient and productive player despite his triple double seasons.

LeBron is absolutely the best all around performer the game has seen.

Lebron has been in the League 15 years, there is plenty of tape and history of his mental breakdowns, bad decision making, and choking/quiting/running from the big shots in 4th quarter.

He ain't no rookie, look at the tape.

Nope, 60% is hustle and athleticism. He gotta lot of flaws in his all around game.

7 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists in a 12 minute quarter is not impressive to me for a player that plays damn near the whole game, ball always in his hands, and 6'9. No hand checking, etc...

He is not a top defender at his his own position. He is a great passer and finisher, all that other shit, he ain't that great.

Right id put bill Russell who never shot over 50% and never avg over 20......over jordan off of defensive superiority alone.

2nd all time leading rebounder all time by a wide margin. The inspiration for the all defensive team and DPOY award. Averaged 30 boards in the Finals, posted triple doubles in the Finals. 11 chips 2 as player coach, 5x MVP, first black head coach in the NBA. I have Ill Bill ranked #3 behind Wilt and Kareem. Ahead of Bron and MJ.

Not playing in a damn 8 or 10 team league, mostly white, no sir. Hell of a winner and hustler, but not the best or most skilled player.

A guy who shot the ball more than any player while he played should have a bunch of scoring titles. MJ led the league in attempts 9 times (an NBA record) but never finished top 5 in % ever. Never finished top 5 in assists. Even though he always had the ball in his hands and had usage rates that would make Westbrook blush. When MJ "retired" in 94, all his teammates (Scottie, Horace, BJ) FG%'s went up :smh: He was a weak playmaker. And for the amount of shots he took to be under 50% isnt impressive. His teammate Scottie was better than him at EVERYTHING except scoring.

MJ couldnt catch him. Gave up at 6 in '98. :smh:

And he was far more skilled than MJ defensively.

Name one guard in NBA history that shot (.497 because of bullshit Wizard years) 50% for their career other than Jordan?
