One problem that jump shooters have is that they need to shoot a lot to get a rhythm, by having too many shooters its difficult to obtain that rhythm especially when your not getting enough rebounds.
Right now Thompson is looking like Barns in the finals mainly because he is taking as many shots as Barns as opposed the the amount of shots he shot last year..
Yesterday it wasn't a problem, largely due to the sloppy play of OKC, their bricks and lack of rebounds... But vs teams who can actually shoot for a high % once again you see the same problems creep up...

Folks used to laugh at the importance of a player like J.R. Smith, but the difference is he is a role player/specialist who's job is to hit the big shot when he is needed, this is very difficult to do when you get so few touches especially in big games.. Thompson is going to have to swallow his pride and embrace this role and stop thinking of himself as a splash brother...
But any one who has played basketball knows this is harder to do than it looks..

The first year of the big three in Miami I was harder on the Heat even when they were winning, because I knew they wasn't a complete team... Damn.... One thing I will say is, Steve Kerr is going to prove his mettle as a coach this year @Selfscience ..... They do have some obvious deficiencies, and he is going to have to adjust to those and either fix them, or figure out a way to win in spite of them. Not sure why he hasn't started working in McGee to the flow, even if its for 5-10 mins a game. Dude is a head case, but showing confidence in him may reap some real benefit later...

Whats not fair to the Warriors is that they are constantly going to be compared to last years club, the best regular season team in the history of the sport..
The thing about that club is they never had any let downs even after back to backs... So where's a regular team may get a pass for losing after a back to back, folks will be extra hard on the Warriors..
As far as me, I don't look at wins and losses too much, those things happen in sports, but instead I look for trends and weaknesses, and if a team seems to have the same problems day in and day out, even if they are winning (as in the Heat the first season ) it can still be a problem..
