Prime Vick or Prime Newton?

Fuck that shit, I was a season ticket holder back then. Give me Cam Newton. Vick was exciting, dynamic and was winning games, but it was starting to become known that Vick had to step up his pocket passing game. He was running too damn much and he would not get the fuck down like a Russell Wilson. He took it as a badge of honor that he would fight for every yard, so he was always hurt.
It also became evident that his receivers were not catching his balls cause they never knew where in the fuck he was. Roddy would run down the field and Vick is scrambling trying to be a hero, then he would fling the ball out of west hell and expect you to catch it.
Add that to the fact he was trying to be the Hip Hop QB, walking around with his dope can, smoking blunts in public. Screw that shit, give me Cam

Give Vick todays Julio, along with the more talented version of Rhoddy, and a GOOD OL, there wouldnt be too much of a difference.
Vick got his ass rocked, not just because he dived head first, or because he ran too much, but most times it was because of ATLs shit line. That line and receivers not getting open had him running for his life more than anything else. Simple as that. Vick could pass IN HIS PRIME...but he never got the chance to pass....or even improve his passing game BECAUSE OF SHIT OL's.
Steelers got a shit OL as well. Ben has sick passing stats a lot of times with that team because, a la Cam, his size allowed him to break tackles. Vick doesnt have that privilege.
Cam is a great QB.....but all the people making it seem as if he throws precision passes are kidding themselves. A lot of his throws look wacky as well. Give props to those receivers for their speed and ability to get open...which in return helped Cams passing stats, A LOT.
Since you all want to compare Black qbs to other Black qbs
A better poll wouldve been Vick or Wilson.
Wilson is the same size as Vick and runs for his life a lot like Vick as well.
Btw......QB's like Brady and Manning wouldnt be in any HOF conversations if they didnt have HOF OL's during most of their careers. When they get pressured....they look like 5th round draft picks.

Y'all are waaaaayyyyy wrong. VICK was a more dangerous weapon in his prime. He was the best runner to EVER play the game in his prime. He required complete new defensive schemes. Cam is a beast. But very good in a traditional sense. Vick could run for 80. Vick and Cam both had/have great arms. Vicks arm strength was outstanding.

Also when he was just coming into his prime or in his prime he had to do damn near 2 years in a federal prison for that dog fighting incident.
With that much time away from the game I suspect he had to reboot himself with conditioning and training to resume the skill sets

Newton all day. Vick was inaccurate, That fact was overshadowed by his ability to scramble and run successfully. Newton has everything. Hopefully my Broncos shut his ass down.
Vick had the potential to be all world everything but by his own admission he didn't give a fuck until he came back from the dog fighting fiasco. Vick had a laser canon for an arm so I give him the edge there. Overall game goes to Cam. Vick should have added some weight. But Tyrod Taylor has a similar body (we'll see how long it take for him to get blasted). Let's give Cam a couple more years and let's have this conversation again. But Cam is smart and athletically gifted. And I agree, if Vick knew how to slide, he wouldn't have gotten injured so much. He was pretty much a target when he ran the ball!

Vick could have been a supercharged Steve Young but he didn't want nothing to do with the white board which FORCED him to put it all on him, and severely undercut his career.
He could have been the best. But he refused to put the work in.
He's the Roy Jones Jr. of the QB position in this sense...you can only be fast and rely on your physical gifts for so long. Sooner or later, you're going to have to learn the position.

Possible. But Vicks track record of ignoring all receivers (with the exception of AlgeCrumpler) says otherwise.
Cam. If he had Benjamin he would have 10-13 more passing TDs , the fact that he is making bums look good is the mark of a top 5 QB.
