Oh shit his sister went to Fisk...

Update: never mind...

I get the idea but damn... I got excited thinking Ol girl was from Nashville.

  • Lupita dancing on the boat
  • The “shoulder shake” at the ceremonies
  • Okoye jumping to the first floor
  • The first BP appearing in the apartment
  • Okoye being loyal to the throne
  • The bowing when the fight was over
  • “Hi Auntie”
  • “You will not speak”
  • “Sneakers”

It's so sad man. I wish I could take that fucking herb be buried and see my dad again and just TALK to him. Ask him if he's proud of me. Ask him if he's been watching. Just tell him hi. that's it. If they were like you got 20 seconds. I'd take the 20 seconds.
shit even 10 seconds.
I got some herb that will make you think you seeing your pops. :guitar01:

not to make light of your sentiments tho...I feel you. The message of lineage and legacy was strong in this film. I thought it was a dope subtle thing how when T'Challa went to the ancestral place, there was mad ancestors embracing him. When Killmonger went, it was him and his pops alone in that little apartment cuz they were separated from the lineage and the legacy. Deep stuff. Real talk tho..I'm sure your pops is mad proud of you. You one of the most consistently level headed brothas on this board. I'd be willing to bet that translates to your everyday life.

No worries weed might take me there i wouldn't know though lol.

Exactly they were outsiders wrongly outcast for trying to help everyone else.
N'Jobu was trying to make up for lost time. They did the ring thing in the beginning but they also sat back as the world got smaller and smaller.

Thank you for saying that man it actually means a lot.

The other thing that I thought was great in this movie was the relationship between t'challa and his sister Suri. Anyone in here who has a younger brother or sister or is the younger brother or sister can understand the dynamic between the two of them.

When she was filming him testing out the suit and it threw him across the room and the first thing he said was delete that footage it was cause he knew what her triflin ass would do with it.

I was kinda hoping at the end, when that kid asked T'Challa "who are you?" he remembered where he seen him, pulled out his phone and showed that clip of him getting knocked on his ass on like a YouTube type website or something... Like he recognized him not because he was King of Wakanda but because that clip had went viral...

They actually did a cool mix imo during the down times it was just the super hero moments where the sound was too super heroey if that makes sense. blaring trumpets and things.
And I'll be the nerd in this case. We won't ever get to see Killmonger again.
Bro the way MBJ killed that role I think you almost HAVE to bring him back. He was brought back before in the comics as I'm sure you know. Plus he requested to be buried at sea. He's too smart to not have a contingency plan. I think that was a part of it.

Plus like someone said previously, he was the perfect villain because he was only a villain from the perspective from which the movie was delivered. If you follow Killmonger from the instant his father died leading up to the events of BP, you'd definitely be on his side in this venture.

I say either have his followers bring him back and have him constantly an enemy of T'Challa, or do a prequel leading up to this movie. He is the PERFECT antihero.

The perfect one and I pray they bring him back. I really do. He was too good to be a 1 off. Now everybody who was in the longer thread that's spoiler free can finally understand why I said from jump I was team killmonger lol

I'm going to see it again. The attitude. Klaw is talking about money and he's like "Don't even worry about it bruh I know you good for it.. oh also drop me off in Wakanda"

before Klaw could get out the "You don't want to go there" 2 of his men were dead and he had to grab baby girl up.

He told her "It's going to be OK" like a loving compassionate mate says to another to calm them down then shot her dead.

Klaw was on the fucking RUN lol. Klaw.
On the run.

I do want that soundcloud link

M'Baku.
That's honor right there. He went there to shoot his shot at the trials. I didn't happen. When they found T'Challa he didn't kill him. he didn't even ask for the herb he did what was right. He was one of the most honorable people in a land of honorable people. He stole every scene he was in. Every time he had a speaking line. Obviously when he picked up W'Kabi and lil bro'd him was still the highlight lmao.

their entire time in their tribe was best of him just a highlight moment showing everything he was, was in that moment he lil bro'd the leader of the border clan and discarded him like he was nothing. As a man another man can't lift you up by the collar and talk shit while you pull at your neck lol.
Just can't

when he let out that huge yawn and asked if they were done w/ their family moment had the theater fucking rolling lol...I can’t wait til they drop the bluray

Yea man he has a sense of humor. A real sense of humor. It's easy to see why he leads them why they'd say he is our guy that we follow. You could tell he was probably cracking jokes back up the mountain side after he lost to T'Challa

also shout out to us for remembering these African names I don't be remembering no character names really but this movie I do.

Why all the black superheroes don’t have secret identities? Everybody in the hood know like cage but none of Peter Parker’s friends know he is Spider-Man

Now I wasn’t a big reader of comic books growing up so if there is a reason that was revealed in the comics I would like to know

They don't know he's black panther. They just know him as King T'Challa.
Only the people in Wakanda know he's black panther.

This is the first time that he's had to suit up in Wakanda. He don't be running around the capitol stopping crime and shit, there is none.
When he leaves though, he's suited up and hidden.

Go back and watch the casino scene. The white dude knew him from being black panther.

Killmonger wasn't THAT good. Y'all hyping it.
The arm was enough but the scars all over?
He killed hundreds of people? Naw he isn't sympathetic if you just killing people like that.
He just killed his girlfriend? I knew he was going to kill her but he killed her 2 seconds after I realized it.
Give us some suspense!! Why are you just killing people. I know he was done wrong but he was going overboard.
He had another option. They didn't give his character enough.
Michael B Jordan did a great job. Don't get me wrong.
However they didn't go Killmonger justice.

Shuri and T'challa are his cousins. There should have been more dialogue.
I would have been cool with 1 less fight scene if there was more dialogue.

bcuz it’s his job to...it’s not like he was a regular tourist...kinda like how stark knows peter parker is spider-man but the average muthafucka doesn’t

You answered the question yourself. You know little about Marvel comics and how they write stories.

You're tripping imo.

He killed hundreds of people while in the military working for America not random shit lol.

Next up the movie did a perfect job of actually explaining why he did everything he did period that's just not up for debate
Anymore back story and you're basically asking for a killmonger solo film which I wouldn't be opposed to but wasn't needed in this film. .

They did him more than justice and he was true to himself to the end and even went out on his own terms

Killing an old man for no reason and conquering a country? Yes.
I dont get why people think Killmonger is right? What did he do that was redeeming?
I am actually lost at his character. Michael B Jordan did a great job but he was clearly a villain.
I think his character wasn't properly written and some lines came out of nowhere.
Okoye said it herself "You are filled with hate and not fit to be king".
He destroyed Wakanda in like 2 days! Why did people like kim?
Please explain.

I’m curious if anyone on this board disagrees with Killmonger?

Ok. I dont agree but ok.
I needed 1 less fight scene and 1 full scene of him talking to his COUSINS or something.
Shuri didn't even try to speak to him. Michael did a great job but the character should have been given more.
Potential to be totally epic but he wasn't redeemable enough.
