NBA Offseason 2016 - FreeAgency money dried up...Waiters gets $2.6 after OKC pulled $6+ offer...

Yea I understand that, guess I should've said all he'd need to get is bout 20 and chill...but knowing them fuckers they gonna try and break the record they set this year and blues teams...cheatcode and KD ain't gonna play the 2nd half...
the thing is bro, everybody is talking about KD losing shot attempts and whatnot, but he's never come off as the kind of guy who worries about that stuff. At this point, it seems like winning a championship is more important to him than padding his stats.

So he was supposed to go to the sixers to make you feel better?
He ain't in OKC cause Westbrook ain't committing to staying in OKC either. Period. Hortford said Westbrook would not say he was going to reup with OKC
so is durant supposed to WAIT and then potentially see and then if westbrook leaves and he's stuck you guys can sit back and say "he should've joined the warriors/spurs/clippers/ when he had the chance?"

lmao

Durant didnt commit because Westbrook wouldnt commit?

You got a link to prove that fam?

I do not have a link to prove that. I do have Hortford telling him he wouldn't commit to staying in OKC that's why he went to boston. So if he wouldn't commit to Hortford its reasonable to assume that he wouldn't be committing to Durant past this season.
which ties into the time time is now thing. It was now or never if he wanted to be on the warriors because if they match barnes 95 million which they would have foolishly, then there's no way he'd be on the team next year or beyond.

Your comparisons are WAY off the mark.

Durant was already on a super team. 2 of the top 5 NBA players. A bench that scores, defends and rebounds, a coach that put them in a winning situation... There were no missing pieces here, just a lack of execution by the players.

So Durant leaves a superteam in exchange of... A better superteam. A team so super that they dont even need him to win rings and break records.

You see thats the difference here. Heat dont win those rings without James. Lakers dont win without Shaq. Showtime dont win without Magic. Celtics dont win without Bird...

I dont think anyone here, if we were honest, had any other team then GS as the favorites to win next year BEFORE Durant got there.

So if he was already on a super team than why does it matter that he left one super team for the next?

u say youre tryna rebuild ...get younger faster...so you try to trade two old dudes...and then sign another dude who turns 35 in Jan for over 20 per???? Wade still has game...but give me a break!!

Gar & Pax tryna save face so another team will pick them up after they lose their jobs in 2-3 years. Theyre obviously not serious about rebuilding. Bulls need to start cleaning mid season next year.

I hear you, but now you are making excuses for him by reaching like that. Its also possible Westbrook didnt commit to Horford because Durant didnt commit to him first. Westbrook has no reason to stay if Durant leaves.

Beyond wanting the best situation to win a ring(s), we dont know what else motivated Durant to bounce.
