Yeah looking at the replays, he really didn't/wouldn't have any room to drive, and the numbers weren't there. I think he panicked a bit tho. I would have liked to at least see him take the timeout right there. No way you're gonna keep your handles with curry and Thompson swarming around you like that.
again, the playoffs don't REALLY start until the home team loses a game.
while the warriors fans are VERY HAPPY with these two wins... these two wins are expected.
WHAT NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT IS HOW WELL HOUSTON PLAYED BOTH GAMES... there was NO blowout. the rockets showed a LOT of heart and could have easily won BOTH of these games.
and to me, that should put the warriors on notice.
but then again, this all means nothing if houston can't hold serve in the toyota center.
Rockets have to win at home. Need this series extended for the sake of Kyrie's wheels...

What happens if Harden has a bad game???
he played better because he didn't get the calls. he actually tried to score the ball and he did. that's a huge difference in his game.

Yea. But I dont think he panicked at all tho. He was about to be trapped in the corner so he threw it to the trailing big to reset. But neither respected Howard and they just cheated back to him and trapped him immediately.
It was just great defensive awareness man.

GS let the Rockets back in this one; They kinda played stupid down the stretch and Steve Kerr is to blame for that; Rockets had an opportunity to steal that one; If GS plays smarter, I just dont see how the Rockets can win this series...

at the same time outside of steph the warriors and their 3's haven't been dropping either.
they're doing their damage in transition and going to the paint. a few timely 3's isn't close to what they're capable of shooting wise.
now role players play better at home than on the road so maybe we'll get a josh smith houston sighting and not the atlanta-detroit josh that's been so far in this series.
Here's the thing, when you trap a good passing team, like GS, all they have to do is attack the basket; Houston doesnt rotate well on defense as it is, if they trap, GS will get layups after layups on top of all the open look jumpers they get; Nope, I wouldnt trap..
Dwight should have called timeout as soon as he got the ball.
Rockets made a ton of mistakes too. It's been two good games.
The difference in this series has been coaching. All the main players except for Thompson have come up big, but the Warriors have made better adjustments after big runs. This series is going to come down to coaching, and which role players step up. It was rolls gold to expect Smith and Brewer to play like they did the last 3 games against LAC because the Warriors are a much better defensive team. harden has to get going early and make the Warriors adjust to him early which will open things up for the role players. They need more from their PGs and I would start Jones over Josh because he stays doing dumb shit.

They trapped on that last play and Barnes missed a layup because of Dwight.
I'd trap and let GS shoot over Dwight.
I won't put that on Howard coaches can call timeout from the sidelines. if they wanted a timeout McHale could've done so
GS can still win if steph has one, Rockets cant if Harden does; And thats the difference in this series;

Rockets shooters normally play much better at home.
Rockets came back form 19 down in the 4th and Harden didn't even play. If Smith, Brewer and Terry shoot better, they won't need Harden to score 40. Harden hasn't been going off for most of the playoffs and they've advanced.
BTW, Steph has averaged over 30 points per game and they have won by 4 points and 1. I'm not so sure GS can win if he doesn't have a big game.

If you have a shot blocker protecting the rim, it's not dudes missing open layups.
If I can take Curry out the game, especially with Klay struggling, I'll do it.
I'd make Barnes and Green beat me.

dudes were in here screaming "blow out" before the first game.
but houston was right there in the end... just like with this game.

They will get layups on top of layups; The trap only worked because GS was trying to run out the clock; Also the rockets cant take Curry out the game; not happening;
If Steph has a bad game......they'll have a loss. If the Harden has a bad game.......they'll have 3 LOSSES. Harden can't afford to have a bad game at this point. He's gonna have to put up 30+ and pray that Klay is still struggling from the field.
That's why it was so important for the Rockets to take one of these games. And they had every chance to. Now you have to win 2 in a row when you haven't won 1 yet.
But Rockets have been in this series. HAven't embarrassed themselves at all much to my surprise.
