Official NBA 2016-2017 Thread - 30 teams, 1 goal. 2 weeks left, so much can happen!!

Even with the blow out look at the line...
Curry -9 from his last years averge, Green -5, Thompson -4, Durant is +21 over Barnes so in actuality if you don't include the bench they scored just +2 over a average game from last years starters, but that unit had Bogut a better rim protector and a better bench...
I know the starters was pulled but many times the starters were pulled in blowouts also, so that figured in in their average...

Bogut kept the Cavs out of the paint. Set the tone. He is underrated. Honestly, I think we are in for a great series between GS and the Cavs if there aren't injuries.

i don't think zaza will be starting next calendar year. the size is there the rotation isn't set

the cavs are on auto pilot as they should be.

I think he should start but he shouldnt play more than 15-20min a night; he passes well and is a solid rebounder; he uses his body well, he just cant jump or block shots...

I agree that the Warriors may make a move or two before the season is over...
But like last year they still can win it all even with flaws... After all no team is with out flaws..

just big man rotation is all. their activity is increasing because they're learning where they need to be on the defensive end. once kd figures his place warriors will be able to guard 2/3/4 with thompson kd and green.
every night.

You just don't piss away an all-NBA defender like that. He made a difference because he set the tone that helped the potent offense get off. It's like giving a fast person a head start. Cavs just would stop attacking with Bogut in.

i thought it would be so much better. its still early but they needed to get more practice in before they got on tv imo.
feels like they showed up last week and was like just wing it..
Its turrible.. Classic case of fucking with a good thing unnecessarily and having a lesser product as result. Taking air time away from Chuck , Kenny, and Ernie to see KG/Sheed awkwardly converse amongst themselves and fumble through "analysis" was a bad idea.

Yep that was dumb I always said that they never recovered from that but having two top 5 players in the league you still supposed to make that work
Famo check it out

Imagine u just bought the sonics and yo key piece is KD

Then thw next year when. U move u get Weatbrook to play the point. Next year u get Harden to be the 2

Next year u get ibaka

How in theee fuck 10 years later in 2017 u might not have NONE OF THEM.

If I'm the owner, presti is answering some questions ASAP

Westbrook def gone after that extension. And they will be the west conference nets

Shit the Cavs working on something also. Jordan and Mo on the trading block. If they have too they gonna wait on Mario Chalmers, I like the idea of Jack but getting rid of shum should be a no no...

Dude close out games on the best offensive player, Cavs can lock down the wings and make it really hard for teams to score(they have to be locked in tho)

not saying he ain't worth nothing i am saying just wait and see.

they could just run that shit on tnt online lol that's more appropriate place for it.

Getting rid of Shumpert for Chalmers is a very, very bad idea... They say the Cavs need a back up pg, to me they need to try Feldon and Liggins in games instead..
To me the Cavs are set, may be I would be tempted to pick up another big man just in case their center position of Thompson, Frey and even Birdman would have problems with a real physical bigman in the paint... Lucky for them there aren't too many of those guys left in the NBA..

NBATV these niggas.
shaq is trash too telling everybody shut the hell up cause he hella mad getting all loud
A complete moron.. The show survived adding him only because he plays the part of the buffoon. They shoulda ended there. They are pushing their luck now.

Always wait and see with a move like this. Your team was not getting the glory for defense it should have. If the team gels and figures it out, they will be great.

Seems like Kyrie and Kevin have a lot of confidence now. GS figuring shit out. If things continue on this path, the finals will be entertaining.

Yea he just tries way too hard. They didn't agree with his list and instead of defending it from a basketball standpoint he like oh im a big man and shut the hell up

The defense has already stepped up from game 1 to now. Steph spoke on it the other day. Just figuring out roles and spacing and stuff. They're way more aggressive now and even getting blocks.
missing a key defender in mccaw for the 2nd unit right now but very much a work in progress.

That's the shit the Cavs took two years to figure out on the offensive end after they supposedly had a super team. We knew the D would be trouble with Love, but the offense suffered gelling problems.

Yeah, I'm biased, don't want GS to succeed. But I also give credit when it's due. What's crazy is Love might gel with the Cavs in year 3 while your team gets it together in year 1. Confidence is so much in sports. Love and Irving are playing like they feel it --as they should.

Harrison Barnes who? Lmaoo

@largebillsonlyplease you guys might have lost the defensive presence Boguts brung but adding KD the offense is way more potent... Y'all should've kept Barbosa tho

The thing about the defensive presence is that bogut wasn't logging 40 minutes a night. he is no doubt important but i think we can fill that role with someone that is on the team.
and ian clark is taking barbosa's place but he's proving he can actually dribble and dish and do more than just be a blur...which is dope for the 2nd unit.
still got iggy still got livingston to run the offense but the thing that's going to change is on any given night you gonna have steph klay or durant running with the 2nd unit for stretches..

I wasn't worried about offense for the simple fact that it was an offense that allowed Harrison Barnes to get put 13 shots a game..
K.d. can take his shots and boguts 4 shots and that's 17 shots to him. He can get it anywhere on the floor.
already you see they have him running the point at times. they are not having him stand at the 3 they are not running plays for him to shoot 3's the plays are for him to go to the rim or in the post. he's posted up in this 4 game stretch.. low post.. more than i can remember his entire career with the thunder.
klay and steph aren't even hitting yet..

defensively is all i want to see defense is the key. knowing how to trap how to attack how to help and communicate then we'll see what's up.

I think that's it right there. That's why I say it's crazy that the cavs might finally gel offensively with GS having problems on defense. Makes things interesting. Too early to tell with any of this shit, but we are dealing with a tiebreaker season.

Their defense is already gelling man. It's not even a quarter of the way there yet but they're getting blocks and strips and things that can work going forward. The thunder have actual back to the basket bigs out there.
it's just gotta come together as well as the rotation. all that's needed is a big that's going to actually contest. if you know he's going to contest it's different in there. i don't think zaza is that guy. he can rebound and he can finish he can pass as well
but things like rebounding..you add in kd's rebounding and its way superior to barnes and then green's already..
interesting.
i just wish more eastern teams presented a challenge than they do currently
