***THE OFFFICIAL BGOL 2015 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD*** Who you Got?

Folks like to rib the Knicks for the success of Shump and JR on the Cavs but to me the one who has to be feeling like 'man that should have been me', has to be this guy..

He wouldn't buy in

Not realizing that being a role player and vital part of a champion gets people paid(and overpaid all the got damn time)

Then he went to OKC and really didn't play well

He fucked up

Cavs have one advantage over GS and thats LBJ...

Curry and Thompson is a advantage over Kyrie and shumpart; Kyrie will have to guard somebody this series, who?? Shumpart and JR, along with Kyrie, will be running around all day trying to guard them; They will have to exert maximum effort on the defensive end to have a chance of guarding them, which in turn will hurt their offense; How much energy will Curry and Thompson have to use to guard a hurt Kyrie, and a guard who cant create his on shot(shumpart) and a erratic other guard(Jr); Big advantage for GS..

LBJ over Barnes; Big advantage for Cavs; But LBJ will have to help his backcourt mates against curry and thompson because they will not be able to handle them by themselves; Barnes has to stay aggressive and if he does that will be a plus..

Mosgov will not do anything against Bogut; and Thompson all he does is rebounds; Not consistent enough scorer yet; So I give that advantage to Green; And if/when GS goes small both of them will not be able to on the floor; they will have take one of them out; Advantage GS...

Bench, well thats no question its GS; and coaching is definitely GS; GS in 6...

The big problem for the Warriors is that they play almost identical to the Warriors and a lot of gimmicks the use on offense to free their perimeter shooter's failed miserably when the leagues 2nd best three point shooting team tried it on the Cavs.. Plus in spite of their hot shooting, they could easily be down three games to two if the Rockets were able to beat them off the boards..
Now don't get me wrong, Curry can shoots great out no matter who defends him, but in reality he seldom scores over 35 and to beat them all LeBron has to do is score 35ish, and Kyrie 25ish, knowing that Thompson rarely scores over 23. From there on all JR, Shumpert, Thompson and Mazgov have to do is match the scoring of the rest of the team... This should be doable if the Cavs continue to grab the rebounds and push the ball tge other way after miss shots.

Basically if Golden St loses the rebounding game they should lose the game.

All GS has to do is limit JR and Shumpert; thats it; Mazgov and Thompson are not scoring that much; And Curry and Thompson can match LBJ and Kyrie; Series is over!!; Cavs weaknesses on defense is GS strengths; Trust me game will not come down to rebounds; GS limit JR and Shump they win easily!!

I keep telling Road Rage that the Cavs are going into an NBA finals with a bench that consist of James Jones, Delledadova, and Jr Smith. Limit JR and the Warriors win easily

Something up, man.. Hawks dominated Cavs all season then get to the playoffs and get swept??? The numbers don't make sense.

The rushed shots all game, so many missed 3's, shit just don't add up. And the Cavs wasn't even playing that good of defense.

This shit rigged man, just like the superbowl. I'm bout threw w/ pro shit, except baseball. :smh: :itsawrap:

We had a great run, tho. We kilt the east!

This is the first time that they have lost 4 game in a row all season long.

Cleveland shifted into that extra playoff gear. The Hawks did not....not even in the 1st or 2nd round.

Losing Thabo did not help the situation.

Being a young team did not help the situation.

Bud 's questionable rotation choices did not help the situation.

Teague's ankle, Korver's broken nose (ankle), DeMarre's knee, Horford's fingers and Milsap's shoulder were chinks in their armor that led up to this series. It may have taken something out of them mentally......BUT IT SHOULD NOT HAVE. :hmm:

Maybe the team lost its rhythm down the stretch by benching and resting starters...unlike Golden State who let their starters rest in the 3rd/4th quarter.

LeBron is a true leader and he has the heart of a Lion. He can take over a game at any moment and he will not let his team mates think about losing a quarter.....let alone a game.

That is a different Cleveland team out there. 3pt shots falling like rain. Hustling for bounds. I was lucky enough to see the Hawks play the Cavs in the regular season twice and in Game 1 of this series and I don't know what happened either. In Game 1 of this series, I could almost tell instantly once that LeBron grabbed a rebound if he was going to take it coast to coast or not.....he just had that look. I hope that the remaining Hawks learn from this....but at this point I really don't know if they will. Time will tell. I wish LBJ and the Cavs the best of luck and hope that they win it all. Then I would be able to say that the Hawks lost to the Champs at least. :hmm:

Some cats are built to sit on the throne....and some cats are built to bow down to it.

Two of those wins came before the Cavs made the trades for J.R , Shump and Mosgov though.

This is the problem every team faces vs the Cavs, but doing this while helping out in the paint vs LeBron, Irving and trying to fend off Thompson has been impossible for most teams.. Especially with a team that plays so similarly to the Hawks by winning with that small ball crap.. If they decide to go big, Mozgov and Thompson is going to give them trouble, if the go small then then Cavs will crush them , just like they did the Hawks, when then went small.

Why's everyone acting like JR and Shump are playing any different than they played with the Knicks? They've always balled, the only difference is they're now playing with Lebron so they now get noticed.

Really, let me guess, tge aliens deleted all of those post where you picked the Bulls and Hawks to lose..lol

The difference is now they are shooting only when they are open as opposed to trying to be scorers on the Knicks, scores are forced to shoot at a higher volume and are expected to be able to create their own shots even when they are not open.. With the Cavs their shots and shot selection are directly impacted by the situation in the game and how the defense is playing the paint..

I think the Cavs-Warrior series is going to end up like the Heat-Thunder series.

The Heat team that beat the Thunder was 100 times better than this Cavs team and were #1 in defense and points off turn overs..

It's like what GS is now you pretty much got to play perfect to beat them

Bulls barely have 3 wins in the playoffs against LeBron total ( over 11 seasons ) so almost up 3-1 in a series against him would be impossible

How many times has the cavs lost in the playoffs?

We made them better

Right now the Cavs are playing the best defense in the NBA by far especially vs jump shooting teams... If you remember, that last game vs the Warriors they held Curry to 17pts while LeBron smoked them for over 40 in a blow away wire to wire victory when they took their players out the 4th...
If you take out the few games they lost, where they were resting and not giving it 100% (after the trade) you realize that they been playing exactly the way they been this playoffs, they won every game vs the west exept that game vs the Rockets where LeBron missed all his freethrows.. So based on what has transpired so far in the playoffs, I would expect to see the same Cavs team that smoked the Warriors and not the team that dragged their feet, vs a rest Hawk team after a very dense portion of the Cavs schedule..

We'll see, I know Bron will show up the question is will everyone else on that squad will... Totally different when it's for all the marbles

Well the thing with jump shooters is you hope they off that day...

Those type of players won't do anything extraordinary...I think JR should take it to the cup more...just like Danny Green did last year. It's house money that JR finish better but dude love launching from deep in a mudda face.

So I think it's all about which team stays in rhythm. All that other shit might be an even push...

Cats having fun with this Melo shit

The cavs are a jump shooting team TOO.

everybody acts like they're not but they are. Every Lebron led team is a jump shooting team. Lebron drives and then he kicks and they hit their 3's if they don't hit their 3's they don't win period. That is the history of the finals experience with Lebron James.

The key will be turnovers.

Both teams need transition points

The warriors score so many points in the paint.. its how they get all of their runs started. They've been doing it. Watch every playoff game this season. The runs have been points in the paint AND THEN timely 3's

The narrative of them being a purely jump shooting team is completely off. They're not a POST UP TEAM but as we see.. the entire NBA has gone from that shit.
