BGOL review .. BATMAN V SUPERMAN... (thoughts, summary, spoilers)

Probably not.

That's fair. And I think that's really my main issue with this movie. All the good easter eggs and references can only be found by knowing the Characters and reading the interviews and it didn't have to be like that. My hope is that all my issues are addressed in the 3hr version of this movie.

Im sure it will flow better with the extended version. But i think this movie will look even better once the subsequent films come out and shed light on alot of what we saw here. Im interested to see how Affleck pulls off the younger Batman.

I agree with you on this. I just hope that DC doesn't chicken out and pull a Sony on this universe if this movie doesn't bring in what they hope. I remember when Sony green lit a ton of movies after Amazing Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man 2 was supposed to set up their universe. That didn't end so well for them.

Yeah, I was excited about seeing the Sinister Six.

OMG

There is sooo much going on here...in this thread...I can't keep up with what I thought and if it was mentioned...

I can say though that I don't agree with the somewhat explanation of Gotham and Metropolis being "sister cities". That's stupid. If Metropolis is the better of both, as the man of my family there is no way I would take my wife and child to the theater. Not only is this a stupid concept but it makes Thomas Wayne and idiot.

Lois had multiple times to confront Clark about there being a plot against Superman. But she says nothing. Lois Lane is an idiot.

Speaking of Clark, where the fuck was he? Part of the reason Superman is Superman is because of Clark. All of that character building from MoS and it doesn't matter at all.

As for the JL intros...Clark was suppose to be a reporter. Wouldn't it make more sense if they were introduced as a result of...reporting?

Side note: how do you introduce "metahumans" with no damn explanation. Does that make Superman a metahuman? Why is Wonder Woman a metahuman? Confused.

Jimmy Olsen getting got in the beginning. I thought it was funny that he was talking to Lois like he knew her only to be a plant. But when the movie went off there were a lot of people who had real names in the credits who don't get mentioned in the movie. You watching thinking "That's guy on the street no# 3" but he has a real name is a big part of the DC universe. But you don't know cause he died twenty minutes in and we won't know who he was ever again.

Why is Cyborg a metahuman? Why is the Tessaract in the DCU?

What the hell was Batman's car made of? It went through cars, trucks, buildings, a ship, crashed cause Supes stuck his foot out, got its doors ripped off, and still managed to make it across the bay (ugh) and back to Gotham. The hell.

Fight scenes were cool.

Lois and the spear. I'm not going to rehash this; bitch stupid.

The opening credits were cool. We didn't really need it...but it was nice to watch. Until the bats made little Bruce fly. Then you lost me.

The acting wasn't bad either. Alexander was only bad cause of his lines. The dialogue killed him. If Eisenburg (that's his name?) instruction was to be a psychotic who can't finish his sentences, he achieved his job. I can appreciate not having the typical Lex - cold, calculating, stone bitch face - and wanting something different but everytime he talked...bleh. Someone needs to gif the scene at the party when he's talking and it pans to the old lady in the audience...her face is the audience reaction to the whole movie.

I liked MoS. With all of the shit surrounding BvS I wanted to have high hopes for this. I knew it was going to be bad...but I tried anyway. If it was a Batman movie, it was good. For what this movie was suppose to be, it failed. D++ only because I'm hurt it could have done better and a C- is too good.

Get it together DC.

if they do this then that means theyll most likely put DC's television show casts on the big screen

1. Why is Batman so damn stupid? Batman the greatest detective in the world allowed himself to be fooled by a dude that likes to stick Cherry jolly ranchers in other guys mouths, lick his fingers, and talk random shit about gods and monsters..

Batman investigated Lex’s activities and foiled his entire plan to ‘weaponize’ the Kryptonite.

- He figured out the name of the boat (The White Portugal).
- Stole Lex’s computer files right under his nose at his OWN party… in his OWN house and decrypted them.
- Tracked his cargo shipment. (But lost it because Superman interfered with his chase.)
- Then infiltrated Lex's warehouse and stole ALL the Kryptonite he had obtained.

So….. how exactly did Batman get fooled by Lex again? Do Tell. :hmm:

2. Why does everybody blame Superman for the massacre in Africa? Seriously... Everybody was killed with Bullets before he arrived. He pushed one dude through a wall and then they cut away to another scene. Everyone knows Superman isn't using guns and everybody knew that the Terrorist guy used a private security force. Then in the one scene where I finally hoped that he was going to explain WTF happened there. Lex blows up everybody.

Another asinine question by someone who fell asleep whenever explosions were not happening onscreen. :smh:

The entire movie they discuss the COLLATERAL DAMAGE that Superman’s heroic efforts cause. That’s a major ‘plot point’ that you never paid any attention to.

This central issue is EXACTLY what fuels Batman’s rage.
Bruce says (over and over again) that Superman is responsible for the ‘collateral damage’ that follows in his wake.

Now, hold that thought. (I’ll get back to it later.)

First, lemme point out the shit you missed that DIRECTLY answers your question.

They blame Superman for the Collateral Damage in Africa because after the massacre… Holly Hunter presided over a Congressional hearing and a woman from that same African Tribe DIRECTLY BLAMED Superman for everyone in her village getting killed. (But you probably were not paying attention as she was giving her testimony. :smh: This much is clear.)

So everyone died. And the only people who tell ‘their side of the story’ in front of any cameras….. blame Superman. And that’s what shapes ‘public opinion’.

Why were they using special bullets? Why was this classified? Lex was a private citizen. They were a private security force.

Wake up…. Lois was investigating the origin of the bullet she found. She meets with General Swanwick (Harry Lennix) and she learns that the U.S. Military (with the clandestine help of LexCorp) may be involved in VERY SHADY dealings with an international criminal named Anatoli Knyazev. (That’s WHY it’s classified information. They didn’t want the general public to know that the US Government may be ‘doing business’ with terrorists & criminals. But you missed that part. It’s obvious.)

3. Why did it take 18 months for Batman to meet Superman? The movie didn't say anything about Bruce retiring after the Battle with Zod. He was still doing his Batman thing, yet Superman never said to himself. Hey I am new to this hero thing. I hear there is a guy in Gotham that's a hero. Let me talk to him. Or Let's go with the Movie... It took him 18 months to notice that I probably need to talk to this Batman guy about what he is doing.

Probably the dumbest question you could have asked.
When 9/11 happened the US did not send troops overseas the very next weekend.

So in the aftermath of the Zod incident, I’m sure Bruce Wayne was dealing with all the death & destruction of SKYSCRAPERS and implications on his business & the city as a whole… while seething with anger over all the loss of life.

Or he could have been trying to figure out how to stop this menace who is ‘too strong’ for ‘modern weapons’ to even have a slight impact on.

Things do not happen overnight. Regardless of what you think.

Oh I forgot, you need to see him start to rebuild his buildings, or attend ALL the funerals of his employees onscreen, huh?

Or you need SEE Superman stop by his house with a ‘gift basket’ and a handwritten note, right?

Because the script falls apart if the audience doesn’t know WHY it took 18 whole months. I get it.
You need all this shit spelled out for you. :smh:

4. How is Superman able to find Lois Lane no matter where she is... right before she is about to die ALL THE TIME. Yet he couldn't hear his mom getting kidnapped.

Superman said himself in this movie: “I didn’t see it (the bomb) because I wasn’t looking.”

Superman is in love with Lois. HE PAYS ALOT OF ATTENTION to her. And ’looks after’ her.

With his super-hearing… He can probably FOCUS and PINPOINT her ass in a stadium-sized crowd (or during a fight) without much effort.

Lois is in Metropolis. In his vicinity. Right under his nose.
Meanwhile, His mom is in Kansas. Hundreds of miles away.

Now that you seen all the ‘clues’ onscreen for yourself… maybe you can take it from here and figure out WHY he couldn’t ‘hear’ his mom getting kidnapped… especially if he wasn’t ‘paying attention’ to her at the very moment.

5. How did Superman know that Bruce Wayne is Batman, yet Bruce didn't know Clark was Superman.... Come on.

Super-hearing at Lex’s house. And X-Ray vision when he tore the doors off the Batmobile.
Bruce Wayne doesn’t have it. :smh: Next question.

6. Where in the World did Wonder Woman come from? Themiscyra Why was she in Metropolis? How did she know that Lex had a picture of her? Where did Lex get it from? Why is it significant?

Wow ,your questions get dumber and dumber. Unbelievable. :smh:

Clearly Lex was tracking meta-humans for quite some time judging by all the footage seen on his computer. And Wonder Woman found out somehow.. well because she carries a magic lasso that makes people, henchmen, underlings, and criminals ‘tell the truth’. (How many people do you think she had tie-up to start a trail that leads to Lex?)

So she probably left her homeland of Themiscyra and came to Metropolis to find out WHY she was being tracked.

And how did he Lex get it? Ask yourself… How do BILLIONAIRES get things? :dunno:
Now, Wait for it. It might hit you any second now.

Oh I forgot. You need all this bullshit explained to you.
Step-by-step. In a piece-meal fashion.

Otherwise, the script is lacking. Yup, I know.

7. Why is she living in Metropolis or Gotham (couldn't remember if they mentioned the specific town) in a Apartment? How long was she living there? Why did she decide to leave before the battle with Doomsday? Was it because Bruce gave her a digital copy of her photo? Wouldn't she know that Lex would still have copies on his main computer, since all Bruce did was copy his files? He didn't destroy them. Where was she going? Why did she abandon humanity? Is she immortal? Is she a meta-human? Why did she take the hard drive that she knew Bruce was looking for, get stumped on the encryption, and then just give it back to Bruce, when she knew that there was a chance that it had information on her? Did she know that he was batman when she did this? How would she know?

They gonna answer all these dumbass questions for you in her ‘solo’ movie.
Buy your tickets now.

8. Where did she hide her Sword, shield, lasso, and outfit when she boarded Turkish Airlines? Did she go back home to put it on? If she revealed herself to fight Doomsday, why didn't she reveal herself when Superman was outnumbered and the world was about to end? Is she as strong as superman? Why is she able to block Doomsday's lazer eyes? What is the deal with the Lasso anyway? Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about what you know from the comics. *Answer... You can't*

They gonna answer all these dumbass questions for you in her ‘solo’ movie.
Buy your tickets now.

9. To follow that up, where in the hell was Batman during the Battle with Zod? In what universe would you have Batman sitting on the sidelines for this? You un-retire when the world is at stake? (I don't want to hear that "It was Superman's story and not his bullshit" .. you can't play that card when you have a team up in the next movie where he does join in to help Superman) Zod was a much bigger threat at the time then Doomsday was even in this movie.

Welp, since his Bat-jet got destroyed while you were sleeping in the movie theater…. and since he cannot fly…. Batman was on the side playing the sniper role… waiting for the best opportunity to fire his VERY LAST Kryptonite-filled shotgun shell at Doomsday.

At least that’s what I saw.

But I gotta ask… if you had a gun with just one single bullet left… where exactly would YOU be standing during a fight with Doomsday, if you had zero superhuman powers? Just curious.

You would knuckle up, and try to ’shoot a fair one’ with Doomsday, right? (As long as it was written in the script)

10. What in the Hell was Lex's end game here? Did he think he was going to control Doomsday? If he set in motion the Superman v. Batman battle before he had access to the ship... did he just hope that Batman was going to kill Superman and then he just created Doomsday as a fall back? Then what???? Was Superman in his way of accomplishing something? I don't know, because the movie never said it.

Yes, he thought he could control Doomsday because he used his own blood & DNA to create him.
Lex wanted power. What every movie villain usually wants.

But they didn’t tell you that onscreen, so I could see how it goes over your head.

11. Why did Lex blow up Mercy?

Because he’s a villain. And that’s what villains do…. Villain shit.
Like kill their own henchmen from time to time.

But they didn’t explain that to you onscreen, so I could see how it goes over your head.

12. Why does Lex have a hard drive full of meta humans? What is the Meta human thesis? Why is he so obsessed with them? Why did he give them individual symbols? Why were there only 4 colored folders? Are they the only meta humans on the Planet? Why didn't Clark Kent/Superman have a folder? Why didn't he have a folder on Batman/Bruce Wayne... since it appeared that he didn't know whether Batman was a metahuman or not... based on this movie.

Because he’s a villain. And that’s what villains do. Villain shit.
Like track down Heroes.

Guess he just didn’t get around to creating the Superman & Batman folders yet….:dunno:

But they didn’t explain that to you onscreen, so I could see how it baffles the shit outta you.

13. What are meta humans in this world... They weren't mentioned in Man of Steel? Does the government view them as a threat? Is Wonder Woman a metahuman? (As a fan I know, but as a movie goer... did the movie tell me)

Cut the bullshit. :hmm:

If you had to take a wild guess… what do YOU think they are?

I know a 6-year old kid who can answer that question.. .and he’s NEVER even seen this movie.

Do you think the Government views them as a threat after watching MoS?

Like I said earlier, they gonna answer all these dumbass Wonder Woman questions for you in her ‘solo’ movie.
Buy your tickets now.

14. Why was Wayne Manor empty and possibly burned? What happened there?

Newsflash: Bruce Wayne is a billionaire who owns property all over town and lives whereever the fuck he chooses.

Btw, lots of building were destroyed & burned in MoS and BvS….

Do you need a ‘backstory’ on EVERY building that got demolished? :dunno:

He don’t live there no more. He’s a Billionaire. Why does it matter?

15. Why do Clark Kent and Lois Lane love each other? (stole this question from vox.com, but it is a good point)... Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about their love story from the comics or from other Superman films. *Answer: You can't... they never talk about it.*

This is a silly ass question. People fall in love. Shit happens.

But if your dumbass needs an answer…. During the 18-MONTH break that passed by (offscreen)… as we clearly saw…. Clark is fucking the shit outta Lois in the bathtub.

That’s why they fell in love.

Next question.

16. Why would Batman immediately become Superman's ally after hearing their mom's have the same first name? Was it because he saw that if Superman could have a mom then he is a man and not a god or was it because he saw that he had an opportunity to save Martha (i.e. his mom) this time when he failed to do it as a kid? I think the movie did make a reference to this with a line by Batman before he left to go rescue his mom.

Batman realized that Superman was only doing the SAME THING he would do, if Batman was in his shoes.
Trying to save his mom. (who had the same name as his own mother)

So he realized they have ‘more in common’ than he ever thought possible.

The fact that you need this explained to you is pathetic. :smh:

17. Why was Batman willing to use a gun and kill people, yet he always had visions of his Parents getting killed by a Gun? Why did he have all these dreams? Did he have them all the time? Why was he having them? Was he just crazy?

People have dreams when they sleep.

Especially guys who dress up like a Bat and terrorize criminals in their own hideouts.
Plus, Batman gets shots at all the damn time… so naturally he even dreams about guns & being shot at in his sleep.

Batman is so focused at his job… he even DREAMS of shooting criminals… who shoot at HIM all the time. Like a war vet.

Bruh, you need this to be explained to you onscreen?

18. What the fuck was going on in the Desert dream sequence? What was any of that about? Again... Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about what you know from the comics or from other Superman films. *Answer: You can't....*

Its called a nightmare, dumbass. See #17 above.

19. Was it a dream sequence, an actual event, or a premonition?.... Again... Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about what you know from the comics or from other Superman films. *Again Answer: You can't....*

It was a nightmare.

Bruce Wayne fell asleep at his desk while investigating Lex Luthor’s activities.

Oh yeah, you wasn’t paying attention during the movie. I forgot.

20. Who was that in the dream/event/premonition talking to Batman? Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about what you know from the comics.

That was the Flash. Using the Speed Force to travel through time.

Don’t worry Spanky, you’ll learn all about it in the next Justice League Movie.
Buy your tickets now.

21. If Superman knew that he was walking into a trap with Batman, why didn't he just tell Batman that Lex Luther has his mom? He had several times to tell him. Even after he has hit with Kryptonite.

The very first thing he DID was try to tell him about Lex.
But Batman attacked him too quickly.. every time he opened his mouth.

Batman was there to fight. Not talk.

Eventually Superman said to himself “Fuck it. Let’s do this.”

But you were sleeping during this part.…. and they didn’t post the subtitles onscreen… so it baffled the shit outta you. I understand.

22. At what point did Lex find out that Clark Kent was Superman? Was it before he got on the ship or after? I don't remember the ship from Man of Steel having that type of information about Clark's family on it. Maybe it did. Let's say that it did. How would zod's fingerprints allow Lex to gain so much control over the ship that he is able to create his own username and password?

Lex found out quite alot of information that was stored on Zod’s ship.
Zod was using his spaceship’s computer to track down Superman in MoS.

Zod tracked Superman’s spacecraft to the Kent Farm.

That info was most likely stored in the ship computer.
Zod didn’t just write it on a ‘post-it note’ and stick it on a computer terminal when he has a ship that ‘voice activated’.

Meanwhile, Lex shaved off Zod’s fingerprints and uses his Master Admin Login ID….. to create a ‘New Sub-Acccount’ (with Admin Privileges) for himself.

But you weren’t paying attention. :smh:…. and they didn’t post the subtitles onscreen. I get it.

26. How was the Ship able to give the Lex the secrets of the universe and create Doomsday if it only had 37% power. Wouldn't something like that take up way more then 30%? Did Lex connect the ship to the city's power? Is that why all the lights went out right before Doomsday was born? Again... no explanation.

You don’t even need to reference a movie to answer half this shit you just posted. :smh:

Try this: Turn on your laptop. Let the battery drain down to about 10% percent.

If you can still open any “MS Word Document” with just 10% battery life…. there’s your answer.

It doesn’t take much power to ‘access information’ on a computer. :smh:
But it takes power to ‘fly across the universe’.

This is an spaceship filled with ALIEN technology that can cross galaxies… so who knows… a lousy 37% of its power could be equivalent to several nuclear power plants on planet Earth. :dunno:

But you need to be TOLD this in the script. And you need to SEE it onscreen. I get it.

23. What is Batman's plan for getting Superman to fight him? (Again, stolen from vox.com, but another extremely good point) Seriously... He turns on the Bat signal and waits in a warehouse. Yes I know Clark said don't turn on the signal again or there will be trouble. But what is the fucking likelihood that Batman would set up this fight... THE EXACT same time that Lex kidnapped Superman's mom and gave him 30 minutes to kill the Bat. It's not like the movie showed that Lex was spying on Bruce and knew what he was planning and when it would happened. Lex just set in motion Bruce getting Kryptonite. Which by the way was a Stupid plan, because let's say... Batman did kill Superman. Well now Batman knows you were behind everything, because you basically told him by leaving all these obvious clues.

The human death toll in the city and elsewhere, notably an African village of terrorists, affects the public mood (of anger and helplessness) including Gotham’s cynical vigilante billionaire Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aka Batman who believes that Superman is responsible for ALL the collateral damage.

In so many words… Superman told Batman “Don’t turn on your signal… or I’ma come see you” :hmm:
So that’s EXACTLY what Batman does when he READY to fight.

Batman got bullied. So eventually he called Superman out when he felt strong enough to shoot a ‘fair one’.

How hard is that to understand? :dunno:

But lemme get this right…. You asking what is the likelihood that 2 separate, but related events (that move the story forward) would happen at the SAME TIME.. in a movie where niggas can fly, shoot laser beams out their eyes… and bullets bounce off their bare chest, huh?

Jeez, you are really dumb as hell. :smh:

27. Why was there a scene with Superman just randomly dragging a capsized ship in the Antarctic or North Pole by it's anchor chain? It was clearly empty. There was no one to save. Yet there he was... walking on frozen water, dragging a fucking ship behind him. If you can answer that question... then you truly are a God among us.

That scene was there to help your dumbass understand ‘the passage of time’ without needing text at the bottom of the screen to literally tell you shit like: ‘Six months later’.

Time is passing.

- Superman is doing Superman shit.
- Batman is doing Batman shit.
- Lex is doing Lex shit.

It’s called a segue.

Meanwhile, the debate continues over who is truly responsible for all the ‘collateral damage’ Superman has caused.

“What SHOULD Superman be doing?” - quote from Holly Hunter

Pulling tankers out of the arctic that might be spilling gas and fucking up the environment? :dunno:

Or going over to Batman’s crib and apologizing for knocking his building down while saving his ass.. and the entire planet?

25. What was that in the Batcave? Was that a monument to Robin? Is there a Robin in this universe? Why was something written on it? Where did it come from? Who wrote that? Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about what you know from the comics. *Answer: you can't*

It was Robin’s old suit. And Lex scribbled the message on it.

Just like he scribbled the other messages on all the paystubs of the checks that were sent to the guy in the wheelchair.

Maybe you were sleeping during the movie when Lex admitted that stuff.

28. Why did Louis know to go back for the spear? (Great point by @chislee) She didn't know what Doomsday weaknesses were. Hell she didn't even what the fuck Doomsday was. She did know at that time that the spear could kill the man she loved. So why go back and bring to the battlefield the one thing that could definitely kill Superman?

Lois witnessed Batman bussin' Superman’s ass, firsthand.

And that’s the ONLY person who CLEARLY had him beaten. Right at Death’s Door.
Not even Zod was at the point where he was about to kill him in MoS. :smh:

She figured if that spear Batman had could kill Superman… it would probably also work on this NEW monster that was created on a Kryptonian spaceship.

Maybe it was a lucky guess. It’s just a movie, dawg.

But I forgot, you need this shit spelled out for you. Every minor detail.

I would have agreed with all this as being great detective work if the movie didn't have Lex tell Superman that he basically set all this up to have Batman battle Superman. The ship, the files, all that shit was Lex left clues for batman. Do we know how he knew batman would take the bait... No but the movie directly said he manipulated batman.

Otherwise, the script is lacking. Yup, I know.

They gonna answer all these dumbass questions for you in her ‘solo’ movie.

They gonna answer all these dumbass questions for you in her ‘solo’ movie.

Yes, he thought he could control Doomsday because he used his own blood & DNA to create him.
Lex wanted power. What every movie villain usually wants.

But they didn’t tell you that onscreen, so I could see how it goes over your head.

Because he’s a villain. And that’s what villains do…. Villain shit.
Like kill their own henchmen from time to time.

But they didn’t explain that to you onscreen, so I could see how it goes over your head.

This is a silly ass question. People fall in love. Shit happens.

But if your dumbass needs an answer…. During the 18-MONTH break that passed by (offscreen)… as we clearly saw…. Clark is fucking the shit outta Lois in the bathtub.

That’s why they fell in love.

Next question.

Batman realized that Superman was only doing the SAME THING he would do, if Batman was in his shoes.
Trying to save his mom. (who had the same name as his own mother)

So he realized they have ‘more in common’ than he ever thought possible.

The fact that you need this explained to you is pathetic. :smh:

People have dreams when they sleep.

Especially guys who dress up like a Bat and terrorize criminals in their own hideouts.
Plus, Batman gets shots at all the damn time… so naturally he even dreams about guns & being shot at in his sleep.

Batman is so focused at his job… he even DREAMS of shooting criminals… who shoot at HIM all the time. Like a war vet.

Bruh, you need this to be explained to you onscreen?

Its called a nightmare, dumbass. See #17 above.

It was a nightmare.

Bruce Wayne fell asleep at his desk while investigating Lex Luthor’s activities.

Oh yeah, you wasn’t paying attention during the movie. I forgot.

That was the Flash. Using the Speed Force to travel through time.

Don’t worry Spanky, you’ll learn all about it in the next Justice League Movie.
Buy your tickets now.

I get it.

I get it.

:smh:

It was Robin’s old suit. And Lex scribbled the message on it.

Just like he scribbled the other messages on all the paystubs of the checks that were sent to the guy in the wheelchair.

Maybe you were sleeping during the movie when Lex admitted that stuff.

I'm putting #25 on the Joker writing on Robins suit.

Okay my turn, I really enjoyed this. If anything Zach made it a little "too real", The Watchmen comparison was spot on in a good way. I found everyone's performances pretty solid and the EFX were good. The only place where the film faltered to me was the fight with McGilla Gorilla or Donkey Kong at the end. Bottom line is its an origin picture for the Justice League films. *** from me.

You nerds hate everything, it was good.

Yep, this shit was better than the whole overrated Iron Man trilogy.

If Snyder can just co direct the visuals, and let better folks write and direct than the films can be better,

DC got the foundation with Batman and Wonder Woman to usher in universe

That's why I was telling him it was the Joker.

If they would have put a flashback of him beating Robin with the crowbar, and Batman leaving the game, then it could set up the future universe better.

I won't be shocked,if they do that in the first Batman movie

Coming from someone who wanted to hate this movie, it wasn't that bad ... now it wasn't good either, but there were a lot of good things in it. I really think subsequent movies will show what WB was trying with to do with this movie; however, that does not excuse bad storytelling (e,g, Flash showing up)

Lex's dialogue was unforgivable however ... that shit was horrible. Also the cliche ass "God have mercy on us line" from the President made me facepalm in the theater.

It was Robin’s old suit. And Lex scribbled the message on it.

No, that was the Joker's doing and a nod to fans.

No. She didn't even know what the hell was going on out there or who was out there. So yes, this needs to be explained.

Lol at batman going thru all that work to get the Flash drive and then falling asleep when he puts it in. Come on.

They show us how Batman's parents die for the millionth time, but they can't take 2 minutes to explain some other shit.

No, that was the Joker's doing and a nod to fans.
Look closely.

The (hand-written) scribbled message on Robin's suit matches the scribbled messages on all the pay stubs for the guy in the wheelchair that Bruce Wayne was sifting thru.

Now, I could be wrong because I think the Joker wrote that shit on Robin's uniform in the comics after he killed him...

But the resemblance is ironic.

Even the 'wording' of the messages on the suit & pay stubs is the same.

Personally, I think the upcoming 'Suicide Squad' movie will clear it up.

This is one of those 'plot devices' that will continue in other movies, imo.

This is a plot hole. While she may know Krypton can kill Superman from MOS movie, it wasn't in a solid form in MOS.
Ok, she knows it can kill Superman, but she had no clue what was out there. By the way, why the hell was she even still there? Where did the person that dropped her off, go.

I agree that it is somewhat open to interpretation ... especially with the (painful) monologue from Lex, but the wording - "Ha Ha the Joke's on you Batman" - pointed towards the Joker.

Its the Joker

Confirmed by DC writer Geoff Johns

Since the Batman we meet in Batman v Superman has been fighting the good fight on the streets of Gotham for decades, there’s a strong possibility this film could be a flashback to some of those early battles. For instance, BvS features a Robin uniform covered with Joker graffiti, which implies the Boy Wonder has been killed by the Clown Prince of Crime in a previous story. Geoff Johns, chief creative officer for DC Entertainment, who has consulted on the full slate of movies, says the Robin suit is another example of groundwork BvS is laying for future stories. “We’ll be exploring that,” says Johns. “No one says specifically the name of which Robin that is.”

No. She didn't even know what the hell was going on out there or who was out there. So yes, this needs to be explained.
Ummm... Superman had already saved her from Lex dropping her off the building... Before he went to go fight Batman.... Meanwhile, every tv station & news outlet in the city was reporting about what was happening at Zod's spaceship. With helicopters flying around.

Wait a sec, wasn't Lois right in the middle of the buzzing newsroom as they were reporting the electricity surges at Zod's ship.... when she asked Fishburn to use the company helicopter to go see Superman??

Ahh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. My bad.

Did you see how long that shit was taking to decrypt? lol

After batman and Superman fought, she stayed behind and threw the spear in the water. When everyone came back to that area, we see Lois attempt to leave and then for some reason she decides to go back and get the spear. She didn't even see who was fighting.

I didn't understand the issue with Diana's pictures. She wanted them back from lex, but then Bruce gets a hold of them and she doesn't seem to care.

At what point did Bruce reveal to Diana that he was also batman? During the fight, he had his mask on. Then at the funeral, she knows who he is. He doesn't know what her intentions are or where she came from. Yeah she helped with Doomsday, but since when has batman ever been that trusting. He is suspicious of everyone.

4. How is Superman able to find Lois Lane no matter where she is... right before she is about to die ALL THE TIME. Yet he couldn't hear his mom getting kidnapped.
Probably the same way most people recognize the voice of someone they love and know well, even in a crowded stadium. Now amplify that to the level of Superman's hearing.

8. Where did she hide her Sword, shield, lasso, and outfit when she boarded Turkish Airlines? Did she go back home to put it on?
It's called "suspension of disbelief."

Is she as strong as superman?
No, but she is one of the strongest in the DCEU. From the DC Wiki database: Granted by Demeter (Goddess of the Earth). Diana is literally as strong as the Earth because of her link to the planet granted to her by Demeter. She is said to be "stronger than Hercules". Wonder Woman is as strong as Superman himself and able to physically outmatch other beings such as Supergirl.

Why is she able to block Doomsday's lazer eyes?

Again from the DC Wiki: Bracelets of Submission: Modeled after the shackles the Amazons were once enslaved with. The gauntlets were formed from the remains of Zeus's legendary Aegis shield, and were re-forged for her use by Hephaestus. Diana's superhuman reflexes enable her to use the gauntlets to easily deflect projectiles (such as bullets) and powerful energy blasts from beings such as Ares and Darkseid. She is even fast enough to protect herself from multi-vector attacks. At close-range the gauntlets block blades, weapons and punches. They are even able to deflect Darkseid's energy attacks.[80] When crossed, the gauntlets generate a remnant of the Aegis itself, forming an impenetrable barrier just in front of them which allows Diana to protect herself and those behind her from area attacks.

What is the deal with the Lasso anyway?

Lasso of Truth: The Lasso of Truth is her signature weapon. Most who are captured in it are forced to answer any questions she asks and are unable to lie. It cannot be broken, snapped or cut. She can also control it to a certain degree using telepathy. It can also be used to erase memories, heal the mentally ill (in some cases),[citation needed] and implant commands that must then be obeyed.

Answer this question using only the material found in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Don't talk about what you know from the comics. *Answer... You can't*

And you aren't supposed to know these answers UNLESS you are familiar with the comics. This was her INTRODUCTION, not her ORIGIN. You expect all of the above to be answered in THIS movie, even though WW wi be starring in her own movie in 2017. What sense does what you want make???

The only parts I thought was good was the Batman/Bruce Wayne parts and the fight scene. Other than that the movie was just okay.

Shit, they even set up for darkseid. The omega and his minions
