Black men who support black women going natural

I hate this shit. It's getting harder to find a woman who still straighten her hair too.

You should NEED them to. That's the european look. Our hair isn't supposed to blow in the wind like some white bitch at the beach. All these girls going natural have my heart. I love it. I got two friends that go to a barber and get lined and tapered. I love them! They look amazing. The fake weave, lacefront, shit got all their edge broke out in the front. Foreheads sliding back like Stephen A Smith's. It's t time to go natural. I dont know a single black men worth a damn who likes that red, green, blonde bullshit. Not a one! Get back to being nubian.

my mother and sister are both black and have straight hair that blows in the wind, lol. all black women don't have the same type of hair. they would have to work to get the "natural look". i dislike weave too. don't think that i am advocating for that shit.

I hate that shit. I want my woman's hair straightened. No afros and no dreds. I'm not looking for long or especially not weave, I just dislike that extra wild shit.

It’s cool at first until you see it everyday. Then your like you need to do something different with your hair.

You hate yourself then.
That's not how my hair would be if I grew it long and natural. How can it be self hate to dislike something different from me? Or to prefer a look that I am used to seeing in my family? I don't think that blackness dictates that I prefer certain features over others. Or that I like every look. There are black people with all types of hair textures and skin colors. All equally black. Anyway, I am talking about the hairstyle of what looks like to me, trying to make your hair as wild as possible. It doesn't look natural. But that is what a woman would call that hairstyle. It looks like it takes effort to make it as wild as possible. I have a latina friend who has straight hair, but sometimes wears the wild natural look. I dislike it on her too. It is not only a black hairstyle, other races wear it too, and I dislike it on anybody. I'm not against black women, I'm just more attracted to some black women than others.

Wanna have a wave battle?

Yara Shahidi made us spit out our Champagne when she walked the red carpet at the 2018 SAG Awards, looking stunning in a gown/jumpsuit hybrid and rocking her voluminous natural hair, giving us major Diana Ross vibes.

The actress, known for her role as Zoey Johnson on Black-ish and Grown-ish, attended the award show wearing Chanel makeup by Emily Cheng (keep reading for deets on the exact cranberry lip color!) and her God-given curls, styled by Nai'vasha Johnson.

Fans of the show also noticed Yara is taking a page from her TV mom Tracee Ellis Ross's style book. Tracee is known for rocking big curls, statement earrings, and a bold lip color. Others felts like she was having a Diana Ross moment. Either way, we're super into it.

Stay tuned for shopping and styling info on Yara's gorgeous look. Plus, we have exclusive behind-the-scene images and quotes from both her hair and makeup artist!
