NFL Free Agency 2016....

Cowboys getting Rolando McClain back

1 year 5 million

Guess that means we won't draft Jack at #4

I'm cool with Ramsey or trade down a little bit and get Elliott

The Jaguars and Raiders isn't fucking around....the Jaguars just got Chris Ivory

The Jacksonville Jaguars tried signing a bruising running back in free agency two years ago in Toby Gerhart. That didn't work out, so they are trying it again with a more proven option.

Former Jets running back Chris Ivory will sign with the Jaguars after free agency opens, a source told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. In a corresponding move, Rapoport reported the team will release Gerhart. ESPN first reported the Ivory news.

Per Rapoport, the deal is for five years, with an average north of $6 million per year, according to a source informed of the deal.

Ivory is a great fit for a Jaguars backfield that wants to pound the football. Ivory has gained at least 800 rushing yards in each of the last three years, but his injury history has proven he's better off the less you use him. Ivory is the second big move the Jaguars made Tuesday after they agreed to terms with defensive end Malik Jackson. And they aren't done spending yet.

Ivory was one of the best backs in the league in the first half of last season before wearing down in the home stretch. Jets fans will miss him, but it's not a surprise he is leaving.

In Jacksonville, he won't be asked to carry the ball 300 times. The team has a rock solid second-round pick from 2015 in T.J. Yeldon to share the ball with Ivory. Both players can handle a variety of roles on any down, giving the team flexibility in play-calling.

Ivory was ranked No. 33 on our top 99 free agents list, part of a deep free-agent running back class.Lamar Miller, Matt Forte, Doug Martin and Arian Foster still have to find their homes.

Free-agent cornerback Janoris Jenkins has decided to sign with the New York Giants.

Jenkins told ESPN's Josina Anderson on Wednesday that it "feels good" to be joining the Giants and he expects to sign a five-year contract. That deal is said to be worth $62.5 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jenkins, 27, had his most consistent season in 2015 for the St. Louis Rams, finishing with 64 tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble in 15 games.

In his four seasons with the Rams, Jenkins has been one of the league's best playmaking defensive backs, scoring six touchdowns, the most of any defensive player in the NFL in that span.

Jenkins said during the season that he and the Rams had negotiated up until the bye week, but since the team had not signed him by then, he wouldn't talk about a contract again until after the season.

The Rams used a second-round pick on Jenkins in the 2012 NFL draft and immediately plugged him in as a starter. He started 60 games in his four years with the team.

Nappy u my nigga 5000 grand but

We got a whole free agency thread

Idgaf tho

Either way that's a lot to be giving up

I think it's great...another mid or low pick would be better but with this deal the Eagles Clear $5 million off the books and move up in the first rd to target a better player (possibly Stanley, Ramsey, ) , or gain leverage to trade with a team who wants to move up and earn more picks. Plus the New D coordinator gets to install preffered players..possilbly targeting Whitehead or Bradham to replace Kiko and another Corner to replace maxwell..

hoping to hear us Sign a Safety like Iloka, Rodney Mcleod,...a Guard like Jeff Allen, Brandon Brooks....LB's Bradham or Whitehead .and maybe a WR role player.

Same dilemma the Skins are in. We need a DT and youth on the DL in general. But our runnng game was doo doo last season and if Elliot falls to #21, that's mighty tempting. But I'm thinking they will most likely go DL 1st two picks or DL, ILB.

I'm curious to see where Elliot goes. He's the best back in this draft and the running backs in this draft ain't as good as last years. Its gonna be some DT's there in that late 1st and early 2nd. Some that are going to come in and start FIRST DAY. We gotta get one.
