Official NBA 2016-2017 Thread - 30 teams, 1 goal. 2 weeks left, so much can happen!!

"When you get beat like this, I mean, (Denver is) a good team they played hard, they run a lot of good stuff," Lue said. "But they're still a team that's fighting for the eighth spot. We're the No. 1 team in the East. We gotta play better and we understand that. We got our butts kicked today, and it starts today. We gotta be better."

Get it together Cleveland. Can't let little ole Denver whoop your ass like that.

Seth Curry, keep doing ya thang boy!

He has been killing it since the all star break

It was confusing how he couldn't stick in the league at first cuz he can shoot the fucking ball there is always value in that I think he has found his lane

On another note the Mavs with a useless win

I think y'all keep that 8 seed now but the Mavs are going to keep trying and messing up draft position

Interesting thing is will he use his player option; and if so will dallas pay him; im sure there will be a number of teams lining up..

Also is Doc Rivers gone?

Clippers ain't shit it's time for him to go

Clippers been done; not sure if Doc leaves but if he does where does he go?? Clippers gonna have some decisions to make....

He only making 3 mill a year in sure if he can he will opt out

I think the Mavs will pay him ain't like players are just beating down their door let's be real

Thing about Doc is he is also in charge of personell and he sat there and didn't make a move at the trade deadline knowing the team isn't good enough

He should be fired Clippers about to underachieve again

Clippers never seen the warriors coming and then never caught up when the warriors passed them; Now im not sure what moves they can do now since GS got KD; Paul and Griffin unrestricted so if they resign they still looking up at GS...
Dallas better pay the man :giggle: but knowing them who knows....

Dam I knew Paul was about to be a free agent didn't realize Blake had the option coming up

Wonder if the Mavs gonna chase him as well lol

I could see us losing a guy like Curry chasing waterfalls again

Right now the Cavs defense is pure ass!!! To me they get lazy and their communication on how to play the pick and roll becomes non existent..
The Cavs also called up Larry Sanders, I watched him play for their D-league team, and in my opinion that one game was not enough to see how much work he needs to get back in form.. To me this appears to be a panic move reacting to the fact the Cavs are too small and not tough enough to handle bigger physical teams like the Nuggets, especially when they choose to slow down the pace of the game.
As for the Nuggets, they seem to have a solid team that can beat anybody especially if they are not playing at 100%.

Yep they both are..also jj Reddick is a free agent as well; so they got a lot of decisions to make

Cavs on some ugly shit. Just damn. Crazy that Wesbrook's team is only 5 wins behind them and the Cavs got a lot more talent while running in the east.

And they can only give the huge "franchise/designated player" deal or whatever to one guy right? All I been reading is they plan on giving it to CP3. Blake might dip

Reddick will get paid as well shooters are more valued than ever they won't be able to keep all 3.

Clippers should've traded for Melo or Paul George really no other way to say it

I don't know if its time to panic yet, because if you remember last year Irving was fucking up on defense switching off the pick and roll, not communicating and leaving guy wide open... He even criticized the coach on their defensive scheme... Then as soon as the playoffs came they went into deep lock down mode..
From then I promised not to get on them too much in the regular season, trusting the process instead, but cot damn they are making it tough to believe that they have the ability to cut it on again at will, this season..
Another thing that bothers me a bit, is that there appears to be a pattern going on where they seem to be vulnerable towards bigger teams, to me its due to them being more committed towards playing small ball, a style that is proven to work, even against bigger teams, but only if they are willing to play at a faster tempo..
Unfortunately all the games they lost against bigger teams have been when they played slow and lazy with out any tempo.
The was able to beat Utah with a faster tempo but resorted to playing lazy slow down ball vs the Nuggets. If it is a energy thing I really believe once the playoffs comes they will once again step up, if its a match up problem, well you know how I feel about poor match up problems..

Riddick going to GS to back up Klay

Mavs went from like 14th in the West to 10th now. But for what though?

Either Nuggets or Blazers own the right to get beat by Golden State:lol: Pacers on the road tonight, i'm worried about that when your whole team says, "Protect home and try to steal a couple on the road" That's a losing mentality right there. I bet the top teams don't try to "steal" games on the road. They expect to go in there and come out with the W. Nuggets young and hopefully they figure that part out.

I think a team might be allowed to designate 2 players but that's it; but the thing is if they resign all of them; they still not better than GS; and even they trade for let's say George they have to give up Blake; so they still not better

Well we don't know how true it is but apparently Melo could've been had without given up Blake Paul or Jordan.

Dumb not to make that move

Cavs playing very uninspired but they think they will be fine in the east; you can tell by the way they play; but they have gotten worse defensively and they won't get that much better; they better keep their fingers cross with irving; i don't trust him or love....

I heard that but don't believe it; i think a lot of shit that's was being reported wasn't true; melo won't come cheap

Phil wanted Melo gone and the Clippers apparently were on of the only teams he would've agreed to go to so idk

The Knicks gonna have to take what they can get if they really want him gone

They should be named the Clipperbockers or the West coast Knicks, because I swear those two teams think alike.

Just another storyline for the Finals. Nobody in the East will make them sweat. I really wish somebody would grow some balls and challenge them AND the Golden State but I think it will be a fairly easy road back to another rematch. I still think Warriors road will be tougher. Spurs ain't no punks. Nuggets or Blazers will throw some punches in the first round too.

I still can't believe that the NBA has never had two teams meet in the Finals 3 consecutive times. Definitely would've guessed that happened in the 80's but nope. If they meet again, Lebron can't really say it's not a rivalry.
