Anime Fans, What's the hottest anime out at the moment? - Suggestions Thread

Yeah man, I watched one punch man, and it definitely grew on me. By the end I loved it. I watched Deathnote too. I had always put off watching it b/c I didn't like how the shinigami looked, but that shit was damn good.

For the Code Geass fans...

Code Geass - Akito the Exiled is currently on Funimation. This is a five episode side story.

Anyone have links to knights of sidonia season 2? If you liked Blame you might like this, kinda similar but in outer space, wasn't feeling the artwork at first but it grows on you.

No links... it is on Netflix. The second season was nice. But I'm going to need Season 3 to drop

Has this been mentioned?

Hold the front door... live action Ajin movie. :eek2:

But I don't know about this dude they have playing Mr. Soto. He has to be older with white hair. Making him young takes away his mystic.

It's in my top 5,maybe top 3 anime show of all time.

It's the only show I've watch more than 10 times....:giggle:

I need to see the Neon Genesis movies still...

The neon genesis movies are fucking legit... they tell an alternative story. The beats are the same but that third movie was Flames. The problem is that it ends on this crazy cliffhanger and I've been waiting 3 years for them to drop the fourth movie.

Anybody ever fucked with Berserk?

I heard the manga is GREAT and the anime is very good.

What are your opinions?

Berserk is one of those anime/manga staples every anime fan must see. I haven't seen the new series but the old anime pretty good

The 1997 series is a classic and I've only watched the first of the 3 movie golden age remake. The new series was ok to me, but the cg is less than desirable.

To get the complete story, you HAVE to read the manga in all its glory, especially since all adaptations have left details out. Only thing is that when you're caught up, the true suffering begins, since the mangaka is known to take obsenely long hiatuses, and even though it's been almost 30 years since it began, the ending is nowhere near in sight.:hmm:

I've heard it said that the Berserk anime is very good, but the manga is incredible.

Have only watched the anime, and its only 25 episodes.

Is it really that much better than the anime???

Yes it is. I take it that you're talking about the 97 anime. The portion that it covers, is basically an extremely long flashback to show how guts came to hate griffith. It's extremely long in the manga as well, and as far as i remember, they covered it well, although they still left some characters, and fights out. The anime basically stops before we get to see guts slaying demons with his iconic slab of iron:giggle:
Go to kissmanga.com and start from chapter one.

I will.

I wish someone would do the manga some justice and animate it properly.

But, there is obviously no financial incentive to do so.

That 25 episodes I watched was so .... man ....

....it felt like an epic tale, and it was only 25 minutes. You're telling me they left shit out, and that shit felt like they packed tons of shit into just 25 eps.

Yea it's a shame that there probably never will be a proper anime adaptation.
and the 97 series for what they covered, was about 96% identical to the manga. Still, what it covered (the golden age arc), is essentially a massive fuckin prologue (but again it was massive in the manga as well so no biggie). If you do decide to give it a read, start from chapter 1 though.

The art work is crazy. That got to be time consuming as fuck.

I watched this. I still haven't read the manga, but remember thinking they went really deep into character development. It was impressive to me.
