***THE OFFFICIAL BGOL 2015 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD*** Who you Got?

Sure they can.

Rockets shooters normally play much better at home.

Rockets came back form 19 down in the 4th and Harden didn't even play. If Smith, Brewer and Terry shoot better, they won't need Harden to score 40. Harden hasn't been going off for most of the playoffs and they've advanced.

BTW, Steph has averaged over 30 points per game and they have won by 4 points and 1. I'm not so sure GS can win if he doesn't have a big game.

You right but I trust Thompson, Green and Barnes to carry some of the scoring slack if Steph struggles than I do Josh Smith, Jason Terry and Corey Brewer to carry the slack when Harden struggles.

I agree with that.

We'll have to see what happens.

I do know, the Rockets have held GS to 104 and 99 points. No one thought they would be able to do that.

They have to keep that up.

I was upset with the game 1 loss because Ariza had a good game. You can't waste those because having a output like that from a 3rd person besides the usual harden/Howard is rare.

But overall, I don't feel as if either team has played their best game, just Oakland has been able to make the right plays at the right time to pull out the victory.

Definitely need some home cookin' here...

If scared of wolf don't go in woods...

Great game last night. Why Harden passed it to Howard on that last possession is beyond me. I was certain he was going to go to the rack.

Bones....what that Bull life like?

I remember you said without Love, Cavs couldn't do the Bulls in. Do I have to go look up those bet posts....
Man don't even take the time...long as a Chicago ninja winning he's good...

Don't matter if it's the PA announcer, towel boy, beer man etc....

I think GSW has gotten a lot of favorable officiating to be honest

But the rockets need to execute a lil better....if they had they could have stolen one of these games

Harden is giving Klay thompson that work tho

Nah nobody gets a pass, cause when the heat was making those finals runs 4 years straight mofos on this board told us stop bitchin bout calls when we saw with out own eyes how the refs was swallowing the whistle and allowing the other team to play dirty

Series
Fouls: Houston-38
G.S.-40

Fts: Houston - 47
G.S. - 35

Not really sure how G.S. Is getting favorable officiating outside of the fact that the refs aren't letting Harden bulldoze people on his drives and giving him 15 foul shots a game... Outside of that Houston actually seems to have a slight advantage with the officiating...

They caught on to that shit.. Nigga drive the lane throwing elbows and stay using the forearm to push off.. That's his bread and butter.. Take that away and he's forced to actually play and the funny thing is he goes ham when he does but when he's on that jail ball shit refs get caught thinking he's actually the one being fouled when it's really him committing the offensive fouls

The final foul total doesn't actually tell the difference 'during' the game. I'm not saying that's was the case for last nights game, but there have been many of times the refs have favored a team in foul calls through three quarters and made up for the difference with bullshit ticky-tack fouls in the 4th.

No doubt but my follow up is, the basic issue, especially for Rockets fans is the fact that Harden isn't being paraded to the line. There a fine line between who initiates contact and I like the fact that for the sake of the flow of the game the refs are letting them play. It's great to see games decided during actual game play, instead of seeing guys end up with 30 pts with only 6 fgs made. Any team, especially the ones on the short end, will eventually have an issue with and segment calls to validate their points. This series has been called fairly IMO and I'm not a fan of either team, just players...

Yep... and the Warriors could bitch about the number of times he runs over people with no call... just like that charge call on Curry when Brewer was late sliding over. Refs have been consistent in this series, GS has just made the big plays when they had to and Houston hasnt...

this is also true

I will say this much tho.....if GSW ends up meeting the Cavs in the finals...if they made the mistakes they have in this series against Cle this series would have been split at worst

I don't disagree with any of what you're saying.

But this, along with a couple other posts (I think BDR made) show that officiating inconsistency has begun to become noticed on a larger scale.

So you've gone thru the entire season allowing Harden to play this type of ball, then in the playoffs, the WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS in the playoffs, you decide "you know what James Harden? We're not falling for your shit this time. You aren't getting these calls."

For as long as I've watched basketball and posted in these threads, this is the first time in a long time where it has been multiple members who are fans of different teams say that officiating has been horribly inconsistent.

And before y'all start I'M IN NO WAY COPPING A PLEA! WE ARE DOWN 0-2 AND I'M HOPING WE DON'T GET SWEPT. We've got to get a 3rd scorer our the bench has to show up BIG in order for us to win.

These ain't the clippers :smh:

That soft baked nigga who u call Chris Bosh would have feasted on the Rockets roster but that ain't the case

And another thing Terry seriously need to stop yappin that shit at Curry because he got BBQ'ed 2 games in a row, he should know at this point Curry ain't the dude to jaw at

Houston v ERRBODY :hmm:

He only soft baked cuz he ain't with the rockets. If he was he'd be the hardest 4 in the game right now.

It's cool tho because Morey got cap space, draft picks, movable contracts, and young talent at his disposal. We have everything in place to get better at the 4 and at point.

Barkley and others like to give Dork Elvis a hard time but he hasn't had a losing record in his tenure as GM and each year we've been in discussions to land a major player in the off season or at the trade deadline.

As far as Terry he need to hit a consistent J before he get to yapping at Curry.

Dude jumper is just as broke as Ariza's :smh:

You uppercase text has me rolling! Dudes on here will have you posting with trepidation won't they?

And to your point, the refs have actually been very consistent in this series.... they've consistently not rewarded Harden for running over niggaz and for having the best stiff arm outside of Marshawn Lynch so.... :dunno:

Truthfully, brotha, as long as I ever played organized basketball, you still have to play through the whistle. My basketball coach told me one time that in order to negate bad or unfair officiating in a game is to make a high level of shots or just bust the other teams ass. Easier said than done, but my point is that the refs has little control in the ball going through the hoop.

The same thing happen to Harden last year. He goes through the entire season getting calls, but that bullshit stops during the playoffs. Now the league has spoiled him and he has to adjust his game. Watching him play last night without going to the line 15 times was gratifying because I actually got to see his game.

As far as the officiating of this series, nothing about it screams at me as unfair. Yeah there are some bad calls, but they just have to play through it because 99% of the time the refs ain't going to change the call.

On point post as usual big guy!

he was doubled. he made the right play it just happened to be howard and the warriors recognized it was howard and he wasn't going to do shit with it from the 3 point line and kept the double on harden.

the officiating has been inconsistent on BOTH SIDES

nobody is saying the refs are good

they're bad for BOTH SQUADS

Yes he did get doubled, but from I can remember, he allowed himself to get double teamed. He should have continued pushing the ball and bulldoze his way through traffic like he usually do. He we slowed down his pace, Klay and Curry jumped on him. Plus he passed the ball up with like 2.5 seconds left on the clock. He was trying to make the right play at the wrong time.
