Music Debate: Other than Redman, which rapper had 3 classic in a row starting out?

lol those Redman albums aren't classics either so this post is null and void.

You buggin'. Those Redman albums are all classics dude. No one was sounding like him at the time. You ask what is the best Redman album, you're going to get multiple answers. Three classics out the gate.

And classic doesn't mean, every track is outstanding. A perfect album. There's no such albums like that in abundance.

wait

ALL those hits were on that record??!?!??!?

As usual?

I stand corrected.

But my point was that I Am... Was originally a double album titled, I Am...The Autobiography. It was to be released in '98 then Nas split the album up to I Am... And Nastrdumas in '99 due to bootlegging.

The Lost Tapes contains a lost of the leaked songs.
That's funny... I love The Lost Tapes but I don't really care for Nas's work between Illmatic and Stillmatic.

I'd love to hear the original version.

Nah fam, Kendrick a go:

Section 80
Good Kid Madd City
To Pimp A Butterfly
Damn

DAMN is illmatic good

But I can't say Butterfly is in that category cause it took even die hard fans a long while to warm up to that project

it was experimental no real singles...

Now many realize it was way ahead of its time

Good Kid yeah that was dope

Section 8 was dope too but it did not hit with the impact of REDMAN first album...

That album BIRTHED quite a few MCs.

Redman run was crazy influential

Much respect to kendrick

Yes.

Redman had better beats OVERALL

and is/was a better MC

His vocal performances on those 3 first albums were insane.

Just on a Flows lyrics styles creativity...

Redman was just on some next sh*t

Not better beats than All Eyes on Me. Flow creativity was better though. But how impactful those 3 were was insane. Plus Pac got better with each album. I dont think Redman got better with each album. I think he was already there with 1st and stayed there, feel me...

Section 80 was super dope. Good Kid was arguably the best album over what the last 10-12 years. Pimp took a minute for people to digest for sure, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a classic nor great. Go back and listen to that shit. That shit was crazy! And Damn man listen!!!!

We are in agreement but the REACTION does matter

we can go back on a whole lot of movies books tv shows records etc and say they were under appreciated classics

but to have that album that is undeniable and universal from DAY ONE?

That has to count that matters that MEANS something.
