Is there something wrong with the Alerts? Like I'll get on the board and see some threads I'm subbed to with me being quoted or just a response to the thread on front page and there's no alerts at all. I'd have to go and look at my watched/subscribed threads to find updates.

It's been going on for about a week I think. Like alerts have been hit or miss. Or am I the only one noticing that?

I think it works like this, if you get an alert and you click the alert and visit the thread you get the next alert, if you do not visit the thread you will get no more alerts.

I will try and find the exact language, but I know from personal experience, I will see an alert and not visit the thread if I want to stop the alert from that particular thread.

Nah I get how that works. But saying about the past week, seems like I can come on the board for the first time for the day, see no alerts, then go to the first page of the main board and see posts I'm watching and didn't get any alerts. And was commented on maybe an hour before I got on.

Maybe it's nothing. But something I've been noticing for about a week. Been hit or miss. Then I look in my watched threads and see posts been made like overnight, but no alerts like when it first used to over the past few weeks.

Have u tried any other browser on mobile, I heard cheetah was notorious for ads and shit, I'm currently using chrome and have no problems with the new board

Be careful, cheetah mobile is mining your data usage like a motherfucker. They are owned by a Chinese firm that has more interest in your history than even than ad generated profit

I know it's sad but I am finally 100% recovered from my Super Bowl Drunk. Getting old is a bitch. When I was in my 20's I could get plastered and be fully recovered by the morning, not so much these days.

In summary I'm back on the grind.

playahaitian I really don't understand the search order problem, I know mask was complaining about it also when we first changed the board. Maybe since time has passed and I have used search a lot I will understand what you are saying when I go back through all of the complaints. I hope to do this soon.

Go to your name in the upper right hand corner and click on Personal Details, then look for Custom Title: you can then change it to anything you like

If you click on a members avatar you can see all of the information that was below the avatar. I removed if from under the avatar because it was making each individual post longer and making it almost impossible to distinguish one post from the other, due to the increased white space between post.

I was about to re-install tapatalk until I learned they are now mining the database of forums for emails and sending ads to forum members. That was a deal breaker for me. If members start getting emails from tapatalk they will be raging mad at me saying I've compromised their private information. Then I will have to listen to that shit for the next 3-4 years. Tapatalk has been a free service for years and now they are trying to make some money. I'll do more research on this and if they have changed their policies on data mining I'll install the app.

Tapatalk is accessing forum data, email etc and sending ads to members, I cannot allow that.

Ok, so.... WHY TAKE THE APP AWAY?

1. Security. This is the big one, that my decision is mostly based on. I have good reason to fear that the data of our users may be at high risk of compromise should we continue to run Tapatalk's plugin. Taptalk's own xenforo support forum was hacked last week, with all user data, passwords, and email stolen. The security "culture" at Tapatalk is quite despicable. Security fixes are slow, silent, and misleading. Security issues are ignored, sometimes files are silently fixed and version numbers are not updated, and we forum admins are left in the dark. Lately, multiple XSS vulnerabilities have been discovered in the xenforo tapatalk plugin, and Tapatalk is silently fixing on their site while leaving the xenforo community in the dark.
