The Brooklyn Nets have dropped their asking price for Brook Lopez ahead of Thursday's trade deadline.

The Nets have been seeking two first round picks in exchange for Lopez, but they now are willing to accept a first round pick and a second round pick.

With the New Orleans Pelicans acquiring DeMarcus Cousins from the Sacramento Kings for just Buddy Hield, a first round pick and a second round pick from the 76ers, the Nets have seemingly lost leverage in negotiations.

Check it out

Jimmy back before he resigned wanted a 48 million dollar extension

Bulls wouldn't go past 44

He signs qualifing offer and bets on himself

HE THEN RESIGNS FOR MAX (90 million)

If I'm the owner, I would say u cost me 50 million that I didn't need to spend cause u wouldn't budge on 4 million dollars.

WOW

Ryan McDonough spoke publicly about the Phoenix Suns' interest in DeMarcus Cousins the day after he was traded by the Sacramento Kings to the New Orleans Pelicans.

“We would have traded for him at the right price,” said McDonough. “We didn’t want to break up our young core to get him.”

The Suns could have offered Cousins an opportunity to reunite with his former Kentucky teammate Eric Bledsoe.

Phoenix are owed a number of picks from the Miami Heat along with their own that they could have used to trade for Cousins.

According to a source that spoke with Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, the Suns offered a package of players and multiple first round picks.
