Cavs Looking To Add Depth To Team Through Trade, According to ESPN

Right before the NBA Draft, the Houston Rockets were reportedly looking to trade away a few players including swingman Trevor Ariza. Their attempts were unsuccessful, however, as they couldn’t find a proper suitor for Ariza. He may no longer be on the market after the major roster upgrade, but there is a team interested: the Cleveland Cavaliers.

According to Chris Broussard of ESPN, the Cavs want to try and acquire Ariza in a trade with Houston, but again, the Rockets aren’t looking to trade.

Through five days in NBA free agency, the Cavs and Thunder are the only two teams who haven’t made a move in agreeing with a free agent. One team is obviously doing a lot better than the other, as we all know, but the Cavs still have a lot of work to do this offseason to try and counter to prepare the Western Conference All-Star team in Oakland.

Stay tuned for the latest on Cavs free agency.

Rush already signed somewhere else, and from what I undersand, Barbosa wanted more bread! Chalmers is cool coming off the bench and is a 2 time champion fam! Good pickup... If they get Ray Allen, even though you think hes bum sauce at this point I think a few Dudes heads are going to explode here!
Right I see that now; Rush signing with the T-wolves; I think I would rather have Barbosa than Allen at this point; They need another big though; I dont like Chalmers at all:lol:

Didn't get anything from your post... I asked a question, didn't make a statement.

So, based on your point and some other posts you've made... Here is what I get and tell me if I'm off balance:

1) It's only acceptable for a player to go to a good/great team at the end of their careers?
2) Even though there were rumblings about Durant digging GS prior to this season, he should have changed his mind based on how the teams season turned out?
3) A great player should leave his future (in terms of the capacity to win a chip), essentially in the hands of a GM to make the write moves, and put the right team around him?
4) Based on your issues with his decision, what are the teams out there that would have been 'acceptable' for him to go to and why?

Notice, all points have a question mark next to them to Bruh, not making statements, asking questions...

1) its acceptable for supporting cast players to pull that move. Old and young.

2) Yes. His rivals are an historic. ATG team without him. Its a challenge he could overcome, he proved to us this year that he could. We were looking forward to seeing him him take it on again next year.

3) Durant is a free agent. He has the right to pick his team and no one questions that. There needs to be a balance between taking your career in your own hands and jumping on bandwagons. I will add that the GM in OKC did his job, Durant was already on a superteam.

4) if he would have joined the Clippers or Heat, for example, i couldnt hate on that. The challenge would still be in front of him. The journey has meaning.

I played the mavs in 2k last nite updated roster and was shocked af to hear his name...they still got devin harris too...ain't heard that name in a minute lol

Yea threat mavs field a solid team...folks like to called washed up

But Felton, Williams and Harris is still a solid back court...

Respect...

Follow up...
1). So superstar players don't really have the options of being FREE agents then. They are under a different set of rules that puts their ability to win chips in the hands of GMs? So essentially, with your logic, they aren't really free agents, their ability to choose should be restricted!?! So, average players should have more rights and free will than Superstars?

2). His career needs to be defined by what others decide is best for him? He gave 9 years to OKC, even erupted when he initially had the chance to leave. So at what point is it 'acceptable' for him to leave? What criteria does he have to meet in order to be able to use the rights given to him as a free agent and make the choice for his career that HE wants to?

3). Again, what does the term FREE mean in the term FREE agent for a superstar? Who determines that there HAS to be the 'balance' you speak of? So, if a player is a superstar then he should have his right to choose to play wherever he wants to violated and restricted?

4). The journey has meaning to YOU... Unfortunately, you didn't make the sacrifices to hone your skills, reach the highest levels of your craft to be one of the best in the world at what you do. He didn't spend hours in the gym, put up 1000s of shots, etc to develop his skills to put the desires of the casual fan above his own happiness. Again I say, what does the term FREE agent mean? If his choices need to be limited to only certain teams, then the whole FREE agent thing needs to be redefined.

He made the choice he felt is best for him.... It is what it is... That's what FREE agency means...

:giggle::giggle:...he's done!!!!!but this dude @RoadRage really posted that KD is only going to average 17pts a game:hmm:really, i mean seriously :hmm:..can't make this stuff up:smh:

Well that could be close to his numbers, don't have to overdue it...

29 mins a game for the starters...
I'd like to think MoufStayWideOpen could average a triple double....

That team made 3 pt record probably get down with two months left into the season...

Bro, considering all the wide-open looks Barnes missed, and considering how many open looks is going to be transition between the three perimeter shooters do two teams not being able to double either of them?! All this Durant's shots and touches are going to be down is really not very intelligent. Playing with Russell Westbrook, who was so bogged down in it at times it was sickening, and for him to still average 28 points a game and that environment, Golden State's free-flowing offense which is predicated on movement is going to be like a kid in a candy store for him. If anyone's numbers are going to suffer slightly I would say yes. No way he averages 30 points a game next season, I give him 20 to 23, Thompson 18 to 22, and KD around 25.

Yea I understand that, guess I should've said all he'd need to get is bout 20 and chill...but knowing them fuckers they gonna try and break the record they set this year and blues teams...cheatcode and KD ain't gonna play the 2nd half...

It guess since the we're responses off the original they link them in...
