Official BGOL Crypto Currency Thread ★★★★★

lol...bought some QRL EDG and 1ST now they are all under maintenance on bittrex...that's fishy as fuck

*edit*

it says "wallet offline - prepping for bringing back ETH back online"

makes sense since all 3 run on ETH platform

lol I was just complaining to Bills about this yesterday.

I ordered mine on 28 May and I just got it in the mail today so we're looking at 10 business days 14 days total give or take.

Damn. At least you got it. Now you can only make purchases with that card right? No atm withdrawl

I think me and you are the only ones who like HMQ

Dennis Rodman rocking a shirt today for PotCoin.Com, "Banking for the Marijuana Industry" the website says

Currently at .14 on Bittrex, it's also on Polo

Mobile go is coming down. Almost at my buy point. What is this status coin? Seeing a lot of hype

we were talking about it a few pages back...I need to check out the alpha

I'm reading up on how they're planning on handling the ICO -

http://contribute.status.im/

I am not sure but I think 1 ETH will get you 10k SNT* @ least that's what I think they mean by the creation rate...also they are making it clear not to send ETH via an exchange but to send it using using metamask, myetherwallet, mist, parity or imtoken...I'll have to look these up and determine which is the easiest to use...I'm looking to see what their circulating supply is looking like

*edit*

1 ETH = 10k SNT is confirmed

that's roughly $0.04 a token...ETH might be fucking $500 by this weekend tho so it could be $0.05 still fairly reasonable tho

every ETH contributed results in the creation of 10k SNT...they have an early goal of $12M so if I'm correct that's about @ least 300M SNTs that will be created if ETH holds to about $400 when the ICO starts...still not 100% sure on how many SNTs the buyer will receive since they intend to keep 20% of the tokens created

*edit*

chart that shows how the tokens generated will be allocated...so even tho a donation of 1 ETH results in the creation of 10k tokens the buyer will not get 10k tokens

Is the 1 eth the minimum buy in?

Is the 1 eth the minimum buy in?

seems like it...my concern is I don't know how much I'm buying into...I'll more than likely pass on it...I need to use the demo tho and make a firm decision once I fully understand what it's about

I'm looking for more info now....idk if the guy in the slack was just saying that or if it's true

There are some others.

It's tapping into uncharted territory solving a real world problem. And they seem to be active socially. Also I love the supply and current price.

Yeah, I like what they are trying to do. Shit. Folks always talking about how people can't get IDs and that's in the U.S., but they can get a cheap Droid phone anywhere. They just have to work harder on that damn app.

Shiet I bought in when it was $0.12 cents

Damn. It's like all the coins I'm in, you are in -- and picked them bitches up before me. :hmm:

ya that was the other joint I was looking @ ... @Mrfreddygoodbud had mentioned it...my guess is yes you could find a workaround but when it's time to cash out @ some point...if the IRS looks into it would there be penalties for investing in it/profiting from it?

I'd be worried that they would keep my money on some KYC bullshit. They could always say they warned us not to fuck with them.

Yeah, I was just watching this video, but I don't have a clue how tether USD works and how it locks in profits.

it's tethered to the dollar although it does fluctuate a little...recently hitting a 'low' of $0.92 and a 'high' of $1.03

I found out about it cuz I was looking into investing in it before I realized the purpose it served

BTC Markets Will Enable XRP Support In The Next Few Weeks

BTC Markets Will Integrate XRP Shortly
Having more platforms focus on Ripple and the XRP asset is never a bad thing. It goes to show there is a growing demand for the XRP asset on a global basis. Moreover, the addition of XRP support to BTC Markets is good for Ripple as well. The success of the company and its native token are entwined. One cannot succeed without the other. It remains to be seen what kind of an impact BTC Markets can make in this regard, though.

The bigger question most people ask themselves is whether or not this will be beneficial for the XRP price. Over the past few weeks, several platforms and companies have enabled support for Ripple’s native token. Unfortunately, this has done no good to the price whatsoever. In fact, one could argue the XRP price has been dropping steadily ever since more platforms added support for the token. Do keep in mind this is the value against Bitcoin, and not its fiat currency value, which seems to hover around 28-29 cents.

That being said, it is not a bad thing to have more platforms pay attention to XRP. It helps spread the circulating supply across many different exchanges and trading platforms. Considering how Ripple wants to decentralize its technology, the same needs to be achieved for its native token. Right now, the majority of trading is occurring on Poloniex, Coinone, and Bithumb. The fourth exchange on the list generates 20% of the volume compared to any of the top three.

In the end, BTC Markets will bring some more positive attention to Ripple and XRP. The native blockchain asset was never designed for speculation, but more as a way to create some price stability. That is bad news for daytraders and people looking for a quick flip, but it is the way things are going right now. Ripple and XRP will have their moment in the spotlight sooner or later, but it is not something to speculate on from a short-term perspective.

Going to home depot tomorrow to get some wood and build a mining rig frame, I'll post updates when it's finished. I'm currently running 5 GPUs bringing in almost $1k a month mining ETH and SIA. I'm waiting on the other 5 cards to arrive in the mail, which should bring me over $2k a month. Once I have that up and running, gonna make a move for another 10 GPUs to double the monthly income. Goal is to reach 80 GPUs before November. I could do it now but that would mean using almost all of my XRP, but 80 GPUs will give me $15k a month. I might trade my SIA but I think I'm gonna let my mined ETH sit and grow since it's been doing pretty well.

Things I've learned so far about mining ETH for those interested in doing the same:
a. Profitable cards:
- Radeon RX 470 - Gives you about 20Mh/s, if you flash the bios you can get up to 28Mh/s
- Radeon RX 480 - Gives you about 24Mh/s, if you flash the bios you can get up to 29Mh/s
- Radeon RX 570/580 - Gives you about 30Mh/s, if you flash the bios you can get up to 39Mh/s
- Nvidia 1070/1080s - Gives around 30Mh/s, can be flashed for higher rates as well

b. If you're doing multiple rigs, the room you're mining in will become very warm/hot due to the running rigs. Although the fans will do their job for the components; find a way to keep the room cool or remove excess heat.

c. Overclocking your cards can be very finicky, takes a while to get the right combo that plays nice with your cards and gives you the hash rate that you expect.

d. You can mine any coin that has a pool, just look for whatever's profitable or whatever you think might blow up and mine away.

e. Claymore's ETH miner supports AMD and Nvidia cards, you can have both on one mother board and it will detect and utilize them both.

f. A motherboard can hold up to 6 GPUs, make sure you get the mobo that has 6 PCIe slots, then use riser cards to attach the 6 GPUs.

g. Be wary of where you plug your rigs in and how much load is on a specific line. I've tripped the fuse box a few times already having 2 rigs, 2 monitors, and an AC on. I'll be looking into other power sources eventually, especially on the way to 80 GPUs. Currently considering solar panels routed to my extra room that I'll turn into a mining room.

Cost to set this up?

Cost to set this up?
The basics (Motherboard, CPU, RAM, FAN/Heatsink, Hard drive) will run you about $400
Video cards will run you anywhere from $250 to $800 each depending on which one you buy.
To accomplish my goal of 80 GPUs mining, it would cost me around $30k, which I would recoup in about 2 months then it's profit from there.

Nice post. I'm going to have to look to see if my old 980ti can make any fucking noise in this.

I just wanted to take a second and say congrats to everyone who has participated in the thread. Been really dope experience. Due to everything that has happened over the past couple months opportunities have arose in my life that will leave me unable to continue to monitor the thread and wont be on BGOL for the foreseeable future. Just wanted to say congrats to everyone. I renamed the thread to make it more general but best believe Ripple made it what it is..... I'm out!

Interesting.

Thanks OP for introducing me to this Game. I've made a lot of money for my family.

Back to live action, alts recovering nicely after a deep BTC dump.

I got in Pink at 720 about 58% retracement from previous wave. It looks like it's gearing up to attack that 1000 sat area again . If it breaks 1000 it could run.

The low entry buys wiggle room but a stop loss at break even for good risk management.
