Aaliyah's trajectory would have probably taken her away from music and into acting where she would have been a solid B level movie star. Her musical prowess is largely overrated at this point and in its prime was heavily dependent upon Tims producing and Missys writing..

Beyoncé is a world class entertainer able to cross over genres; better singer; probably not a better dancer; but commands a stage and an arena.
Aaliyah wasn't good for many more good/great albums but her movie game would have been aight; she'd have ended up like Ciara IMO; had a good run, fell into the background.
