its clear this season. if the call is close they are going to make sure they enforce it on us.
kap can't turn the ball over 4 times. he killed us tonight. we didn't run the ball. they still haven't stopped gore and we never even tried to get hyde going.

That was a perfect pass. Crabtree hesitated on the route and even then he should have caught that pass. Now the game was on kap but that play was a touchdown play Crabtree absolutely has to catch that ball and if he hadn't stopped running it would have been an EASY completion for a chance to tie the game with a 2 point conversion

you're just being an eyore right now. it would have been moot if roman just lined up and ran the ball right at the bears in the red zone and scored touchdowns. if he would have just lines up and made them play run and then pass it to vd for the play action fake like we did last week. those are bread and butter plays. you need to score 28 points not leave 2 touch downs on the field.
There is a thin line between the best teams in the NFL and the worst, often its confidence and little things that makes the difference.. Psychologically weak teams always give up big plays many of the quite spectacular, while betta dog teams always come with in a inch of winning.. Shit the Jets came with in a inch of beating the Packers but at the end wound up losing exactly like us!!!Game on the line....

To shake that betta dog tag we have to start finishing opponents instead of trying to run out the clock, because when you do that you lose your intensity and become susceptible to big plays, bone head plays, clock management, and injury, all the shit that happens to us, all the time..
Im telling you I was saying the same thing about the Heat last year, during the regular season.. Back then folks was like, don't worry they do it every year and turn it on in the playoffs... For a while I actually thought they were right, but everything I warned them about happen to a T vs the Spurs..
Right now we need to be much disciplined, how about a no huddle offense, what happen to all those secret spred offenses Roman was supposed to be saving for the regular season? I called bullshit then and I am calling it now! Right now we need to change our approach to the game, and if Roman is part of the process, then his ass has to go too!

he is the problem.
he cannot call a game and he cannot get the red zone correct.
kap shouldn't have been running at all today. gore and hyde should have had 30 carries between them.
but this is roman and this is what he does.
Because as soon as we get a lead, Kaep is told not to lose the game... And that means no forcing the passes, instead tuck the ball and run, and no dangerous deep passes and if shit hits the fan, throw the ball out of bounds..
The problem is when the opponents start losing they start taking more risk, knowing we won't challenge them deep and make them pay for their risky play..
The more conservative we play, the more tighter the defense gets, allowing them to defend both the run and the short plass game, at the same time.. As long as we continue to ignore the deep threat, this is what teams are going to do to us..
i don't get it either!!..we are a run first offense!!..we shouldn't be passing the ball like we doing now!!..we need to run the ball alot like we use too!!
Or some kinda bracket coverage...... simliar to how Seattle did Crabtree last year.
i don't even think it's that he's told to not lose the game. i believe they shut the offense down completely. that is a coaching philosophy that has extended beyond the current quarterback
so has the abandonment of a very good running game and the defensive coordinator being stubborn.
marshall is moving to the slot to get the shorter guy. why not give him support?
cause then that would just make sense. marshall is one of the biggest wr's in the nfl and he's allowed to post up... ward did his best no db would be stopping that.. none. so we can try to blame him but it's not him.

but the offense killed us and the pass rush was non existent.

Opponents be baiting us to fools gold... What they do is drop the safeties back at the beginning of the game, and then our running game is great.. Then they creep up getting tighter and tighter..
Instead of adjusting, we play it safe by throwing the same tight coverage passes to VD, Boldin or Crabs... Basically they all have the same range and if you cover one you basically are covering them all and on top of that, you this pack defense allows you to cover the short pass rout while defending against the run and the qb scramble..
What they need are plays to offset what the defense is doing..
If the were to throw a real bomb, not a deep slant or a deep hitch, but a play that forces deep help by the safties... Once we start doing that shit, defenses would have to loosen up and the same running results we get at the beginning of the game should be there for us at the end of the game..
Just look how the Bears ground game open up once they got smart and started attacking down field..

Jonathan Martin can't pass block.
Why didn't Anthony Davis get surgery sooner, so he would not miss games.
What happened to Iupati, he can't block anyone for shit.
Iupati needs to be benched.
Fangio keeping Ward on Marshall was fucking retarded.
And rookie step your game up please.
No pass rush, no sense of urgency, no discipline on defense.
Like I said before during the preseason...the pass rush is almost non-existent !!!
Also the coverage was not good during the 2nd half.
Giving the Bears WR's too much cushion, thanks to our soft zone prevent defense

He kept on running read option plays, when the Bears clearly were ready for it this week
Just b/c the Bills had success last week, Roman just kept doing it over & over
He still can't get plays in on time and is abysmal in the redzone
Purposely settling for field goals in the red zone instead of TD's
Despite what others think on here, RoadRage is correct....
When he said i hope they don't think they're just going to "flip the switch" when the season starts.
We do need the preseason to work out the kinks.
FOR ANOTHER WEEK.....this team has been very sloppy & undisciplined

NO killer instinct or willingness to be aggressive and take chances.
Until our offense develops a killer instinct, we're not winning a 6th Super Bowl.
We don't have a good enough defense right now to be conservative on offense.
What's the point of having all those weapons if you're scared to use them in the redzone.
You dont wait until the post season to do this stuff, you do it now so that your offense is more comfortable in do or die situations in January.
This is one of the big differences between us & Pete Carroll & the Seahawks
