So for 2 years in his whole career he's played defense? 2 in 12 is a fluke. Barely even worth mentioning. What would make him or what has made him play lockdown defense because I've never seen it?

Defense wins championships. I know all about the fact that it takes a hell of a lot more energy to play on both ends of the Court, but he won't play defense without Pat Riley? Being in Cleveland I've watched him almost his whole career and he gets credit for being a good Defender for the chase down blocks and the passing Lane steals, but a great defender that does not make

Actually let me rephrase what I said earlier. Kobe was fake before Colorado and Shaq. After Colorado and Shaq he embraced the villain and figured you weren't going to like him anyway, so why should he fake it. He was really what Lebron was trying to be. Before people thought he was being fake, because that's what celebs did. IMO he was sort of like Chuck, but Kobe had two phases of his career.. I don't think Kobe shared much in his early career, so nobody really knew him. After Colorado he was unapologetic about everything. I think also a part of that was growing up and becoming a man and being your own person.

I think too many are too hypocritical of him, because he did it in front of the world. He was trying things out and figuring what suited him, then finally he was like fuck it.
