Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

Really? I know it's not quite Dora the Explorer but seriously?
There's nothing complicated about sitting your ass down and watching ANY damn show, 1 hour at a time.

If,he can't handle the TV show,I know he can't handle the book...I get confuse sometimes about some of the stuff in the books..:lol:

Sad...

She was so much more compliant when she was younger.

‘Game of Thrones’ casts Max von Sydow as three-eyed raven

max_von_sydow

INFORM NEWS

“Game of Thrones” is bringing in the big gun for Bran’s upcoming storyline. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed veteran actor Max von Sydow has joined the HBO hit as the mysterious three-eyed raven.

The character was last seen in the season four finale, when Bran and his pals met the mysterious and powerful character, played in that episode by Struan Rodger. Von Sydow’s lengthy screen resume dates back to 1949, with him earning Oscar nominations for 1987’s Pelle erobreren and 2011’s Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.

Von Sydow’s casting follows that of Deadwood alum Ian McShane, who is playing a mystery role.

Game Of Thrones' Natalie Dormer Doesn't Think Just Women Are Being Objectified On TV

Game of Thrones came under some hot water with how it treated a few scenes involving females this year. However, actress Natalie Dormer, who plays the well-liked character Margaery Tyrell on the hit HBO series, recently noted that she is involved in a field where everyone is objectified—not just the female characters. Here’s what she had to say:

My personal experience has been to work on phenomenal jobs in which the men are objectified as much as the women. Actors suffer from it, too… It’s a visual medium, so to a certain extent you get judged on the way you look.

While there aren’t a lot of naked men that have popped up on Game of Thrones--unlike other pay-cable series Spartacus, for example—a lot of the men on the series are thought of in terms of qualities related to their good looks and the charm that exudes off of them due to those good looks. There are plenty of Jon Snow and Robb Stark memes on the internet to prove that.

Still, there’s a lot of talk about the objectification of women on television, especially as related to the tight costumes Margaery and Daenerys have favored in the past, not to mention the lack of male nudity when women's bare breasts are on the show all the time. The way sex has been depicted—especially related to the way other female lead Sansa was treated in the bedroom during Season 5—has also been criticized on the series. Still, Natalie Dormer is also a staunch defender of the series, telling The Guardian that she believes Game of Thrones tackles topics in a way befitting the fantasy narrative.

But I think Thrones is quite good in that way. The violence is quite naturalistic. It’s not hyper-stylized. It’s not glamorized. And the sex is quite real and dirty as well. It’s about those raw, visceral qualities of human life that make good drama.

Whether or not people are happy about the ratio of male-to-female nudity on the HBO drama, the show is doing extremely well in the ratings and is already gearing up for Season 6. New cast members are signed on and we are expected to learn a lot more about returning characters, including Bran, Arya, Sansa, Margaery, Cersei and the probably/possibly dead Jon Snow. Although new episodes won’t air until 2016, you can find out everything we know about Game of Thrones Season 6; although we can tell you right now that we don’t know whether a penis or two will pop up. Most of the hot dudes on this drama are already dead, anyway.

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-e...ones-movie-according-to-reports-a6671706.html

Game of Thrones Film.

More than likely Robert's Rebellion.

George RR Martin has said a Game of Thrones movie is on the way, according to reports.

The A Song of Ice and Fire author was attending an HBO party put on after the Emmy’s when he made the huge announcement.

Daily Star on Sunday were apparently told by Martin: “There will be a movie but I will not be involved.

“I have too much to do. That is something HBO and the DB Weiss and David Beioff are dealing with. I have two more books to finish and I still have so much to do.

“The pressure is on. I am such a slow writer and the fans get upset that I don’t write faster.”

This should, of course, be taken with a huge pinch of salt. If we’re to take anything substantial away from the report it is that the author is concentrating his efforts on finishing The Winds of Winter rather than on a movie (thank the New Gods).

The report goes on to quote an insider who claims the film will likely be a prequel, allowing dead characters to return once more.

“With the Game Of Thrones universe there is much rich material and no constraints on when that story will take place,” a source said.

“They are looking at dipping back in time during certain periods of the series, which could be examined as a one off plot. That means that some of the big characters who fans have seen die on screen could be resurrected such as Robb Stark, Catelyn Stark, Oberyn Martell The Red Viper – and Ned Stark.

“George has written about a raft of other characters in the books, which have been as long as 1,200 pages.

“Some of those could be used for a completely separate idea and plot. George has created such an expansive universe of characters over 8,000 years of history, the possibilities are endless.”

Being a prequel is certainly believable, as could you imagine the series really finishing in a film?

HBO have said they “aren't able to comment on this at this time”.

'Game Of Thrones' Casts 'Spartacus' Alum Joseph Naufahu For Season 6

http://www.designntrend.com/articles/61999/20151002/game-of-thrones-casts-spartacus-joseph-naufahu-season-6.htm

The New Zealand-born actor (and former professional Rugby player) will appear in a "multi-episode arc" next season.

For those who don’t know the name…. Joseph Naufahu most recently appeared in…

- 2012 Spartacus (TV Series) - Joe played a warrior named ‘Liscus’
- 2014 The Last Saint (Movie) - Joe played a drug dealer named ‘Pinball’

30sk94h.jpg

Given Joe Naufahu's large, muscular physique, the actor might be playing a Dothraki warrior who is probably a member of the khalasar that found Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) in the season 5 finale.

There are at least 3 Dothraki warrior roles still left unannounced.

It was reported back in July that the hit HBO series was looking for "mixed ethnicity or other non-white actors" for the roles of 2 Dothraki soldiers named Qhogo and Akrat.

While Naufahu could be playing either Qhogo or Akrat, there's also a (STRONG) possibility that he might be playing Khal Jhago, the leader of the khalasar that Daenerys encountered at the end of last season.

According to the leaked casting call for a character resembling Khal Jhaqo in May, the role is a described as a fierce and tall warrior in his 30s or 40s with a powerful physique. The show's looking for someone with "mixed ethnicity" for the role.

Judging from his stature.... personally I think HBO just cast their Khal Drogo 2.0

Game of Thrones Gets a New Red Priestess for Season 6

08-melanie-liburd.w529.h529.jpg

Game of Thrones has signed one more name to its ever-growing cast: British actress Melanie Liburd, who broke the news herself on her own Instagram. Though Deadline's report seems to indicate that Liburd will be replacing Carice van Houten's Melisandre, all other evidence points to that not being the case — as first reported by Watchers on the Wall, she's playing the new red priestess character from the leaked season-six casting notice. Judging from photos from the set, she'll pop up in Meereen next year, where, according to a leaked audition for the role, she'll match wits with Tyrion and Varys. If one of them doesn't say "R'hllor? I hardly know 'er!" we will be incredibly disappointed.

GAME OF THRONES FIGHT KLUB

1 - Pick any Game of Thrones character(s) above.

2 - Create your own battle that we have never seen before on tv.

3 - Tell us who should win? And Why?

I’ll Start…. :D

——————————————————————
Robert Baratheon (in his prime) vs Khal Drogo

- This battle could go either way…. but overall it favors Khal Drogo, imo.
- If Khal Drogo speed doesn’t allow him to get touched for awhile, he could exploit openings in Robert’s armor and deliver lethal strikes to his neck, knees, armpits & joints…. Khal wins.
- But if Khal Drogo underestimates Robert’s savvy & Brute Power… just ONE solid hit from his warhammer will cripple Drogo. Game Over… Robert wins.

——————————————————————
Barristan Selmy vs. Oberyn Martell (The Viper)

- This is a toss up, imo.
- And one of the BEST battles we would ever see, if it ever happened.
- Can’t call it. :dunno:

——————————————————————
Grey Worm vs. Styr (The Bald Thenn Cannibal)

- Grey Worm definitely has the Speed Advantage. And his Spear gives him the Reach Advantage also.
- Styr has ruthlessness on his side. But needs to make the fight ‘close quarters combat’ to get a victory.
- If Styr disarms Grey Worm… he’s toast. Styr wins.
- If Grey Worm can keep some distance between them… Grey Worm wins.
- Bottom line... whoever drops their weapon FIRST will lose. Badly.

——————————————————————
Bronn vs. Ned Stark (in his Prime)

- Bronn would need some outside help (or distractions) to beat Ned Stark at 100%, imo.
- But if nobody interferes... AT ALL… he would eventually overpower Bronn. Ned Stark wins.

——————————————————————
Lord Commander Jon Snow vs. Stannis Baratheon (in his Prime)

- Normally I would say that Stannis could easily beat Jon Snow in a sword fight….
- However, I see Stannis pulling a fancy 360º spin move while getting half his jaw bitten off by Ghost from his blind side.
- Just like that guy at the Battle of Castle Black.
- Jon wins. No contest. :D

——————————————————————
Gregor Clegane (The Mountain) vs. Tormund Giantsbane

- The Mountain has the massive Strength & Endurance advantage.
- But Tormund has a lethal Speed & Cunning Advantage.
- Tormund would tuck & roll into striking blows aimed at the joints in The Mountain’s armor…. Tormund wins. Barely.
- But Tormund would take ALOT of punishment to get the victory.
- And the wounds could be fatal a few days later.

——————————————————————
Ramsay Snow vs. Sir Jorah Mormont

- This fight depends on whether or not…. Khaleesi is watching.
- If she is….. Jonah Mormont would go ALL OUT. Jorah wins in a LANDSLIDE.
- If not…. Ramsay would catch Jorah slippin' (or daydreaming about her) imo.

——————————————————————
Yara Greyjoy vs Ygritte

- If they use ranged weapons and kept some distance between them… Ygritte wins easily.
- But if they fight in close quarters combat, Yara puts them paws on her…. Yara Wins.

——————————————————————
Dario Naharis vs. Jaqen Hagar (the Faceless Assassin)

- Battle of the 'sneakiest' fuckers in Westeros.
- This fight depends on who can best predict the other person’s 'sneak attacks' ahead of time.
- Jaqen has more weapons at his disposal, but Dario is real hard to catch off-guard.
- I can’t call it. :dunno:

——————————————————————
Areo Hotah vs. Sandor Clegane (The Hound)

- A serious 'heavyweight' matchup.
- Even though we know the Hound is kinda devastating… I would still put my money on Areo and that BIG ASS AXE.
- Something tells me that guy Areo is 'damn nice with the slice'.
- But that’s just me.

——————————————————————
Jamie Lannister (in his Prime) vs Karl Tanner

- Let’s be honest, this is really Knife Fight.
- If it were just swords… Jaime wins in a runaway.
- But we all know Karl would show show up with 2 daggers... instead of a sword.
- And the level of ’shit-talking’ would be insanely EPIC.
- Jaime still wins... but he won't leave COMPLETELY unscathed. :smh:

——————————————————————
Brienne of Tarth vs. Syrio Forel (with a real sword)

- Call this fight….”Save The Last Water Dance”. :D
- Syrien Forel would have his ‘hands full’ with Brienne.
- But somehow, I just see him eventually slicing her up while Moonwalking at the same time. :dunno:
- Just my opinion.

——————————————————————
Locke vs. Karsi

- Locke gets BOTH his hands chopped off by this savage Wildling chic... in a barrage of 'counter blows'.
- No contest. :smh:
- Talk about irony.

——————————————————————
Thoros of Myr + Anguy + Grenn vs. The Sand Snakes of Dorne

- Grenn plus 5 men of the Night’s Watch defeated a Giant.
- So I think him and these 2 guys could handle these 3 chics.
- My money is on the 'Brotherhood of the Night’s Watch'.

——————————————————————
Meryn Trant vs. Robb Stark

- Meryn gets his wig split by Robb’s Valerian Steel sword. Pronto.
- After Robb puts a few arrows in him from a long distance FIRST, that is.
- Game over.

——————————————————————
Lord Commander Joer Mormont (in his Prime) vs. Roose Bolton (in his Prime)

- I give this battle to Mormont.
- I could see him just choking the hell outta Roose with his bare hands… or putting him in a 'sleeper hold'.
- "Night. Night. Nucca".

——————————————————————
Ser Alliser Thorne vs. Beric Dondarrion (and his Flaming Sword)

- I’d give this fight to Beric.
- Beric chops Thorne’s head off & probably sets him on fire at the same time.
- That way, Beric’s Brotherhood can hold the Wake, then say a few words of prayer AND cremate Alliser Thorne’s body with just a few swings of his sword.

——————————————————————
Ser Rodrick Cassel (in his Prime) vs. Ser Vardis Egan

- I think Old Man Rodrik would split Sir Vardis’ head wide open.
- He just ‘carries it like that’. (Just saying.)
- It wouldn’t even be fair, if he was in his Prime. :smh:

——————————————————————
The Faith Militants vs. The Sons of the Harpy vs. The Gold Cloaks vs. the Wildlings vs the Unsullied

- This battle all depends on the the actual location the fight, imo.

For Example: The Sons of the Harpy would probably Smash the Gold Cloaks in Dorne… but not if they fought in Winterfell - because the Gold Cloaks would fare better in the snow with their armor.

- Each group has advantages in different surroundings.
- The Unsullied have the biggest advantage in open-combat, in large, wide open areas.
- While the Faith Militant & Sons of the Harpy fare better in close-quarters (like back alleys & narrow city streets).
- Also the Sons of the Harpy fight best in warm-weather… but their biggest advantage is…. their ‘element of surprise’.

- But the Wildlings get ‘All-Purpose’ yardage... In Rain, Sleet, or Snow. It matters NOT. :smh:
- Because they play both Offense & Defense…… at the SAME damn time.
- They are deadly with Long Range weapons, or play-action passes, lineman stunts, short-running plays, scrambling, goal-line defense, hail marys, pitch outs, laterals & Blitz plays.

- If a play confuses the defense (or even their own teammates :dunno:)… the Wildlings WILL run it. Trust.

- For them…. 'Sheer Mayhem' is the objective.

- Their goal is to get YOU to ask your wingman shit like: “Did we score? OR should we get back on defense?? Shheeeiiitt…. Who’s winning? How much time is left?? I dunno. Let’s get the FUCK outta here. :dunno:

You nailed my first thought right off the bat with Robert Baratheon vs Khal Drogo.

I don't know who would win, but you know that at some point during that fight Drogo's horse would be catching the business end of Robert's war hammer.

Agreed.

Robert would beat Drogo's horse to death with just 1 or 2 blows.

Ser Barristan would beat Oberyn, especially if you're talking about in his prime,he was considered a once in a generation fighter at the time..Hell,he was Jaime Lannister, before Jaime Lannister....with that said,if Oberyn had poison on his weapons,it will give him some type of advantage.

don't believe those exaggerated stories, knights have their own pr teaming around spreading shit like tmz, look at the unsullied, they are said to be some of the best warriors in the world and look how lame they are.

The Unsullied are measured as soldiers en mass. No one ever said that as a one-on-one fighter The Unsullied are the shit. They are looked at as soldiers in the battlefield. Their weapons on the field of battle are the spear and shield. Everyone else on that list uses close quarter melee weapons such as a sword, hammer or axe.

ned stark in his prime vs. jaime w/ 2 hands and still high off cersei pussy

Would be a quick fight ending with Jaime soaked in blood and pussy juice.

Any reader of the books knows what was about to happen. Ned don't talk about scrappin and Ned don't talk about the mufuckas he's killed. Who'd Ned put down at the Tower before scoopin his nephew? Nuf said.

Karl Tanner vs Ramsay Bolton would be a good fight.
Rules: no armor, knives only, fight to the death.

- We've seen Ramsay put in work with knives on the show more than Tanner. We've only heard about Karl Tanner being a legend on Gin Alley.
- Although Tanner damn near murked Jon Snow. Hell, Jon only got out of that fight because he need the assist from the windling chick.
- I still would give the edge to Ramsay winning, just because he's fucking crazy.

Evil Ramsay vs Azor Ahai? Cmon man. You know it will be interesting but he's going to slow kill that dude. I'll be shocked if he doesn't cut ramsay's skin off in a huge chunk flayed man style halfway through it. That mufucka was raping his lil sister too? Plus who knows what kind of powers he will have besides the one's he's already supposed to be in possession of? You know he has to be able to fight dude that had his arms out like "Why you runnin away homie?".

I think in the books Wreak's lil sister may be the one to serve up Ramsay. That would be hilarious.

**I haven't read this whole thread but I've read all the books including Dunk & Egg and excerpts from the yet to be released, as well as watched all the TV show so pardon me since I am throwing together plot lines from both along the lines of things may play out or how news releases have told us they will as a result of certain scenes being filmed etc. I see yall posting all things GoT and just chiming in. Forgive me if I'm breaking any rules you had set for discussion. I see news containing possible spoilers so I hope Im not fuckin anything up. Just want to participate not cause issues.
