BGOL review .. BATMAN V SUPERMAN... (thoughts, summary, spoilers)

Wow so you actually attempted to answer these plotholes. Ok let's grade your responses and let's see if I can do it without making some smart ass remarks. Once again, I'm a huge DC fan and I didn't drop these questions because I honestly didn't know the answer. I'm asking these questions because as a movie, this film left these plot holes dangling and this is unacceptable.

2.
Another asinine question by someone who fell asleep whenever explosions were not happening onscreen. :smh:

The entire movie they discuss the COLLATERAL DAMAGE that Superman’s heroic efforts cause. That’s a major ‘plot point’ that you never paid any attention to.

This central issue is EXACTLY what fuels Batman’s rage.
Bruce says (over and over again) that Superman is responsible for the ‘collateral damage’ that follows in his wake.

Now, hold that thought. (I’ll get back to it later.)

First, lemme point out the shit you missed that DIRECTLY answers your question.

They blame Superman for the Collateral Damage in Africa because after the massacre… Holly Hunter presided over a Congressional hearing and a woman from that same African Tribe DIRECTLY BLAMED Superman for everyone in her village getting killed. (But you probably were not paying attention as she was giving her testimony. :smh: This much is clear.)

So everyone died. And the only people who tell ‘their side of the story’ in front of any cameras….. blame Superman. And that’s what shapes ‘public opinion’.

Ok.. Simple.. My question was what collateral Damage did Superman do in Africa? Everyone died before he arrived. He pushed some dude through a wall and then cut to next scene. What did he do specifically? The movie wanted to make this a huge deal. How did his actions lead to the village getting burned. Why did he have to defend his actions to Lois, by telling her... I didn't kill those people.
You still didn't answer my question.

Wake up…. Lois was investigating the origin of the bullet she found. She meets with General Swanwick (Harry Lennix) and she learns that the U.S. Military (with the clandestine help of LexCorp) may be involved in VERY SHADY dealings with an international criminal named Anatoli Knyazev. (That’s WHY it’s classified information. They didn’t want the general public to know that the US Government may be ‘doing business’ with terrorists & criminals. But you missed that part. It’s obvious.)

Ok I will give you credit for the part about Anatoli Knyazev and the Government not wanting to mention it on the record, but Why were they using special bullets? Maybe Lex hoped that Batman or Superman would eventually trace them back to him... for the showdown. I don't know, the movie still didn't say. I mean these were one of a kind bullets. So I'll just accept your response and move on.

Probably the dumbest question you could have asked.
When 9/11 happened the US did not send troops overseas the very next weekend.

So in the aftermath of the Zod incident, I’m sure Bruce Wayne was dealing with all the death & destruction of SKYSCRAPERS and implications on his business & the city as a whole… while seething with anger over all the loss of life.

Or he could have been trying to figure out how to stop this menace who is ‘too strong’ for ‘modern weapons’ to even have a slight impact on.

Things do not happen overnight. Regardless of what you think.

Oh I forgot, you need to see him start to rebuild his buildings, or attend ALL the funerals of his employees onscreen, huh?

Or you need SEE Superman stop by his house with a ‘gift basket’ and a handwritten note, right?

Because the script falls apart if the audience doesn’t know WHY it took 18 whole months. I get it.
You need all this shit spelled out for you. :smh:

You are just pulling shit out of your ass on this response. This movie made it seem like Clark just heard about Batman and just now decided that maybe I should write about him being a menace. Why now? What is different about Batman now? The answer nothing.... The writers just said fuck it... Let's get to the tension now by having Clark see a video of some Guys branded by Batman and get to it.

At one point Louis was across the World in some remote hideout and probably thousands of miles away from him. Yet he showed up right before she was about to be shot. She barely screamed and he was there in two seconds.

Similar situation happened to his mom and nothing. He didn't flinch. So if he pays attention to Lois because he is in love with her, then based on your position he doesn't love his Mom. Really??? This is your counter... This is where we are going? Ok...

Super-hearing at Lex’s house. And X-Ray vision when he tore the doors off the Batmobile.
Bruce Wayne doesn’t have it. :smh: Next question.

Point out the exact moment that Superman used X-ray vision when he tore the doors off. Directly from the movie.. and not you adding it in. You can't because it never happened.

Wow ,your questions get dumber and dumber. Unbelievable. :smh:

Clearly Lex was tracking meta-humans for quite some time judging by all the footage seen on his computer. And Wonder Woman found out somehow.. well because she carries a magic lasso that makes people, henchmen, underlings, and criminals ‘tell the truth’. (How many people do you think she had tie-up to start a trail that leads to Lex?)

So she probably left her homeland of Themiscyra and came to Metropolis to find out WHY she was being tracked.

And how did he Lex get it? Ask yourself… How do BILLIONAIRES get things? :dunno:
Now, Wait for it. It might hit you any second now.

Oh I forgot. You need all this bullshit explained to you.
Step-by-step. In a piece-meal fashion.

Otherwise, the script is lacking. Yup, I know.

Wonder Woman said that she abandoned humanity 100 years ago. So it is safe to assume she wasn't going around Lassoing people or saving anyone during this time. How would Lex know she was a special?

Tell me the moment this film explained how Wonder Woman found out how Lex got this picture? You can't never happened. She just casually mentioned to Bruce. Lex has a picture of me. That's it. That's all you get.

Tell me why this picture is significant to her? You can't never mentioned.

Tell me the exact moment that Wonder Woman said that her homeland was Themiscyra in this movie. You can't because again never happened.

You can't add in shit from outside the movie to answer these questions.

They gonna answer all these dumbass questions for you in her ‘solo’ movie.
Buy your tickets now.

So this is your response. You are completely cool with this.
If this is your response to that question, then you are the perfect sucker for what DC did here.

Hey people.... I've got this movie for you, but I'm going to leave all of kinds of plot holes.. Why??? Cause Fuck you.. Give me Money.

They gonna answer all these dumbass questions for you in her ‘solo’ movie.
Buy your tickets now.

See above response to previous question.

Welp, since his Bat-jet got destroyed while you were sleeping in the movie theater…. and since he cannot fly…. Batman was on the side playing the sniper role… waiting for the best opportunity to fire his VERY LAST Kryptonite-filled shotgun shell at Doomsday.

At least that’s what I saw.

But I gotta ask… if you had a gun with just one single bullet left… where exactly would YOU be standing during a fight with Doomsday, if you had zero superhuman powers? Just curious.

You would knuckle up, and try to ’shoot a fair one’ with Doomsday, right? (As long as it was written in the script)

This was not a response to my question about why Batman didn't get involved in Man of Steel.

Yes, he thought he could control Doomsday because he used his own blood & DNA to create him.
Lex wanted power. What every movie villain usually wants.

But they didn’t tell you that onscreen, so I could see how it goes over your head.

Tell me when did Lex ever say.... I can control this guy or even act like he could control him. Again.. You can't. It never happened. Not even a scene with Lex saying... Kill Superman, I am your Master. Nope none of that.

But by the nodding of the head, I take it that you are COOL with all of this. Well OK..

I can't argue with willful ignorance.

Because he’s a villain. And that’s what villains do…. Villain shit.
Like kill their own henchmen from time to time.

But they didn’t explain that to you onscreen, so I could see how it goes over your head.

Ok What???? He is a villain and that's what villains do.. Really...
Ok since he is a villain. What did he gain by killing her? Who else does he have to assist him running shit? She was his right hand man everywhere else in the movie and in this one moment when he knew that she didn't have to go inside... He just decided that She needs to die. Again... You are ok with this???

Because he’s a villain. And that’s what villains do. Villain shit.
Like track down Heroes.

Guess he just didn’t get around to creating the Superman & Batman folders yet….:dunno:

But they didn’t explain that to you onscreen, so I could see how it baffles the shit outta you.

Again.... You are completely ok with them not mentioning this at all. Really????
So you cool with going to a movie and saying.. Man this movie doesn't have to explain shit to me. All I need is shit blowing up and action. Fuck a Plot. I ain't questioning shit... I'll enjoy whatever you show me.

Cut the bullshit. :hmm:

If you had to take a wild guess… what do YOU think they are?

I know a 6-year old kid who can answer that question.. .and he’s NEVER even seen this movie.

Do you think the Government views them as a threat after watching MoS?

So in DC Comics Metahumans can be Mutants or people with extraordinary powers. In DC TV.. Flash the series mentions Metahumans as people that have a dormant gene in them from the particle accelerator (like Mutants), but there is no mention that The Green Arrow, Black Cat, Captain Cold, and the others are considered Meta humans. So what does this mean for DC Films.. So does that mean Wonder Woman is a mutant? Is Batman a metahuman? Is Superman a Metahuman? I mean he is an alien. Does that matter? I don't know... This movie doesn't mention shit about this.
You know what else wasn't mentioned in the movie... that Jimmy Olsen worked for the CIA and was killed in the very beginning. So if they could change up Jimmy Olsen.. What is stopping them from changing up other people. Aquaman is a mutant. Deal with it.. Pay me money to find out why.

Like I said earlier, they gonna answer all these dumbass Wonder Woman questions for you in her ‘solo’ movie.
Buy your tickets now.

Willful ignorance... Good luck with that.

Newsflash: Bruce Wayne is a billionaire who owns property all over town and lives whereever the fuck he chooses.

Btw, lots of building were destroyed & burned in MoS and BvS….

Do you need a ‘backstory’ on EVERY building that got demolished? :dunno:

He don’t live there no more. He’s a Billionaire. Why does it matter?

So his child hood home is destroyed and you are cool with that dangling plot hole. Look Alfred, I'm at my old home brooding about what to do with Superman. Why are you here, Master Wayne. I don't know Alfred, the movie doesn't give a shit. Symbolism.....

This is a silly ass question. People fall in love. Shit happens.

But if your dumbass needs an answer…. During the 18-MONTH break that passed by (offscreen)… as we clearly saw…. Clark is fucking the shit outta Lois in the bathtub.

That’s why they fell in love.

Next question.

you know what... I'll just accept this response and move to the next question. Can't argue against... the intelligence of Shit happens.

People have dreams when they sleep.

Especially guys who dress up like a Bat and terrorize criminals in their own hideouts.
Plus, Batman gets shots at all the damn time… so naturally he even dreams about guns & being shot at in his sleep.

Batman is so focused at his job… he even DREAMS of shooting criminals… who shoot at HIM all the time. Like a war vet.

Bruh, you need this to be explained to you onscreen?

Seriously... You didn't even try to answer this one.

Its called a nightmare, dumbass. See #17 above.

See below Response to 20

It was a nightmare.

Bruce Wayne fell asleep at his desk while investigating Lex Luthor’s activities.

Oh yeah, you wasn’t paying attention during the movie. I forgot.

See my below response to 20.....

That was the Flash. Using the Speed Force to travel through time.

Don’t worry Spanky, you’ll learn all about it in the next Justice League Movie.
Buy your tickets now.

So Bruce Wayne is going to have a random NIGHTMARE that includes a guy named Flash whom he has never seen before wearing a mechanical suit. Not a premonition... Not an event. This is a nightmare. So Bruce has psychic powers now. So he is a metahuman?

The very first thing he DID was try to tell him about Lex.
But Batman attacked him too quickly.. every time he opened his mouth.

Batman was there to fight. Not talk.

Eventually Superman said to himself “Fuck it. Let’s do this.”

But you were sleeping during this part.…. and they didn’t post the subtitles onscreen… so it baffled the shit outta you. I understand.

I love the fact that you are so focused on coming up with Troll responses to save your beloved movie that you aren't even really paying attention to the shit you are writing.

Your mom is kidnapped by this evil dude. You know you are being played. You know that you can easily hold him at bay and tell this other hero the entire plan... but nope I'm pissed .... Fuck it let's do this. Pay me money to find out why!!

Lex found out quite alot of information that was stored on Zod’s ship.
Zod was using his spaceship’s computer to track down Superman in MoS.

Zod tracked Superman’s spacecraft to the Kent Farm.

That info was most likely stored in the ship computer.
Zod didn’t just write it on a ‘post-it note’ and stick it on a computer terminal when he has a ship that ‘voice activated’.

Meanwhile, Lex shaved off Zod’s fingerprints and uses his Master Admin Login ID….. to create a ‘New Sub-Acccount’ (with Admin Privileges) for himself.

But you weren’t paying attention. :smh:…. and they didn’t post the subtitles onscreen. I get it.

Did you write Master Admin Login ID with the belief that this is a great response?

To you first point... That could be true. I'm about to watch Man of Steel again, because I'm curious about that. It might be in the computer. If that is true... then I take back my earlier response.

You don’t even need to reference a movie to answer half this shit you just posted. :smh:

Try this: Turn on your laptop. Let the battery drain down to about 10% percent.

If you can still open any “MS Word Document” with just 10% battery life…. there’s your answer.

It doesn’t take much power to ‘access information’ on a computer. :smh:
But it takes power to ‘fly across the universe’.

This is an spaceship filled with ALIEN technology that can cross galaxies… so who knows… a lousy 37% of its power could be equivalent to several nuclear power plants on planet Earth. :dunno:

But you need to be TOLD this in the script. And you need to SEE it onscreen. I get it.

I don't know... Maybe the space ship had a low power mode. Or they could have just left out having the ship say 37% percent power if they weren't going to follow up on it.

Why did the rest of the city lose power? Was it connected? Nope.... No need for an explanation here folks.

The human death toll in the city and elsewhere, notably an African village of terrorists, affects the public mood (of anger and helplessness) including Gotham’s cynical vigilante billionaire Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aka Batman who believes that Superman is responsible for ALL the collateral damage.

In so many words… Superman told Batman “Don’t turn on your signal… or I’ma come see you” :hmm:
So that’s EXACTLY what Batman does when he READY to fight.

Batman got bullied. So eventually he called Superman out when he felt strong enough to shoot a ‘fair one’.

How hard is that to understand? :dunno:

But lemme get this right…. You asking what is the likelihood that 2 separate, but related events (that move the story forward) would happen at the SAME TIME.. in a movie where niggas can fly, shoot laser beams out their eyes… and bullets bounce off their bare chest, huh?

Jeez, you are really dumb as hell. :smh:

You know this isn't a response. That entire set up was a contrived plot device that required a suspension of disbelief for it to work in the end. A lot of action movies have places where you have to suspend your disbelief to understand how they got to point B from point A, but Superhero/ fantasy movies have to walk a thin line. You already have to suspend your disbelief to except the reality of this world.... You can't do the same thing throughout the movie. Then it slowly becomes unbelievable and you just want it to end. That's not good film making man.

That scene was there to help your dumbass understand ‘the passage of time’ without needing text at the bottom of the screen to literally tell you shit like: ‘Six months later’.

Time is passing.

- Superman is doing Superman shit.
- Batman is doing Batman shit.
- Lex is doing Lex shit.

It’s called a segue.

Meanwhile, the debate continues over who is truly responsible for all the ‘collateral damage’ Superman has caused.

“What SHOULD Superman be doing?” - quote from Holly Hunter

Pulling tankers out of the arctic that might be spilling gas and fucking up the environment? :dunno:

Or going over to Batman’s crib and apologizing for knocking his building down while saving his ass.. and the entire planet?

So that's what Superman does when he is board...... Drag ships in the Artic. Is this some kind of Crossfit training for the dude. So he can't just you know... Work his day job at the planet???

It was Robin’s old suit. And Lex scribbled the message on it.

Just like he scribbled the other messages on all the paystubs of the checks that were sent to the guy in the wheelchair.

Maybe you were sleeping during the movie when Lex admitted that stuff.

Tell me one time in the Movie... that it Mentions Robin... You can't and Why in all hell would Lex scribble some shit on it. Wouldn't that be the Joker? But since.... Joker wasn't mentioned in this movie. Let's just say it was Lex?

Lois witnessed Batman bussin' Superman’s ass, firsthand.

And that’s the ONLY person who CLEARLY had him beaten. Right at Death’s Door.
Not even Zod was at the point where he was about to kill him in MoS. :smh:

She figured if that spear Batman had could kill Superman… it would probably also work on this NEW monster that was created on a Kryptonian spaceship.

Maybe it was a lucky guess. It’s just a movie, dawg.

But I forgot, you need this shit spelled out for you. Every minor detail.

She didn't know it was a Kryptonian monster when she went for the spear. All she knew was that the Spear hurt Superman. Logically it would have made more sense to leave it where it was.

Either way.... this was fun. I must say.. that you Fandom over this movie runs deep. I spent way longer on this then I anticipated.

That's why I was telling him it was the Joker.

If they would have put a flashback of him beating Robin with the crowbar, and Batman leaving the game, then it could set up the future universe better.

exactly... there movie is full of instances where if one scene was added or one line was put it.. The flow would have been much better. The editing is just all over the place here. I'm really curious to see this extended cut now.

Its the Joker

Confirmed by DC writer Geoff Johns

http://www.ew.com/article/2016/03/26/dc-movies-release-dates-calendar

Since the Batman we meet in Batman v Superman has been fighting the good fight on the streets of Gotham for decades, there’s a strong possibility this film could be a flashback to some of those early battles. For instance, BvS features a Robin uniform covered with Joker graffiti, which implies the Boy Wonder has been killed by the Clown Prince of Crime in a previous story. Geoff Johns, chief creative officer for DC Entertainment, who has consulted on the full slate of movies, says the Robin suit is another example of groundwork BvS is laying for future stories. “We’ll be exploring that,” says Johns. “No one says specifically the name of which Robin that is.”

The fact that it took someone having to go outside the movie to confirm this... Is a problem!!!

I didn't understand the issue with Diana's pictures. She wanted them back from lex, but then Bruce gets a hold of them and she doesn't seem to care.

At what point did Bruce reveal to Diana that he was also batman? During the fight, he had his mask on. Then at the funeral, she knows who he is. He doesn't know what her intentions are or where she came from. Yeah she helped with Doomsday, but since when has batman ever been that trusting. He is suspicious of everyone.

Man at that point... I was just fuck it. They talked off screen. Cause I started thinking... Does Lois know that Bruce Wayne is Batman since he was at the Funeral? Does Clark's mom know? Then again... i just said fuck it, it's almost over.

Just saw it on Kodi. When did lex become a bootleg carrot top pimply faggot? They tried to do too much but overall a C+ I'll dl bluray but that's that. wonder woman is fine, ol ho:hmm:

Probably the same way most people recognize the voice of someone they love and know well, even in a crowded stadium. Now amplify that to the level of Superman's hearing.

It's called "suspension of disbelief."

No, but she is one of the strongest in the DCEU. From the DC Wiki database: Granted by Demeter (Goddess of the Earth). Diana is literally as strong as the Earth because of her link to the planet granted to her by Demeter. She is said to be "stronger than Hercules". Wonder Woman is as strong as Superman himself and able to physically outmatch other beings such as Supergirl.

Again from the DC Wiki: Bracelets of Submission: Modeled after the shackles the Amazons were once enslaved with. The gauntlets were formed from the remains of Zeus's legendary Aegis shield, and were re-forged for her use by Hephaestus. Diana's superhuman reflexes enable her to use the gauntlets to easily deflect projectiles (such as bullets) and powerful energy blasts from beings such as Ares and Darkseid. She is even fast enough to protect herself from multi-vector attacks. At close-range the gauntlets block blades, weapons and punches. They are even able to deflect Darkseid's energy attacks.[80] When crossed, the gauntlets generate a remnant of the Aegis itself, forming an impenetrable barrier just in front of them which allows Diana to protect herself and those behind her from area attacks.

Lasso of Truth: The Lasso of Truth is her signature weapon. Most who are captured in it are forced to answer any questions she asks and are unable to lie. It cannot be broken, snapped or cut. She can also control it to a certain degree using telepathy. It can also be used to erase memories, heal the mentally ill (in some cases),[citation needed] and implant commands that must then be obeyed.

And you aren't supposed to know these answers UNLESS you are familiar with the comics. This was her INTRODUCTION, not her ORIGIN. You expect all of the above to be answered in THIS movie, even though WW wi be starring in her own movie in 2017. What sense does what you want make???

I guess I probably mentioned..... I'm a long time DC fan. I've got DC shit all in my office. My questions are asked from the viewpoint of if I was a casual moviegoer and didn't know shit about DC. This was all the shit that was left dangling out there as plot holes.

Credits rolling now. Not impressed at all and a bad beginning to the "franchise". When Bruce had a dream then woke up ti another dream/ vision I was

So Bruce Wayne is going to have a random NIGHTMARE that includes a guy named Flash whom he has never seen before wearing a mechanical suit. Not a premonition... Not an event. This is a nightmare. So Bruce has psychic powers now. So he is a metahuman?

Hey dumbass, Bruce Wayne had a nightmare.
But the 'flash of light' woke him up.
(You even see him jump out of his chair, like )

What part of 'waking up' means... 'you are still dreaming', huh?

Flash appearing out of the Speed Force was NOT part of his nightmare. :smh:
That's what WOKE HIM UP.

Bruce does not have a 'premonition' or 'psychic powers', jackass.
You're so DENSE... you cannot even tell the difference when his 'dream sequence' starts and stops. :smh:

NO WONDER you need everything spelled out for you.

I'll get to rest of your stupidity later. :hmm:

I didn't even realized,it was a set up for Darkseid til I came home

Man that's not a good thing.. .They needed an after credit scene that related back to Bruce's Dream/Nightmare/ vision... That showed you OH SHIT.. this wasn't a Dream. Shit is about to get real. We need a team.
His whole... We need to track down the other's because I have a feeling something big is coming.. would have meant more and created a sense of urgency. Do we even know when Darkseid is coming or Why?? Nope... No clue.

I'm hoping that it is related to the Mother Box that Victor's Stone's father used. But they are going to have to explain that too.

I have a sad feeling that Justice League Pt 1 is going to be like 3 hours. They have a lot of ground to cover... just to get to the point where they can have a Clifhanger in Pt 1.

Dude... I was quoting you exactly. You are the one that called it a nightmare in direct response to my question. Just chill out and read before you type. I would accept the Flash being real part if they didn't immediately show Bruce waking up again after Flash disappeared. And when he woke up the second time... they had him wake up in way that could have also allowed the papers near him to be moving off the desk. I remember that vividly. The director intentionally did that to make the audience question if it was real or a dream... but it came across as stupid and unnecessary since everyone knows that there are other movies.. Hence my DC doesn't know what they are doing comment.

I mean you are taking this way to person. This isn't that serious. I just like debating. This is basically what I do for a living.

To make it easier... I'm just going to point out the questions that I had from this movie. If you can answer then fine.

1. Why is Batman so damn stupid? Batman the greatest detective in the world allowed himself to be fooled by a dude that likes to stick Cherry jolly ranchers in other guys mouths, lick his fingers, and talk random shit about gods and monsters..

Well, Lex is a genius & a criminal mastermind, for one. You're taking his portrayal as a scatter-brained fool in the movie & not realizing that he's a lot more dangerous & crazy than he looks. The scene when he loses his shit during the speech should have shown you that. As for Bats, he basically used his detective skills to steal Lex's info, break into said info & find/steal the kryptonite. What more do you want? It's not a Batman movie.

2. Why does everybody blame Superman for the massacre in Africa? Seriously... Everybody was killed with Bullets before he arrived. He pushed one dude through a wall and then they cut away to another scene. Everyone knows Superman isn't using guns and everybody knew that the Terrorist guy used a private security force. Then in the one scene where I finally hoped that he was going to explain WTF happened there. Lex blows up everybody. Come on now... Why were they using special bullets? Why was this classified? Lex was a private citizen. They were a private security force.

They blame him for everyone dying. He's Superman, he's supposed to be able to save EVERYONE. But, he can't. Everyone sees him as a god, when he's just a man with god-like powers. Luthor's speech to him on the helipad was a lot more relevant than most people realize. As for the rest, no one knew that they were anything but terrorists or they were using special bullets until Lois began investigating it. The bullets were special so that they couldn't be traced to any government entities. It was classified for the same reason, it was the government working with criminals. Kinda like how Blackwater was during the war...

3. Why did it take 18 months for Batman to meet Superman? The movie didn't say anything about Bruce retiring after the Battle with Zod. He was still doing his Batman thing, yet Superman never said to himself. Hey I am new to this hero thing. I hear there is a guy in Gotham that's a hero. Let me talk to him. Or Let's go with the Movie... It took him 18 months to notice that I probably need to talk to this Batman guy about what he is doing.

Bats just returned to active duty after the battle with Zod. Alfred tells you in the first scene. Superman doesn't see himself as a hero. He's just there to help those that need help. And he was quite conflicted about that. Not to mention that no one considered Bats a hero in any way. He was a vigilante. Supes dealt with the big stuff, Bats dealt with the local.

4. How is Superman able to find Lois Lane no matter where she is... right before she is about to die ALL THE TIME. Yet he couldn't hear his mom getting kidnapped.

He's in love with that woman, he probably is constantly listening for her voice. His moms is in the Midwest. This isn't Pre-Crisis Superman, he can't hear that far.

5. How did Superman know that Bruce Wayne is Batman, yet Bruce didn't know Clark was Superman.... Come on.

Really? Supes isn't a idiot. He probably figured it out at the event from his heartbeat. Notice he asked him about how he felt about the Bat-vigilante. Batman's heart probably went into overdrive when he did that. Telltale sign.

6. Where in the World did Wonder Woman come from? Why was she in Metropolis? How did she know that Lex had a picture of her? Where did Lex get it from? Why is it significant?

Diana Prince seems to be a socialite & was invited to the event. She probably used her skills to find out information. Especially since she is one of those metahumans. More than likely, Lex had a squad go and find out about her. Probably got it from an old G.I. she served the war with. It's significant because it would reveal that she was the metahuman from 100 years ago, instead of her being a businesswoman or socialite or whatever she set herself up as in the current world. We'll probably learn more during her movie.

7. Why is she living in Metropolis or Gotham (couldn't remember if they mentioned the specific town) in a Apartment? How long was she living there? Why did she decide to leave before the battle with Doomsday? Was it because Bruce gave her a digital copy of her photo? Wouldn't she know that Lex would still have copies on his main computer, since all Bruce did was copy his files? He didn't destroy them. Where was she going? Why did she abandon humanity? Is she immortal? Is she a meta-human? Why did she take the hard drive that she knew Bruce was looking for, get stumped on the encryption, and then just give it back to Bruce, when she knew that there was a chance that it had information on her? Did she know that he was batman when she did this? How would she know?

Who cares? How is it vital to the story? She left because she got revealed. All this other stuff will probably be in the WW movie. BTW, I don't know if anyone was paying attention, but that picture might have been Hippolyta, not Diana. Look at how old she looks. If a guy is stealing some vital information & you can't break the encryption, why wouldn't you give it back to him to try? He stole it for a reason.

8. Where did she hide her Sword, shield, lasso, and outfit when she boarded Turkish Airlines? Did she go back home to put it on? If she revealed herself to fight Doomsday, why didn't she reveal herself when Superman was outnumbered and the world was about to end? Is she as strong as superman? Why is she able to block Doomsday's lazer eyes? What is the deal with the Lasso anyway? Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about what you know from the comics. *Answer... You can't*

She didn't hide them at all. But they don't explain where they came from. I'm quite sure she didn't go home to put it on though. She didn't reveal herself because she was in hiding. She probably wasn't anywhere near Metropolis either. She was able to cut off the enhanced Kryptonian hide of Doomsday, so yeah, I would say she's up there with Supes. It wasn't laser eyes, it was some other energy. Her bracelets & shield are able to. Why do you need to know why? It's a movie. The lasso is a lasso. It restrains. She restrains Doomsday.

9. To follow that up, where in the hell was Batman during the Battle with Zod? In what universe would you have Batman sitting on the sidelines for this? You un-retire when the world is at stake? (I don't want to hear that "It was Superman's story and not his bullshit" .. you can't play that card when you have a team up in the next movie where he does join in to help Superman) Zod was a much bigger threat at the time then Doomsday was even in this movie.

Semi-retired & probably didn't care. It's the collateral damage that got him riled up.

10. What in the Hell was Lex's end game here? Did he think he was going to control Doomsday? If he set in motion the Superman v. Batman battle before he had access to the ship... did he just hope that Batman was going to kill Superman and then he just created Doomsday as a fall back? Then what???? Was Superman in his way of accomplishing something? I don't know, because the movie never said it.

His endgame is to prove that Superman was a false "god" & just as flawed as us humans. As a result, we should buy the latest weaponry from LexCorp to protect ourselves from him...just in case. Because it's only a matter of time before he turns on us. He did think he would be able to, because he thought he was the smartest in the room. That's exactly what he did.

11. Why did Lex blow up Mercy?

To make him look innocent. Who would kill their right hand man (woman)?

12. Why does Lex have a hard drive full of meta humans? What is the Meta human thesis? Why is he so obsessed with them? Why did he give them individual symbols? Why were there only 4 colored folders? Are they the only meta humans on the Planet? Why didn't Clark Kent/Superman have a folder? Why didn't he have a folder on Batman/Bruce Wayne... since it appeared that he didn't know whether Batman was a metahuman or not... based on this movie.

The movie doesn't really explain this but this is my theory. I think that Darkseid is manipulating Lex Luthor. What makes me think that? The painting & what he said about it (demons fall from the skies, not come from the ground) & the end scene, (when he goes, "Ping, ping, ping" like a Mother Box would do...people that do that are usually under the influence of the Mother Box). But Luthor did state that there would be a upswell of metahuman activity from Superman's arrival on...so more than likely, he used his money & resources to investigate these sightings & such. They have symbols & name because Lex is an OCD asshole that would do just that....did you watch the movie? The 4 folders are clear views of the metahumans & their powers being used/seen. Probably not, just the ones he can validate. Superman is worldwide news, why keep a folder on him when you can go to YouTube & see his gifts? Bats was semi-retired & also, he wasn't out in the open. The cop was excited that he finally saw Bats. They know he's real but he's not in the habit of being seen. So, no folder for him.

13. What are meta humans in this world... They weren't mentioned in Man of Steel? Does the government view them as a threat? Is Wonder Woman a metahuman? (As a fan I know, but as a movie goer... did the movie tell me)

Probably will be explained in later movies.

14. Why was Wayne Manor empty and possibly burned? What happened there?

Probably find out in the Batman movie.

15. Why do Clark Kent and Lois Lane love each other? (stole this question from vox.com, but it is a good point)... Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about their love story from the comics or from other Superman films. *Answer: You can't... they never talk about it.*

Because she grounds him like Pa Kent used to. Ma Kent isn't really around & Lois is his anchor to humanity.

16. Why would Batman immediately become Superman's ally after hearing their mom's have the same first name? Was it because he saw that if Superman could have a mom then he is a man and not a god or was it because he saw that he had an opportunity to save Martha (i.e. his mom) this time when he failed to do it as a kid? I think the movie did make a reference to this with a line by Batman before he left to go rescue his mom.

He didn't become his ally, he went to save his moms. The first name made him realize that he was just a person. He proved that Supes was a man, not a god when he had him beat. But the fact that he has a mother, one with the same first name as his? And Lois pleading with him...a love. Bats probably saw him as from Earth for the first time, instead of an alien hovering over us like a fake god. Once he saw Superman take Doomsday to outer space, he became his ally.

17. Why was Batman willing to use a gun and kill people, yet he always had visions of his Parents getting killed by a Gun? Why did he have all these dreams? Did he have them all the time? Why was he having them? Was he just crazy?

What, during the visions? Because it was an alternate hellish reality & that was his only choice. He probably has a form of PTSD. Bats is a special kind of crazy though.

18. What the fuck was going on in the Desert dream sequence? What was any of that about? Again... Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about what you know from the comics or from other Superman films. *Answer: You can't....*

He saw an alternate future. Simple. Why & what's it's all about probably will be answered in a future film.

19. Was it a dream sequence, an actual event, or a premonition?.... Again... Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about what you know from the comics or from other Superman films. *Again Answer: You can't....*

It seems to be a dream until Flash woke him up...we'll leave it at that for now.

20. Who was that in the dream/event/premonition talking to Batman? Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about what you know from the comics.

The Flash. Lightning bolt on the chest.

21. If Superman knew that he was walking into a trap with Batman, why didn't he just tell Batman that Lex Luther has his mom? He had several times to tell him. Even after he has hit with Kryptonite.

He tried to. But he made the mistake of belittling Bats, so Bats wasn't trying to hear anything. Bats was about that action.

22. At what point did Lex find out that Clark Kent was Superman? Was it before he got on the ship or after? I don't remember the ship from Man of Steel having that type of information about Clark's family on it. Maybe it did. Let's say that it did. How would zod's fingerprints allow Lex to gain so much control over the ship that he is able to create his own username and password?

When the ship told him. The ship knew everything. It scanned Supes in MOS & had his entire life & background. Zod was the commander of the ship, he had full access to everything.

23. What is Batman's plan for getting Superman to fight him? (Again, stolen from vox.com, but another extremely good point) Seriously... He turns on the Batsignal and waits in a warehouse. Yes I know Clark said don't turn on the signal again or there will be trouble. But what is the fucking likelihood that Batman would set up this fight... THE EXACT same time that Lex kidnapped Superman's mom and gave him 30 minutes to kill the Bat. It's not like the movie showed that Lex was spying on Bruce and knew what he was planning and when it would happened. Lex just set in motion Bruce getting Kryptonite. Which by the way was a Stupid plan, because let's say... Batman did kill Superman. Well now Batman knows you were behind everything, because you basically told him by leaving all these obvious clues.

Martha was in Kansas. It didn't happen at the same time. You had to get Martha back to Metropolis.

24. Why did Martha appear to be badly beaten with the words "Witch" written on her forehead in the photos shown to Clark, yet perfectly fine with minor damage (if you could call it that), but nothing was written on her head when Batman saved her? Did Lex use Photoshop? If so Why?

To stir up Supes. He probably did. It was all to force Supes to fight Bats.

25. What was that in the Batcave? Was that a monument to Robin? Is there a Robin in this universe? Why was something written on it? Where did it come from? Who wrote that? Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about what you know from the comics. *Answer: you can't*

OK, these questions are getting silly. It's a clue, a foreshadowing for the next movie...

26. How was the Ship able to give the Lex the secrets of the universe and create Doomsday if it only had 37% power. Wouldn't something like that take up way more then 30%? Did Lex connect the ship to the city's power? Is that why all the lights went out right before Doomsday was born? Again... no explanation.

It's a ship, not a RC racer. 37% of a ship's power is probably 2 weeks of power, especially when it was only the educator being used. Yes, to create Doomsday. It takes power to rewrite DNA...

27. Why was there a scene with Superman just randomly dragging a capsized ship in the Antarctic or North Pole by it's anchor chain? It was clearly empty. There was no one to save. Yet there he was... walking on frozen water, dragging a fucking ship behind him. If you can answer that question... then you truly are a God among us.

To show the deeds that he does. Helping the world, however he can...

28. Why did Louis know to go back for the spear? (Great point by @chislee) She didn't know what Doomsday weaknesses were. Hell she didn't even what the fuck Doomsday was. She did know at that time that the spear could kill the man she loved. So why go back and bring to the battlefield the one thing that could definitely kill Superman?

Because, being an irrational human, she probably thought if it almost killed Superman, it might kill this thing that can fight Superman toe to toe.

I could continue.
I'm not picking it apart to just pick it about... these are legitimate plot holes.

I already know some one is going to reply to this with the.... "OMG you are retarded" BS and continue to try to Defend this movie by breaking down my points. But the problem is that... You can't answer any of these questions from this movie or Man of Steel without using shit from outside the movie. And that ladies and gentlemen is what keeps this from being a good movie. I will give it some credit and say that it is Ok. Maybe I am being to harsh on it, but I expect better from DC. I don't care if they want a dark tone. I love the dark tone. I love the gritty nature. Hell I can be fine with Batman killing people. You just have to explain the shit. You can't use the Tyler Perry technique and just put some random scenes together and rely on the audience to come to their own conclusion. I'm hard on this movie... Just like I was hard on Transformers 2. I'm willing to take off my fanboy blinders and be critical of bullshit, because I know they can and should be better then this.

I wonder if you had all these questions when Age of Ultron came out...cause it has WAAAAAY more plot holes than BVS.

They have a lot of ground to cover... just to get to the point where they can have a Clifhanger in Pt 1.

as long as they include this scene transiition im ok with it

*Morgan Freeman voice*"Meanwhile,on Apokolips.." :roflmao2:

LOL!!!

Still going to see it, but it sounds to me like the combined the death of Superman and DKR into one movie, and anybody who's not 12 years old or a DC Stan will hate it. Fuck it, DC minus whale pull out Prime, the Black Lanterns, the Anti Monitor, the LSH, Lobo and the New Gods. Then they can just release press clippings after the movie for all the shit you didn't get.

1. Batman killing. I don't agree. How the fuck is he any different from Joe Chill or the Joker? Shit who the fuck is he to judge Superman.

2. This nigga had a nightmare, then woke up to a vision from the Flash/Impulse, THEN WOKE UP FROM THAT VISION.

3. Dude walking out said "where the hell the Aquaman come from" lol

4.No mention of Jor El? Superman didn't go seek counsel from him and didn't even go to the fortress of solitude?

5.Batman was a fucking idiot. You mean he couldn't figure out Lex Luthor was playing his ass like a sap?

The post credit scene will be included in the blu ray. It turns out the entire movie was a nightmare Batman was having.

As a casual moviegoer and not a comic head....I thought the movie was good. The built up was too slow. Should've been more of Wonder Woman.

I don't get the heavy criticism of the film. Yeah there are some things that i'd change. Like Lois being at the right place at the right time is kind of annoying.

And there are some parts that are a bit confusing. Like the day dreaming sequences and what not. Far too many of those.

i went and saw it on sat night, to me, it was ok..it was some things in the movie that was confusing and also to me they kinda cramp alot shit into this movie!!!..but overall, it was ok!!

To begin with, this movie was almost completely fan service. This is the comic movie that comic fans have been clamoring for; namely a movie that is directed more towards them than the general public. Most of the "plot holes" alluded to in earlier posts were Easter Egg incidents for comic fans. They were AHA moments.

The acting in this movie was very strong across the board. My only gripe is Eisenberg. He played an excellent villain, I'm just not sure he played a good Lex Luthor. Also the apropos comparison to this movie is not any marvel movie or even most other Dc movies. It's Watchmen. Watchmen was an intense interpretation of a complex graphic novel. Graphic novels are at their most basic, Adult comic books, so there is an attempt to ground them in reality that you don't necessarily see in the average comic book, or comic book movie. This attempt means that there will be major things that either work or do not work in a graphic novel to movie translation. Watchmen was very polarizing for this reason, and those of us that like it, mostly appreciate the fact that it was an accurate representation of the graphic novel.

BVS is very ambitious in that it adopts and strings together not one, but three graphic novels. These are the Dark Night Returns, Death of Superman, and Injustice: Gods among Us. Aside from the necessary changes to make these stories work in the same movie (for example Lex Luthor being the one that initiated the creation of Doomsday as opposed to an Alien Scientist named Bertron), this movie was resoundingly faithful to the source materials.

Why does Lois know Superman's identity? Because by the time he fights Doomsday, they are already in a full fledged relationship that is on the verge of becoming a marriage. It adds gravitas to his death, and allows us another conduit of personal grief, aside from Martha Kent. Where was Batman (not Bruce Wayne) during Zod's invasion? Retired for up to ten years and completely disenchanted with the world around him. Why? Because of the Death of Jason Todd (the second Robin) at the hands of the Joker (reason for the graffiti laden suit in the the batcave). Why does Batman come out of retirement? Because of meta-human activity (in the novel "mutants", in the movie Superman) that he feels is threatening society's existence.

Why does Superman threaten Batman and why does Batman kill? These are related questions. TDKR Batman is a very different Batman. Grizzled, immeasurably scarred emotionally, and completely unforgiving of the criminal element of society. He kills now ... a lot. He's so brutal that the government dispatches Superman to put him down, which is the reason they fight in the novel. In the movie, it was a product of Lex's manipulation, but Superman initially threatens Batman for the same reason as in the comics. Namely, he doesn't approve of his methods.

Why so many dream sequences for Batman? Because he is a crazy, tortured soul. He's the good kind of crazy, if there is one, but he's crazy nonetheless. He has no peace and lives a life of almost total physical, emotional, and mental anguish.

What's with the dream sequence where Batman was fighting Superman' s elite soldiers and the Flash shows up from the future? It's a glimpse of the future in either this reality or an alternate timeline where Superman has become an evil all powerful dictator due to either the death of Lois, the manipulation of Darkseid, or a combination of both. (Injustice: Gods Among Us storyline) Key revelations of this fact in these scenes? The omega symbol in the sand (Darkseid's signal) and the parademon sentries (Darkseid's flying bug like soldiers) in the dream sequence.

I could go on and on, but the point is that I enjoyed this movie and it made perfect sense to me. By the same token, I can clearly see how a casual fan might be turned off by what they view as "plot holes". The characterization and the action is supposed to be what brings casual fans to this movie, and I get that it might fall short in this regard. This is why as a movie I give it a solid 7, but as an adaptation it's easily a 9.

Also in terms of Marvel there is one possible comparison. Both DC and Marvel have chosen to adapt some of their more serious story arcs, this year. Some of these arcs have harrowing consequences and events. While I fully expect Civil War to be the superior movie (Winter Soldier is my favorite comic book movie), DC has thrown down the proverbial gauntlet in terms of sticking to the story during difficult moments (i.e. Superman's death). I was so sure when I saw Doomsday in the trailer, that they would omit Superman's death from this arc, but I was pleasantly surprised that they did not. Let's see if Marvel has the cojones to follow suit.

2. This nigga had a nightmare, then woke up to a vision from the Flash/Impulse, THEN WOKE UP FROM THAT VISION.

Why'd they do the scene all weird like that, making it a double wake up dream? After he woke up again after flash was gone the papers were still falling in the background so it wasnt a damn dream. Why not play it as actually seeing the flash in a portal the scene makes no sense otherwise.

Just breezed through that awful cam version and now I'm mad. Can't believe they used my favorite Superman book in this movie. That had sequel potential. :smh:

So cyborg just going to bypass being a Teen Titan and straight to thr JL and when did Lex Luther have a son that's the questions the grand kids hit me with after I took them to see it yesterday. Like I said in another post movie wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. Hope they take their time with the next round of movies. BvsS was just used as a way to bring on the other movies, they know they have a lot of work to do going against Marval/Disney. The Uncut Blu Ray version will be better cause it will be re-edited and have deleted scenes in it.

You know as I think about it. Wallace could have been Metallo. He hated Superman already and Doomsday could have been saved for a solo MOS movie.

Why'd they do the scene all weird like that, making it a double wake up dream? After he woke up again after flash was gone the papers were still falling in the background so it wasnt a damn dream. Why not play it as actually seeing the flash in a portal the scene makes no sense otherwise.

A few theories:

1. BvS was executive produced by Christopher Nolan so maybe Lex was using inception on Bruce Wayne. The first dream was the 3rd level, then Alfred's domestic activities "kicked" him into the 2nd level until the bat-computer woke him up ???

Or

2. Jimmy Olsen wasn't really killed he was Mr Mxyzptlk in disguise and he created all the events of BvS in Kha-El's mind. The R rated blu ray with extended scenes will showcase this

LOL!!!

Sadly I'm a huge huge DC fan and I Hate this movie. It feels rushed, the editing is bad, and they have no idea what they are doing with Superman. I hate to see this characters treated like this especially growing up seeing them treated with pure love on all the animated series and animated movies. They have all these freaking stories to go to and it just seems like bunches of wasted opportunities.

I can almost bet that they are going to somehow have Brainiac and Darkseid in the new justice league movie.

Bruce only wakes up 1x time only. (Just Once.)
The director doesn’t do anything to make the audience ‘question’ anything. :smh:

The Speed Force is capable of crossing not only time & space, but extra-dimensional travel as well.

This is not ‘general knowledge’. And it was not shown/explained onscreen.
It was a ‘nod’ strictly directed at hardcore DC comic nerds:

The Speed Force serves as the primary measure of velocity in the DC Universe.
It is usually referred to in terms of different barriers:

- The Sound Barrier
- Light barrier
- Time Barrier
- Dimensional Barrier
- and finally the Speed Force Barrier.

As Bruce was dreaming about the Desert, bat-men with wings & whatnot.... the Flash uses the Speed Force to enter Bruce’s dream-like state. (in WHATEVER sub-conscious ‘dimension’ his brain activity was operating in, while sleeping)

So yeah, he interrupts Bruce’s dream... WHILE HE IS STILL SLEEPING.

That WHOLE speech when the Flash is telling him: “Lois is the Key, You were right, yada, yada”… NONE of that portion of the scene is controlled by Bruce. At all. :smh: (And Bruce is NOT fully Awake Yet.)

That was ALL done by the Flash.
Those are HIS powers at work, showing the way he can manipulate the Speed Force.

It is not Bruce having a 'premonition'.
It is not Bruce having 'psychic powers'.
And it is not a DREAM. :smh:

When the Flash FINISHES that Speech... is when Bruce wakes up.
THAT WHOLE EVENT... IS WHAT WAKES HIM UP.

At best it would probably leave Bruce with a sensation of ‘Deja-Vu’… (even though its only the first time he was experiencing it.)

It’s more of an ‘easter egg’ for Flash fans to show WHERE they will take his storyline.

Bruce had ONE single dream... that got invaded by someone else. Get it?

Basically, DC is telling the audience: 'The Flash is soooo damn fast.... this nigga can run up on you... in YO' DREAMS":D:yes::rolleyes:

Here is the thing I get your point. As a fan of DC I figured out these questions because I know the story.....

But a movie has to sit on its own. You can't have a movie with all this random in it. Say I just walked into this movie without any previous knowledge of these characters, can you tell me where this film explains these plot holes? You can't... You have to rely on what you know going into it. And that is fail for me. This was supposed to be a semi-sequel to Man of Steel and this world is still a completely different world from other movies interpretation of these characters. A movie is a failure if you have to research outside shit to fill in the blanks.

A long time ago Sam Rami created this amazing movie called Darkman... It was his own creation. He built the world and included character motivations.
What if he just began the movie with Peyton Westlake dressed up as Darkman fucking killing people seeking revenge, but the movie never explains why is Darkman's face fucked up? .. Why is it covered in bandages? How does he know how to make this mask? Why is it able to be shaped into other faces? Why can't he feel pain? Who does he want to kill? There isn't an outside reference about this character. There isn't a comic book or press interviews to explain motivations. In that movie all of these unexplained scenarios would be unacceptable plot holes if left unexplained. Luckily... Sam answered all of these questions. Now don't get it twisted, Darkman isn't an Oscar worthy movie but it did its job and treated it's world with respect by using small touches to fill in gaps in logic.

Say batman v superman was about two brand new DC characters... For example the versions of Batman and Superman from Justice League Gods and Monsters and it contained all these Plot holes... That movie would have been declared a failure. That movies characters were completedly different and there wasn't any previous history with them.. So you had to go into the movie with the faith that it would open its world up to you. And when a movie does that.. It works.

As a fan of DC and especially Superman, I hate that it is obvious that they don't know what to do with him. All of the modern versions... Superman returns, man of steel, and this movie.... Treats him as a plot device and not a living breathing person and he deserves better then this. His death was a complete waste here and had zero impact because in this universe you had a good chunk of the world hating him either because he was an alien, caused massive destruction, or was a false god. So when he died I'm sure that most of those people were like good riddance.....

Well as fans we know he is coming back, but this universe doesn't. So then what. To the people that hated him on this world.. now it looks like this dude just faked his death, now they justification to hate him more.
Oh and lets just ignore the fact that Clark Kent is dead forever. Superman can come back, but Clark Kent is done. People saw him in a open actual casket.
So what's the point of a Man of Steel 2. The daily planet can't be used again. You can't show Clark using his brains as an investigator. Now you will just have this blunt object that has a weakness to kryptonite. You can't have him be full superman the entire movie. This shit works in the comics but it can't in a movie and that's where DC failed it's fans. So I predict that they are going to have to have another Reboot of the Superman franchise again. Either with another Earth's version of Clark Kent or by having a movie establishing Clark's new identity. You can't have the guy just rising from the grave and go back to work like nothing happened. Either way... that's just fucking stupid.

You can tell that there were two many cooks in the kitchen on this and no one sat back and said... You know what, we don't have to shoot all our wade on this. Let's tease some things and focus on character development.
