Android 5.0 Lolipop Sucks major D

I know most of you are probably running this bullshit. I should have never updated. My alarm doesn't go off anymore, I dont get notifications unless I unlock my phone..I can't control my music from the lock screen like I use to...it runs hella slow and freezes every fucking half hr..

I have literally restarted my phone about 10 times since last Saturday...and I never use to have to restart it for anything...

Yup!..the notifications don't even pop up until about a minute after I unlock my phone and start doing something else. I know it should have came in earlier based on the time stamp on the notification...I'm talking a whole 45 min + earlier...

About an hr ago, someone called me while I was on the phone and I couldn't even click over ..shit was just stuck..never had that happen on the previous version.

when you go into Sounds and Notification, you dont see "When device is locked"? If not, its not an android issue, but a Samung issue, because i see it on my devices. Asus and LG

you have Note? If not, i wouldnt worry about it. The problems the OP is describing are specific to samsung devices. These issues do not exist on my nexus 5 and mexus 7. I get notifications on my lock screen and can control music from it. without having to unlock.

^^^ My 2.5 year old Nexus 4 is running smooth as ever. Updated to 5.0 in Nov and went to 5.1 when the images were released a few days ago

5.0 is smooth as fuck on my OnePlus and even on a Moto G I purchased for my mom and that is not the highest end hardware. 5.1 addresses some bugs, but the performance has been great for me.

Touchwiz is heavy and usually only remains smooth with the original version of Android the phone came with. Most skins don't upgrade well at all. I'd bet if you flash a stock rom, you'd notice a huge difference

Yeah that's Samsung and how Lollipop works with Touchwiz

Google gives Lollipop to Samsung, and they're responsible for tweeking it for Touchwiz. Then they give it to Verizon, AT&T....

Changed my settings to hide sensitive content and now it's working.

I have absolutely no complaints at all now that I can change music from the lock screen.

i have no issue controlling music from the lockscreen on my nexus 6 or my moto x 2014.
