Man I'm loving this controller. It just feels right, the paddles are going to have to take some getting used to but I'm really feeling it so far.
Saw someone said something about people buying the XB Elite kit mainly for the controller.
Not my main concern.. How noticeable are the load times with the TB SSD? Especially in GTA, since that game can move like molasses? I thought about just upgrading the current HD to a SSD, but I need a new controller too, so the $250 trade credit toward a XBE is looking aite to me.

So you trade in your One for 250 towards a new One that is 500. So you're paying 250 for extra HD space, allegedly faster load times and the elite controller.
Debating whether it's worth it or not. The HD space I don't need (I already hooked up an external with 500 GB to my One now) and the elite controller could wait. The solid state/load times is what'll sell me. If it makes GTA and 2K online load better, I'll do that shit before the weekend.

Dude on Reddit did a benchmark on a few XB1 games.. Sunset Overdrive -65% load time over OEM 
.. A 1TB SSD can get kinda pricey tho, but I think just copping one and a Halo controller will work better for me..

It's noticeabley faster. I'm on the old dashboard again and I think that slows some stuff down, but with that being said. GTA loads a lot faster. @ inthemind. I have that media hub. It's nice added another 1TB sshd and now I'm running 2TB off storage. Same as what's in my elite. It snaps right on the side. Only thing I don't like is the button that syncs the controller is iffy after its installed. And as for the console if it wouldn't had been for the game and controller to sweeten it up I probably would have waited just for the controller. I'm still very pleased.

I didn't pull the trigger on that gamestop deal tho cuz I didn't need an extra controller...I have 2 covert forces controller and woulda had to trade one in to get the full $250 credit...and in return they woulda give me the old controller that don't have the updated headphone jack...and they didn't have any free games I was in a rush to get...but now that I'm learning more about that drive

Dude from Reddit measured load times between the standard hard drive in the xb1 and an aftermarket solid state drive in a few games. The SSD performs significantly better..
A better analogy would be our xb1s play like A. Rodgers and Slym's=Cam Newton.

I'm not 100% but seeing how the external runs off of sata 3.0 and the internal runs on sata 2.0 it actually may be faster to run off external ssd
