Did I say it sounds like Dre? I was referring to him transitioning from a lyrical style to more avant garde at a quicker turn than it took Andre3000 (who's an obvious influence on Kdot).

The song is like a Cali-Luv pt 2 but on a more subtle tip. K.Dot skipped the Dre sound and went with that other West Coast sound some might know as Dj.Quik funk. It's classic Quik but on a modern hip hop rhythm. Also, peep how Kendrick incoporated that other WEST COAST lyricist/style Suga Free.into this JAm..
