***THE OFFFICIAL BGOL 2015 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD*** Who you Got?

I'm rooting for Cleveland but honestly the Warriors will win in five.

I have reasons other than basketball I dont want both to win. Steve Kerr bitch ass was handed a ready made team built off MArk Jackson's hard work. I am a huge fan of Curry and the whole team except (cant close my big mouth) Draymond Green and Shun Livingston. For Cleveland, I am a Bron fan but the owner and the recent verdict for the cop acquital got me looking at Cleveland sideways.

It does remind me of when Tampa Bay won the super bowl...Tony Dungy built the team.

Gruden came in,and made his career off of the title:hmm:

White guys always seem to get these great teams...

If Cleveland wins,LeBron carrying another undeserving white man to a title.

And this Russian is less deserving than Spolestra.

Keep Spolstra name out your mouth, he wasn't handed a ready made tream and he been with the Heat organization as the video guy before he sniffed the coaching job.

As for Bron I truly hope he owns part of the Cavs in which it was one of the reasons why he went back.. I'm talking about a 20-30% ownership stake because Dan Gilbert is a piece of shit no superstar shouldn't play for

From the video guy,to being head coach of a team with LeBron,Wade and Bosh....alrighty then:lol:

Didn't know Mark Jackson was the GM and Director of Player Personnel while he was in GS? Learn something new every day... :hmm:

Agree^^...Jackson wasnt the GM and he didnt draft any players, nor was he responsible for personnel decisions; Kerr was handed a solid team (like phil jackson has always) but GS was not this good last year; Kerr put Andre I and D Lee on the bench, not Jackson; Kerr put Barnes and D Green in the starting lineup, not Jackson; Kerr hired great assistants, something that Jackson couldnt or didnt do; So give him credit; Plus GS offense isnt the same and neither is their defense; Its a whole lot better; Kerr gets alot of credit for that...

I still think LBJ would be the face of the NBA even if Curry wins, but Curry will be coming for the crown; Especially if they keep winning; Man Im telling you if GS keeps Green, they will have the NBA on lock for years!!!

LeBron's not the face of the NBA now... Tonights game, count how many commercials LeBron is on and how many Curry is on...

People don't realize, LeBron has been around 12-13 years now... its the circle of life! This is Currys league now, especially with the bullshit they are trying to pin on KD who was the original heir to the 'throne'

I can see that; Curry is special though; IF or When GS wins it, dude is going to be getting paid like Shaq and Jordan was off endorsements...

Yep. Damn shame though, but I do believe the Miami thing and the backlash, as well as the 'story line' are being held against LeBron. Curry, publicly perceived 'good upbringing', father a former player, goodie two shoes type of thing where as you have LeBron, inner city, single mother, absent father, scandal with D West and his moms, the comparisons to Jordan which white america held up as a God, unfortunately work against him Truly, how many players with LeBrons story were ever held up as the 'face' of the league? LeBron was good so early, he was given the crown by default, until a 'new' face talented enough to mask the true intentions came along. LeBron doesn't fit the Leagues narrative... sort of what conspiracy theorist believe caused the Seahawks to pass on that last play instead of letting Marshawn get the game winner... :smh:

Man I don't know if endorsement/commercial should be linked to being the face of the NBA.

I get your view point and everything, I don't disagree about Curry being special. Granted I don't watch much TV, but CP3's State Farm commercials get air often.

No Im not saying that because of endorsements he will be the face; But Endorsements do play a part; Im saying if GS wins they have a very young nucleus that will contend/win for years if they keep them together; Couple that with the "perception" of Curry and how he plays the game; Its all a great combination for him to become the face of the NBA...

he need a better sneaker deal tho if he gone be the face of the league...under armour ain't gone cut it

he should re-up with them and make them give him that couple hundred million dollar deal they were going to give K.D.

if you gonna be the face of under armor you should make more than everybody at nike

pretty much

He will!!!!...watch how those endorsements coming rolling in if GS wins it this year; Remember, Curry has that "look" that whites like; So he will get deals like Tiger Woods and Jordan got, watch!!! Especially if GS keeps winning!

So Houston going home tonight or nah?

If we play like we played Friday we deserve to be home

I don't mind a loss but at least go out on your feet

Friday them dudes laid the fuck down

Some of the most aggravating basketball I've seen from them all year

If scared of wolf don't go in woods...

Funny how a few White folks can make some of you negroes ignore Curry talents and start talking about him being a mutt. Some of you are even SUBCONSCIOUSLY hoping that he doesnt win a title because he's a hybrid??

....lol....:smh:

Please kill yourselves.

you aint lying about this shit right here.

But once GS does win the title...watch how much props Kerr is gonna get. The media is gonna be on his nuts HEAVY. I wanna see if SAS sticks up for his boy Marc after GS wins the title...or is he gonna jump on the Kerr bandwagon.

nike tried to low-ball him, so he did a deal with UA. and his shoes are selling pretty good. the now generation accepts that non-traditional brand of shoe

I ain't see nobody rocking them pockmarked shoes

me either, but somebody is buying them. like I said, these younger cats are not tied into traditional legacy brands. :dunno:

Looking at Under Armour's first quarter earnings, it seems that Curry already made an impact. Footwear sales were up 41.1% compared to the first quarter of last year, by far the largest jump among Under Armour's most important product categories.
Footwear sales were driven by the well-timed introduction of the Curry One, Curry's first signature basketball shoes. It is interesting to see the trend of Under Armour's footwear sales in the upcoming quarters. Considering Curry's recent performance and MVP award, it is very likely that sales growth will expand even further.

So, I am very optimistic about Under Armour's potential in the basketball shoes market. Considering that Under Armour currently has a low single-digit market share, the growth potential is enormous. In my opinion, basketball shoes sales will remain the number one growth driver for Under Armour in the United States in the years to come. On the other hand, investors should take notice of the company's pricey valuation trading at 55.5 times next year's earnings per share (source: Yahoo! Finance) compared to Nike's 26.5 times next year's earnings per share. Strong growth seems to come with an expensive price. Therefore, investors should consider their own research before making an investment decision.

black star power!

Curry’s sensational rise is precisely the platform Under Armour has been waiting for to launch its attack on the basketball market. Teaming up with Oscar winning actor and musician Jamie Foxx, a long time brand advocate of Under Armour, the company has announced its biggest ever global brand campaign, The Book of Will. Foxx, who will star in a series of commercials along side Curry is also the campaign’s creative director.

“We’ve had a relationship with Jamie since 1998 when he was filming the movie ‘Any Given Sunday’ and we knew he was the right creative partner to help bring Stephen’s journey and the underdog message to life,” said Kevin Plank, Under Armour Founder and CEO. “He understands what it means when athletes will themselves to make something happen, and – like creating a legacy in Hollywood or taking the NBA by storm — a lot of times that means rewriting the book and creating your own path.”

yeah I fuck with Golden state but that's a reason I wouldn't want them to win it right now..I can't take the ballwashing that media will perform with Kerr from now til infinity if they win..

I'm leaning towards rooting for Lebron and Cleveland to finally win a championship for that poor cursed sports city, he ain't got much time left to do it

Ima Need houston to show something and win tonight, but after that last game I got no hope :smh:

LeBron, Cavaliers limping their way toward NBA Finals

May 25th, 2015by Associated Press in National SportsRead Time: < 1 min.

Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James falls to the floor as time expires in their game against the Atlanta Hawks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals of the NBA basketball playoffs, Sunday, May 24, 2015, in Cleveland. INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) - LeBron James says he won't allow his sore body to slow his drive toward another NBA Finals.

Beaten down by injuries and another grueling season, James has the Cavaliers one win from the Eastern Conference title. On Monday, a day after his 37 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists lifted Cleveland to a Game 3 overtime victory against Atlanta, James was noticeably tired.

He wore a wrap on his right calf and the four-time league MVP says he's been undergoing "round-the-clock" treatment.

James returned to Cleveland after four seasons with Miami and says leading the Cavs has been his biggest challenge. The Cavs are without Kevin Love for the playoffs and have played the past two games without All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving.

Coach David Blatt says Irving remains a game-time decision for Game 4.

at least Houston has started the game like they wanna win.....lets see if they can keep it up for 4 quarters.
