Like you alluded to in the other thread, OPENLY bashing these candidates in the MSM and on social media is a bad idea. It will cause people to stay home. Clinton is a foul bitch, but the Republicans simply can't be allowed to dictate the Supreme Court.

This is why we need to be active in the mid-term elections. Who you send to Washington determines who gets those seats.
I think Bloomberg fucked himself over for any chance he'd ever have at being POTUS by running for (and then what he did during) that 3rd term as NYC mayor. He gave anyone too much ammunition to use against him. His huge 180 on term limits (supported, then got the shit reversed after voters voted for them) and the big soda thing.... any political strategist would salivate over using those things against him.
Dems aren't great, but any Dem running is more palatable than any Republican running, even the ones that have a little sense. I really really really don't want the next 2 (assuming Kennedy and Ginsberg aren't gonna be up for another 4-8 years). The GW Bush appointees are young as shit, Thomas and Scalia are old, but if they pass or retire, replacing them with likewise judges won't hurt... just keep the status quo. Ginsberg has major health problems, and any repub replacing her.... damn I don't even want to think about it. Kennedy at least is the swing vote, so same goes for him.

You talking like there aren't corrupt prosecutors and judges who don't overcharge to get convictions. It's much easier to convict a 2 time felon on circumstantial evidence. Judges and prosecutors did/do it often for bragging rights come an election year. The system is corrupt.
And even though all felonies didn't count toward 3 strikes law that didn't mean you still wouldn't get football numbers.
Besides 3 strikes was ruled unconstitutional in the first place. It was just another way for the justice system to prey on people.
