Justin Timberlake BLASTED For Tweeting About Jesse Williams' 2016 BET Awards Speech

If you weren't watching the BET Awards last night, you missed one helluva show which included an incredibly inspiring speech by Jesse Williams that apparently got Justin Timberlake in some hot water!

Shortly after the Grey's Anatomy star accepted his Humanitarian Award at the show and talked about equal rights for black people, Justin took to Twitter to praise the actor saying:

Well it wasn't long after this that people started calling JT out, even saying things like:

SRSLY?!

Unfortunately, Timberlake took the troll bait and responded saying:

You can imagine the bottom feeders of Twitter had a blast with this and continued to criticize the father of one over various things. Thankfully the Can't Stop the Feeling singer realized he shouldn't Kanye West the situation and decided to apologize, simply tweeting:

Do you think really UNDERSTOOD the speech in the first place?

Was Jessie talking about us all being ONE RACE?

Jesse said that without saying it though. If someone asked me about the speech my first answer wouldn't be anout us
Being equal.

People giving Justin a hard time but cac or no cac he makes his money off of the "all lives matter" audience and he doesn't have to pretend to be black. Well not anymore anyway lol.

Thought he was gonna jump on our side with his fist in the air like no one would notice. Fuck outta here!!

Fuck this white imitation Usher, AllLivesMatter ass cac and the niggas that work with him after he pulled his white card and left Janet to take the fall.

I swear I hate these type of folks on some kumbaya, we're all one, "I don't see color" shit.

Basically, trying to "extinguish" racism, in their minds, by not acknowledging that it exists. Fuck outta here.

I can't throw shade at Justin Timberlake. At the height of his popularity he decided to move back to Tennessee and has focused on starting projects and investing in the Memphis community. I didn't see anything wrong with his comment. I also think we need to get off this White musician stealing our music shit. Good music is good music. Who cares who sings. I'd rather listen to JT over 90% of the bullshit coming out of the mainstream these days.

Exactly!!!!

If you've never used your platform to acknowledge and renounce the hatred and bigotry you see daily... Then don't open your fucking mouth for some middle of the road, passive, pussy ass co sign that is not needed nor wanted.

Especially if you a cac who made his fame co opting black music while coming from the same state that birthed Elvis fucking Presley.

I thought his first tweet was fine

and he should have just left it alone

cause ANYTHING he would say AFTER that?

Would not be in his best interest.

Because we constantly criticize white rappers and R&B singers etc for staying silent when we are being murdered

but we can't burn them to the ground with ANY comment they make

ESPECIALLY when we got people making SERIOUS damaging comments on Black folk every day and we don't do anything at all about them.

NOTHING.

Thats the problem with social media.

" I was truly inspired by@iJesseWilliams speech because I really do feel that we are all one... A human race"

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

that statement directly contradicts what Jesse was saying

We are NOT all one

cause we are NOT treated as all one

So when JT says "we are all one"

It means he see NO work to be done

Fuck cac speak

Can't believe some of you can't decode a simple ass statement like this in 2016

Back to black bootcamp for some of you

Go read Yurugu

I like Justin and don't think he has any ill intent

However, you just summed things up very nicely.

A delusional CAC thinking that we are "all one".
He must have snorted or inhaled or injected or easten SOMETHING to come up with an idea like that.

:confused::confused::confused:
yeah. the majority has accepted each of them cause they make good music..... black or white. which is universal but do they stay in their lanes or do they address issues which they try understand but know nothing about? sounds like a lose lose really. do we accept people who try to understand our plight or do we condemn them because they dont understand?

your goal shouldn't be for ANYONE to understand

else subconsciously you want their acceptance

when you understand self, you understand that we are way superior in humanity, from the way we treat each other, our core belief systems, our achievements in the arts and sciences

so we are good just as we are

it is them that needs fixing

and that is their problem

as evidenced by their high rates of suicides and mental health issues that they try to keep away from teh public

no way i want to ever be them

Why do you muthafuckas love false equivalency arguments while playing devils advocate.. I wont even entertain why both your analogies are fucking horrible, misinformed, and uneducated.. But i will say that there is NO equivalent to what whites have done, and currently do as it pertains to stealing culture and garnering fame and fortune off black genius only to ignore the black struggle that birthed said genius.

You don't know who is pretending and who is not. Calling someone out and not knowing the truth makes you look stupid.
Pretending that our "plight" is somehow so complicated. complex and buried that its supposedly hard for sincere white folk to understand is whats really stupid. Certainly for one who grew up in the American South and whose relevancy is literally attached to STEALING and mimicking black music.

I agree. But I'm glad Justin let that troll on Twitter know how he felt but silenced him in the process after he killed him with kindness.

Stop it with this stealing shit. If you don't like white people so much why do you use the Internet. White people invented the Internet. Again stop it with your over excessive bullshit.
