Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

it's tethered to the dollar although it does fluctuate a little...recently hitting a 'low' of $0.92 and a 'high' of $1.03

I found out about it cuz I was looking into investing in it before I realized the purpose it served

Or just use gate hub and sell for USD but keep USD in the gatehub wallet. You can also send to your bank from the gatehub wallet. So if you want out just hit the button.

ya I have no need to use tether...seems like an unnecessary middle man in that scenario...I was just addressing what he wanted to know

Something I saw in the comments section of YouTube, just something to write down and Keep in mind:

"I think there is a good thing about using Tether: you can avoid capital gains taxes in the United States.Every time you cash out any cryptocurrency for US dollars, you will be responsible for paying capital gains taxes if you have profited. If the cryptocurrency world gets too volatile, you could transfer your holdings to Tether (which is stable) without being subjected to any potential taxes by the US government."

@LegalMoney needs to chime in on this one here.

Hmm...seems like an option for rough times in Crypto. By tethering it to cash, you will basically lock in your balance. I might do it before the Bitcoin Fork.

He might have already. I'm building a word document full of ideas and opinions on small things like this that will probably go under the radar.

that's a damn good idea...there have been some good shit posted in here and I always have to remember who said it and a keyword(s) that they used in order to find posts...would be good for me to just save it under a file

Yeah, it sure is about risk. And people are making a killing. ICOs are getting insane. Bancor did $150 fucking million?!?! Bruh.:eek: I know there is going to be a correction, but as long as cats are getting rich they will be flipping money.

damn I had to google that shit... the crazy shit some person invested over twenty million dollars worth of eth...

This is exactly what this dude says in this video:

I can also see tethering Bitcoins to USDT when Bitcoin runs up.Then when it starts falling a bit, buying Bitcoin back at the lower price.Everytime it has got around 2900 it has dropped to at lease 2700 but usually 2600.

What's up with POT coin? I just saw this clip on the Jimmy Kimmel show and noticed this guy and Dennis Rodman repping POT coin:

I'd be interested in reading what you have to say. It seems every time I take a position on a coin, you were in it already.

Man. It's insane, isn't it. I'm glad so many cats on here are getting a taste of the action.

I had Potcoin back in 2014. :crying:A couple weeks ago, I waited days for the wallet to update to see if I had some(turns out I dumped them). Swore I was going to keep that shit just to see what happens.

I'm still very much an amateur at this game but I'm learning. One thing I need to do is just cash out some BTC so I just have some fiat I can see is real and I can use to pay bills ETC. Blockfolio is not some trading game. That's real money I put into the game. But I got into these coins honestly because of my instincts. Ubiq's shit look like they actually are putting in work to actually DO something. I got in on Redcoins because it was so cheap and I just had money around so fuck it I put something in it and I'm in the green. XVG was another coin that looked cheap so I said fuck it and although it was shit coin that shit coin got me $275 to put into some ETH and LTC.

I'm also learning to set the buy order at the 24 hour low price. Might be a better way but I haven't figured it out yet.

What's a good price to choose to buy in at? I don't understand this. Would the orders fill as the prices go up?

I'm just gonna try to buy in at the 24 hr low price.I got that from coin market cap page. Basically If the coin drops to that price it will automatically order however many you put into the buy field

Thanks bro. Glad I asked you. Almost bid .08 for 3 units. I was like hold up. That shit don't look right. Probably would've been the first sale. Damn.

A lot of us are learning together. It's funny how we can have the same opinions on one coin, and then different ones on another project. But on this board, we at least do it in a constructive manner.

Some coins are instincts for me too. For greed, I look for coins under $100 million that could blow up. Stability? I am in on the major players. We have to continue to bounce opinions off each other and offer constructive criticism.

I was just looking at that Blitzcash coin was a $0.01 in Janurary and its hit $4.14 dollars this month....man I would have been caked up.:smh:

VOXELS (VOX)

Might be worth a look as low coin to get into might blow up. with that VR technology!!

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/voxels/

I mentioned this earlier. Indie games are HUGE...only thing is VR is expensive and probably not worth it for the average gamer..but a major gaming studio could work with these guys and have the price go through the roof. It's a long term hold for me.
