SNOWFALL FX discussion thread

Yeah but running up into a Spanish hood aint about the drug game...if you are in a city with "no go" areas for Black people, you are supposed to know that no matter if you are a hustler or a square...those dudes didn't know he was a hustler...all they saw was Black...Franklin isn't some sheltered kid...shit, he been a small time drug dealer working for his uncle...father is a former Panther and is now homeless in the streets...mother evicts people which he sees up close and personal...went to a White rich high school so he can look at his neighborhood from an insider's and outsider's perspective...Franklin should be way too smart to make some of the mistakes he is makings...he isn't some middle class suburban kid trying his hand at street shit...also, why just walk away from a dude who robbed you then was raped when you (or the dude who was with you when yall invaded his house) got the money back? you just walk away and don't think you might have issues from that side in the future?

Its all good though...still like the show...guess I just got spoiled by "The Wire"...look at how Stringer Bell's growing disconnect from the dirty side of the street game is handled so smoothly that when he actually fucks up its very believable

This is 1983 LA Mexican gangs weren't how they are now. Wasn't as many Mexicans back then how it is now. Plus he was told by Bokeem Woodbine about that spot. It's not like he randomly walked up on a hood dope spot. I will say you can't go places solo like that. Need a crew etc doing business. That's in any business you don't broker a deal solo.

I love this show look forward to it every week

But Franklin's crew is straight retarded they wanted to sniff Caine soon as they touched it, I would keep his cousin down since Franklin is too scared to pull the trigger as of yet. but the other dude gotta go.

And did Oso smash Pedro's wife already? the scene went dark how is Pedro going to take that he already think Oso weak and he caught them hugging?

And next episode how did they jump to Franklin trying figure out how to get powder off to white folk to cooking crack in the preview?

Also when Claudia was laying on the table with her thighs out telling Franklin to only come back when he wanted to learn something I would have jumped on her fine milf ass right then and there
Pedro's cousin not wife

is it me or does the show allude to important scenes instead of showing them? I was kinda lit when I marathoned the series...2 "scenes" that they seemed to allude to but never showed were the one where pedro his cuz'n and oso went to kill the big dude...and the CIA guy and the other dude crashing the plane and getting stranded...I'm low key wondering if I dl'ed/watched incomplete episodes or what lol

I was lost like hell when i saw both of those scenes, when the woman pulled some brain matter, I guess thats what it was, out of dudes hair i was like huh! and then when they showed the CIA guy at that plane with the dead/knocked out pilot I was like what the hell. Franklins storyline is the only one I really keep up with, I kinda follow the CIA as a sidestory but that brother-sister robbing their father or whatever I don't even pay attention to

Question...I'm wondering if I miss something. Mainly because I tune out the CIA.

Didn't Franklin go to dude and say he was out the game

So why did he get back in?

Franklin's stupidity is entertaining, but it's starting to get over the top in how naive he is

Has to be cause of budget.

on cinema sins Jeremy would give a sin and say "Telling me about a more interesting story/movie than showing me" *bing

The episode when he sold the caddy, he told the jew he was out.

After the party, on the roof he told his friends he would go back to the jew for more coke in the morning.

So why did he get back in?

the events of the house party* coupled w/ the idea of going back in more than likely being @ the back of his mind

*reaffirming his pops ain't shit...confrontation w/ the cops...his friends nagging him...but def the first 2 play a part in him being young and feeling hopeless/helpless...coke is his "only" option as far as he sees

ya I was fucked up as shit when I watched it lol...I actually sped thru the episode again just to make sure I didn't nod off and miss something...but I like how they handled it tho...particularly the scenes w/ pedro his cuz'n and oso cuz you knew something fucked up happened that completely shook pedro...after a while they talked about it and we learned why he was acting like that lol

He's learning as he goes imo
And he thinks he's smarter than everyone else so he never listens. People warn him and give him the game and he always just thinks they don't know what they talking about
"All I gotta do is..."

I gotta check this show out.

damn man...best ep...loving this show...I was about to knock franklin for his dora the explorer routine but I understand man

Franklin's homeboy likes to experiment. He'll probably get high on his own supply and become a junkie.

He already addicted to coke. In the preview he tell Franklin he gone smoke the crack.

Feels like every episode he's on the verge of death

 if he wasn't the main character in would feel that way

Cosign on best episode...I still think Franklin written a little too naive and reckless but they did a decent job of explaining the underlying desire driving him...I thought he was gonna lose those 2 bricks for sure

Real life he would have. He a bold mother fucker. That shit just wouldn't fly in the real world.

Well yea.
When you trying to make moves with coke you are on the verge of death from the places you are to the ppl you deal with

Also for those that don't know unfortunately yes Oakland did create it
New jack city was actually based on Oakland drug dealer Felix Mitchell

I fucks with Franklin journey and the wrestlers journey
Cia is boring now honestly he ain't making no moves but his job is really done

Ol lou diamond Phillips son is a pure hater

He could go about his movements much better instead of being so nonchalant about everything. It's literally comical how he finds himself in these situations in every episode.

Nino based upon the Chambers brothers and crack was started in the islands but Oakland may have been the first to launch it in Cali

He said it.
"Maybe I'm just dumb as fuck but I need this"
that sums everything up right there. if you really want it as much as Franklin does, then you're out there. You put yourself out there

Fuck would she lie to her brother though?

that's her cousin but there are some weird dynamics there.

the mail cousin is like a spoiled brat cause he heir apparent but he ain't really bout that life. The wrestler saved his cous, fucking his cous and saving the business. What exactly does he bring to the table other than entitlement issues
