Official NBA 2016-2017 Thread - 30 teams, 1 goal. 2 weeks left, so much can happen!!

@RoadRage you say D will a good fit for the cavs? Have you seen him play these last few years? Lmaoo

He would be cuz he just gonna be a backup

He would be an upgrade at that spot and depending the team they are playing you can even play him and Kyrie at the same time in stretches

Dwill don't deserve to be on the Cavs at all

Man I was kinda excited about Philly,
They could've had a three headed injury prone monster on the front court for at least two years.
They could've worked embryo at the 4 with NN at the 5...with Oak as tr first big off the bench

Shit he's better than running Lebron into the ground. I still rather Rondo only because I feel he would challenge Lebron in a good way.

Raptors, Thunder, Pelicans are the winners
I like what the raptors did; picking up Tucker will help them alot; Pelicans committed child rape to the Kings; i doubt the pelicans make the playoffs though; unless paul told the Celtics he wouldn't resign with them, i don't know how they didn't go hard after him; he must really wanna play with the lakers; im not really sold on what okc did; i like what Dallas did.......

The hell this mean????

You could make them sweat adding George.....but you wasn't getting him for nothing. They say it was a monster deal as if y'all were gonna throw the house at him. Y'all have no superstars for him to play with....Jokic looks like a future star.

I literally just read an article yesterday saying the Nuggets wouldn't mortgage their future for the 8 seed......guess that was a lie. They were ready to give it all except Jokic lol.

I don't know why the 76ers were so scared of that. No shame in having one of them come off the bench.

Yeah that would've beeen dumb to me. He seems to be adamant on going to LA. Nuggets got a good thing going. Y'all need to keep what y'all got and add a George. Jokic really changes things for y'all.

If they really trying to make a push they gonna keep him. It seems to me they wi keep him, don't seem like Cuban is tanking, shit has he ever?
He's not tanking but I don't think they have to lol.

Yogi has been balling for them. They want him to start and get major minutes but they don't want to disrespect DWill. Getting rid of him is the right move. DWill can contribute to a contender. He can give someone a strong 20 to 25 minutes.

Wouldn't have worked chief, and Noel definitely did not want to come off the bench and didn't like his role. Hes a great defense and energy guy, but hes a black hole on offense, and I believe Okafor has the worst +/- of any player in the league when hes on the court.

Glad we made the move, I think we are going to try to package Okafor and some picks on a draft day deal...

Fyi, the Bulls traded 2 first round picks and a second rounder for Doug McDermott less than 3 years ago, now they trade him away (and Taj and a draft pick) for basically nothing. Im so done right now.

I understand Taj was getting older and was on an expiring contract, but they didnt get back shit in return. They basically got a bunch of HOPE!

Interesting short article I read last night. Seems to be the case right now.

Bulls Being Run From Business-First Perspective

Michael Reindsorf has taken a larger role within the Chicago Bulls this season as Jerry Reinsdorf has shifted to being purely an advisor on major decisions. Even then, Jerry Reindsorf wants his son to have final say.

Former and current Bulls personnel believe Michael Reinsdorf is running the team from a business-first perspective and measures success by the franchise's profitability and marketability. While winning a title remains a priority, it takes a back seat to the Bulls' financial health.

Multiple sources indicated that the anger expressed by several corporate sponsors went a long way in the Bulls staying away from a full rebuild in the offseason, leading to the Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade signings, despite neither being a fit for what coach Fred Hoiberg likes to do offensively.

This calculus figures to play a part in the Bulls' decision on whether or not to trade away Jimmy Butler.

Bulls are content with milking that MJ Champ team money. They aint worried about titles. I canceled my season tickets a little over a year ago and i rarely buy single game tickets today. Wish other fans would do the same.

TV ratings are already dropping. Imho, more fans need to jump ship until ownership starts caring.

Reinsdorf's still eating well off the Jordan/Pippen era Bulls and have little incentive to improve as long as 23k a game are showing up at West Madison.

Kyrie Irving hints at Larry Sanders’ future with the Cavaliers

Yesterday, the NBA’s defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers invited former Milwaukee Bucks big man Larry Sanders to town for a workout session.

Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio and Amico Hoops first reported that the Cavs could elect to strike a deal if they like what they see in Sanders.

Kyrie Irving, Cavaliers superstar point guard, was recently asked if he thinks Sanders’ skill-set would fit in with the team. The crafty ball-handler hinted that a deal for Sanders may already be in the works.

Via reddit.com:

I’ll have a better answer for you when we get some practice,” Irving said of Sanders.

Sanders, 28, hasn’t played in the NBA since his days with the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2014-15 season. Through his 233 career games played in the NBA, the 6-foot-11 center holds averages of 6.5 points (48% shooting) and 5.8 rebounds.

The Cavs are currently without the services of Kevin Love for five to six more weeks due to a knee injury and are known to be seeking a backup rim protector. It seems Sanders could be their man.

Cavs Head Coach Tyronn Lue and Irving had high praise for Sanders after yesterday’s practice.

Will the champs offer the former Virginia Commonwealth product a 10-day deal? Or will they elect to sign him for the remainder of the season? Keep your browsers locked on Cavs Nation for more updates as they become available.
