I've got to be the lamest mofo, cause no way am I paying a park to get on a ride to scare the shit out of myself. I don't do roller coasters or any type of crazyness like that. I'm good. I have no death wish, some crazy CAC shit to me.

I hear you on that. Just glancing at some of the extreme rides out there, you know if 1 thing goes wrong ... it's Final Destination. Rollercoasters are 1 thing ... extreme shit is for the birds. Kids aren't supposed to be dying on waterslides.

Seeing that people actually sit in it, I thought it was like a one person slide down thing.. I see its fully netted going down. Maybe it went airborne and turned on its side?

Yeah - must have lost contact with the surface & torn through or something.

I live in KCK. I never been in that park, rode by at a thousand times. High ticket prices!

when ever anything is priced high in this country is to intentionally keep a certain demographic out...

but if this keeps happening, they are going to start advertising specifically to that demographic...

with two for one specials and half price on weekends..

I ain't no cac...but I'm a ride the fuck outta them roller coasters...
Even when I was 18, I still wouldn't get on them things. Being from Brooklyn, knowing the stories of the Cyclone and how people went flying off that, they can show me a million safetly reports, I just don't do any of them extreme rides. The worst roller coaster I ever did was the train at Disney World and I'm good. Even one time on a free fall ride at Great Adventure, this chick's long hair got pulled into the track and yanked her, killed her.

I'm not sky diving, bungee jumping, none of that nonsense. If there was a purpose, like the plane about to go down, I'll jump, I'm not scared of stuff like that, but am not risking anything for a "woo hoo", seen too much craziness when I worked for EMS. I'm good...

I've worked in the theme park industry for 25 years. People ask me all the time, "do I ride the rides? That must be fun!"

My answer is always. No.

*if you know what I know you'd avoid them shits

Skydiving is the shiiiiiit. You have to try it at least once.

Decapitated. :smh: His family is going to need therapy for fucking life if they were at the park. Just think about how hype kids are to go to amusement parks and how most families have to save up money(food prices high as fuck) to go. Just damn. :smh:

I will but once I don't have to worry about my last kid, meaning raising him, other two are out the house. That's my only concern with crazy shit, is my mouths to feed/raise. But it's on my bucket list. But I will still probably have two parachutes and the emergency one as well, lol.

Fair enough brother. My homie sold his motorcycle when he had his kid. He's a great rider, but that doesn't mean he's surrounded by great cagers. I've been run off the road by the texting and driving dicks many a time.

look like its enclosed...maybe he flew out the tube and hit that enclosure...still don't see how that could decapitate him...sad shit

Ride fan here as well...I'm still trying to figure out how he was decapitated - did he try to stand up or something?

Where is the confirmation that he was decapitated? Only saw the first post that said it, but nothing supporting this.

Edit.

Damn, didn't see the tweet up above. Wow.

Nigga.

I know yeen just gon leave it there lol

Welp. Here's what I know.

Dirty secret of the TPI (Theme Park Industry) Most rides fail safety checks and are allowed to run anyway. Why? People spend money and they expect to ride, so fuck it. Unless you are getting red all across the board they'll let 'em run anyway. That's called acceptable systems failure in many cases.

The maintenance workers aren't experts on these rides. They can only do what they Supe instructs, so if he says it's cool, it's cool.

There are WAY more injuries on rides that you just don't hear about. Comp them some tickets and call it day. Deaths happen a few times a year but are spread out so it doesn't seem like that often (but keep in mind) The Industry is huge, world wide and spans the globe. Most of us belong to IAAPA (Theme park association) ask any long time industry worker if they ride the rides and they are going to tell you the same thing I said. NO...in many cases FUCK NO....

Water parks almost have the highest rate of injuries, and accidental deaths over other parks. The insurance is ridiculous just to operate one. They are cheap to maintain though because they only operate for a limited amount of time during the year. Not to mention the bacteria in a park could poison 10 city blocks. Some water parks (I had booths in two, one a year ago and one 20 years ago when I first started) only cleaned their water once a week. Usually on Wednesdays. Come on Sunday and the place'll smell like a sewer. It's full of coli. TRUST ME...

And lastly, here's the thing. Rides are bought and traded more than a prostitute on a city dock. Many rides a park introduces "as their feature ride" this year was shipped in from some other park who "featured it the last 3 years" and featured it elsewhere before that". So they are taking these rides down and rebuilding and painting them over and "theming them, making you feel that they are new but guess what? This ride and it's parts are 20 years old. It's just new to you....

Don't get me started on Carnivals....they are even worse. :smh:

Would have been more person hurt if it did that. Three people are in the raft, at a max of 550 pounds. And the netting is there because the sides are low enough you can see over. It also is unlikely it went airborne since the first delay in opening was to soften the force on the hump at the bottom. Allegedly $1 million was spent to redesign that part.

I figure the kid was too small to ride and somehow the seat-belt broke his neck. It sounds more reasonable than some of the twitter comments that sound over the top.
