If anyone watched Vick in his early years for ATL you wouldn't fall into the media narrative that he wasn't a pocket passer. They were not saying that back then. What they were saying was if ATL ever got Vick some WRs that could catch the ball, they would be a dangerous team. In his prime, Vick is the more athletic of the 2 and I think he has a bigger arm than Cam. He's definitely faster. Remember, Vick had a young Roddy White and Brian Finneran at WR and the only players that could catch Vick's passes were Warrick Dunn, TJ Duckett, and Alge Crumpler. How fast people forget. Watch some old tape of Vick, not the highlights cause they will only show him running. I mean actually watch some game film and those who chose Cam may reconsider. The records will show that Vick has thrown X amount of INTs...what it won't show you is how many passes hit the receiver in the hands or chest, bounced off and got picked. This happens to be Cam's best year as a pro so my answer may change in 5 or 6 years. But right here, right now, I believe Vick was better in his prime than Cam is today.

Cam....Vick was faster but Cam's a better passer........like said Cam's way ahead of Vick and he's not even in his prime

Newton and it's not even a debate. As great as Vick was he was always smallish and prone to an injury. Most of his stuff came off of improvising where Cam with his size, strength and speed is a more dynamic threat and you can actually run set plays for him....

Who y'all got? In their ABSOLUTE prime?

Cam easily. Vick was fast but Cam is a better all around athlete. Plus at 6'5" and 250 lbs he can take a hit that would give Vick a concussion. Finally Vick don't have the arm Cam has.

Co sign 100..

Newton got a better supporting cast plus i think he got a lot more in the tank before we say words like "in his prime" With that being said he might surpass Vick

Yeah, Ginn, Cotchery, Brown, etc. are all world... Stop it :hmm:
Does not matter what we think of them individually as players, as a "Team" they seem to be a perfect fit for each other and their system. This may be another teams that proves that hard work, buying into the system does not always require elite talent.

They are a perfect fit dude to how Cams overall skillset magnifies their strengths and mitigates their weaknesses. You can't just plug anybody in there and it would work, including Vick. Difference is like I said, most of Vicks flow was more improvisation, Cam has pre-designed run plays, and with his physicality he was able to perform in all facets at such a high level for an ENTIRE season without injury. Vick was more frail, and would not have lasted an entire season with this unit, and they would not have performed the same. To blanket say that Vick is comparable to Newton is not really intelligent. There are intangibles that Newton has that Vick doesn't so ultimately, they are not really that close in overall impact...

Cam bigger more durable. Vick could never stay on the field. Cam is not as "electrifying" per se, but more efficient.

Niggas must not remember Vick he only got hurt on a run and broke like his tibia, but other than that he was solid, and he was like the first qb to go up to green bay and win a playoff game when the weather was shitty, furthermore kill that Vick don't have an arm we would watch him flick his wrist and boom a 40 yard deep out on a frozen rope to the opposite hashmark. You must have also forgot he improvised more because the o-line was ass and much of the time the wr's were covered...to be honest the falcons would not have been shit without him. And you niggas really must have forgot the 2000 sugar bowl where he lead a team of nobody's to the national chip and damn near beat a loaded fsu

I am not sure what you are defendjng. My statement meant that if Vick played on this Panthers team they would have the same record, meaning if Vick played on a team with talent he would have got it done also. Vick did not have that luxury.

They are both great QB'S so I am not sure what you are defending

I'm not 'defending' anything, I'm disagreeing with you and giving my points. We both have a right to our opinions, I'm just dialoging with you chief... I don't believe you could plug Vick into this unit and have the same success because the Newton has intangibles that Vick doesn't have that make this team run... :hmm:

Cam's 5 years in Carolina outshines Vicks in Atlanta easily. Vick had 1 20 passing TD season there. Cam has had 4 in Carolina including a 30 TD one this season. Cam has a higher completion percentage, yards per game and season and QB rating. Cam already has more rushing TDs and is only 2nd to Vick in rushing yards per game for a QB. Meaning if he stays healthy he will surpass him in rushing yards too.

Vick was an exciting player who absolutely influenced and paved the way for Cam. But aint no point was he as good as Cam is this season, he never got ATL to the Bowl, and his durability was always an issue unlike Cam.

While Vick was playing in championship games thinking of New Year's Eve parties, cam was getting ready for a Super Bowl appearance.

I give Cam the nod, but you're right. Cam went to a good team that got his back from the coaches to the owner. Vick didn't have that luxury, o-line, or defense.
