Official NBA 2016-2017 Thread - 30 teams, 1 goal. 2 weeks left, so much can happen!!

^^^ cavs sound fucking desperate :smh:

Shit they kinda are, when you worked out two guards coming off injures(jack, chamlers), another wing man coming of a injury(lance), a dude who been retired(sanders)....

This what they have to do

Paul George is heading to the Lakers as a free agent. That's a good start BUT they won't be any better than the Pacers squad he's on now unless they get another star. He still will have a tough road to the Finals but at least he'll be home.

With this I guess it only makes sense for him to want to go there, they wanted him.

The way the Cavs are scrapping up players everywhere reminds me when I'm low on green and it's nothing but shake.

Trying to pick up little pieces so the blunt can get filled. And it ain't loud either. It's that dirty ass grassy looking shit. So it ain't going to smoke good.

these niggas angling to get dwill like he somebody...let that nigga continue to rot on teams like the nets and the mavs...fuck him

Yeah man ion like that shit

Wouldn't have worked chief, and Noel definitely did not want to come off the bench and didn't like his role. Hes a great defense and energy guy, but hes a black hole on offense, and I believe Okafor has the worst +/- of any player in the league when hes on the court.

Glad we made the move, I think we are going to try to package Okafor and some picks on a draft day deal...
Man them cats haven't been in the league long enough to say what they are or what they aren't though. Y'all tanking anyway....you took Noel with a top 5 pick just to ship him out....I don't understand it but I don't think the NBA is meant to understand no more with all these analytics and shit.

When healthy? That nigga ain't been healthy so he's essentially never done right by us lol.

He's not tanking but I don't think they have to lol.

Yogi has been balling for them. They want him to start and get major minutes but they don't want to disrespect DWill. Getting rid of him is the right move. DWill can contribute to a contender. He can give someone a strong 20 to 25 minutes.

He wont be healthy on the Cavs either...

Man it's like his every year. People vying to get some dude another team don't want. I remember that was Andre Miller role like every off-season and trade deadline.

When a player says multiple times he doesn't want to be here, it doesn't change the meaning just because he's in his 3rd, 4th year. Dude straight didn't want to be here, and he may definitely work out for you guys, but no way in hell was he worth what he was going to ask for. He would have definitely been a good defensive player for us and an energy guy, but ultimately, it wasn't going to happen and I for one am glad we avoided a long drawn out drama of a negotiation process with him next summer...

He wanted more of a feature role here, and with Embiid, Simmons, and whoever we get in the draft, in addition to Saric, he would be no better than 4th option and that wasn't going to work.

Hes definitely a great defender and athlete though, but I'm more looking forward to seeing Holmes get minutes and develop because I see him as a lot more versatile of a player than Noel...

I hear ya...

There's mixed comments about the potential signing of him.

Many say he's become a bum, while others say he can be a quality player, I even saw where it said he could be a 3rd string guard,

Me personally I think he's gonna do well for them.

I'm more concerned with Derrick Willams slot, I like what he brings but in order to get a big he will have to be released.

LMaoo at the cavs.. Gibert got no more bread to spend

 he's ass still being petty

It was not so long ago an ugly day dawned upon the NBA, as New York Knicks legend Charles Oakley was kicked out of Madison Square Garden and accused of substance and alcohol abuse. It was a dark day for the already dysfunctional Knicks franchise, who stayed in the headlines since then with their unprofessional treatment of superstar small forward Carmelo Anthony.

An outpour for Oakley transpired since his ejection as MSG, as NBA personalities jumped into his corner and stood by the former Knicks great. One of those people was Cavaliers main man LeBron James, who showed his support for “Unlce Oak” with an Instagram post as well as ending his presser against the Thunder with “Oakley for President”.

A lot has happened since, with the Knicks releasing a statement, new footage of the incident emerging, Oakley’s side of the story, banning Oakley from Madison Square Garden and finally, lifting the ban on Oakley.

The former Knicks fan favorite has since stated he wants a public apology from the Knicks organization, which has yet to come. Some good news has come his way however, with the Cleveland Cavaliers organization and Dan Gilbert inviting Oakley to their Knicks matchup tonight inside Quicken Loans Arena.

Having the Cleveland-native Oakley courtside will be a welcome sight, and it’s a classy gesture from the Cavs organization who are known for making an extra effort for people who they believe are important.

Hopefully the Cavs can get a win and continue to rub salt into the wounds of the Knicks.

That picture infuriates me. I hope Ice Cube's 3 on 3 league is a massive success
