Ok, so.... WHY TAKE THE APP AWAY?

  1. Security. This is the big one, that my decision is mostly based on. I have good reason to fear that the data of our users may be at high risk of compromise should we continue to run Tapatalk's plugin. Taptalk's own xenforo support forum was hacked last week, with all user data, passwords, and email stolen. The security "culture" at Tapatalk is quite despicable. Security fixes are slow, silent, and misleading. Security issues are ignored, sometimes files are silently fixed and version numbers are not updated, and we forum admins are left in the dark. Lately, multiple XSS vulnerabilities have been discovered in the xenforo tapatalk plugin, and Tapatalk is silently fixing on their site while leaving the xenforo community in the dark.

I actually agree with you about the security issues with Tapatalk. As much as I love it, they have gained to much control over personal information with their newest update.
 
@HNIC
This isn't a board complaint. It's just a suggestion. Is it possible to create a subforum, either on the main board or the entertainment board, for cord cutters? It seems like once or twice a week there is a question about Cord Cutting or Kodi. A subforum would likely reduce the redundant threads that we have on the topic.

Why don't I get alerts for threads I started unless it's a like or quote? If people post without quoting the OP, I won't know what's going on in the thread unless I check on it.
 
HNIC, in the last week 2 cats deleted 2 threads that they were getting clowned on. Lexx tried to recover them but said they got permanently deleted.

Is there a way to not permanently delete so us members can clown the OPs when needed.

As the HNIC I have to be more responsive to the members, if a member is extremely frustrated because his deleted threads keep getting un-deleted, I have to side with and respect the member. I know what thread you are talking about I was about to un-delete it myself, but I know the members expect me to be a unbiased observer.

there is no stable dislike option available, the developer for this board says he will never add a dislike button, but since Facebook has one now maybe he will also :dunno:

Is there a plan B just in case the safe house is compromised? When it was down I was like what if it never comes back up? lol Need to put a back up on place, or newsletter to assure the crew stays around. Peace

New site is cool.
 
every few days (including a few minutes ago) when i try to log on, it takes up to a couple of minutes for the page to open up.

when it happens, i always go to another tab and try to open up other sites just to make sure that it's not my internet connection that's messing up and the other sites always open right up.

anyone else having this problem or is it just me?
 
Don't know if this was addressed, but why does the site log you out everytime your internet connection changes? For example I was browsing a thread on my in home wifi. Went outside to walk the dog and my phone switched to LTE. Bgol logged me out.


It does this every single time. It also does it when I walk into my wifi hot spot

When you log in you have to click the button, stay logged in, if not you will be logged out after x amount of time.

It can be a matter of seconds . The problem isn't the time I stay logged in it's the Internet Connection. When it changes the site logs you out automatically .

Did you check the stay logged in button? It is on the right hand side of the login button :dunno:

My Safari browser doesn't show most/any videos migrated from instagram/vine/tumblr/etc. Please assist.
