Marcus Martin (per source) has dislocated kneecap
Rookie Marcus Martin to miss eight weeks

The 49ers must sit eight players each week, and it’s conceivable that they don’t make any moves with Martin. They also could place him on injured reserve, which will end his season, or on injured reserve with a designation to return. The latter would allow him to come back in the second half of the season.

Veteran nose tackle Glenn Dorsey, however, also is a candidate for IR with a designation to return after suffering a biceps tear Aug. 1. Teams only can choose one player for that designation and must assign it on Sept. 2.

Marcus Lattimore expects to be put on NFI list to start the season

Team doctors remain wary of the knee injury Lattimore suffered in October 2012 at South Carolina.

:(:(:(

Extreme caution. I'm hearing he's doing intense drills so its not that his knee isn't better, he's just not 100% and they're not going to rush him not even in the slightest.

especially since hyde has emerged, no reason to kill his career before it starts.

But Gabbert is STILL on this team

I actually think Gabbert makes the final 53 man roster
The coaches traded a 6th rd pick + they have to pay his base salary of $2 million
They will probably try & save face, and Gabbert will be the backup... unfortunately !!!

What would be smart, is to pick up one of Seattle's backups like Pryor or BJ Daniels
Whichever one gets cut

Side note: I actually thought that WR David Reed made some plays in the preseason
But our WR spot is already crowded, so oh well

I HIGHLY doubt Seattle let's Pryor go, but if they do, Baalke/York get a chance to prove how serious they are.. He'd instantly be better than every quarterback on our roster not named Colin & he can give us crucial Seattle info.

we don't need seattle info but we do need 3 black qb's

Can't hurt to have an In on they plans...

But anyway, Blaine makes Pryor and Daniels look like Randall Cunningham & Warren Moon. I just absolutely hate this guy and hate that he's on our team.. I hate him more than I hate Richard Sherman... Atleast I can respect Sherms game, Gabbert is biggest bust in the last 10 years by far.

dont disagree

You have to remember that the staff has familiarity with Gabbert since his college days. They see something in him that they THINK they can work with. Seeing as how they traded for him and Johnson is not outplaying him he'll remain on the team.

However, we saw how Baalke handle the situation last season. We ended up with 4 different backup QB's. We could be looking at the same thing this season.

Why are people acting like the sky is falling with the 49ers offense...

I thought the starting offense did pretty good when the Broncos played yall...

They fixing to spank my Texans come Thursday.....

We that GET RIGHT team..... As in, you come play us and everything ailing you will suddenly get right

I’m just out here working hard every single day, just trying to be the best poster I can be....

We are missing the entire side of the line. frank gore and carlos hyde have about 10 carries between them boldin and crab have about 25 snaps in 3 games...

we are worried about getting to the season healthy.

we're going to shock the shit out of people. just like they felt the defense was going to regress.. we play majority of our starters and magically everything is ok.

just watch and see...

top 5 offense and defense.

Nah man our 2's and 3's been playing against 1's up until the charger game. nobody mentions that.

when they talk on espn or nfl network about what's wrong with the offense.. they don't mention an entire side is missing and we've been giving our starters limited action.. extremely limited action.

but it's not cool to report the truth about the 49ers its cool to try and shit on em

We still got the most depth in the league and are showing everybody that.

wait until crab boldin stevie ellington hyde gore davis and macdonald play for 4 quarters

then come holla at me about our offense.

Why are people acting like the sky is falling with the 49ers offense...

1) As LBOP said. The coaches are concerned with starting the season healthy. We've been hit by injuries already. Definitely don't need anymore.

2) Most people are just looking at the stats. Not playing time, play calls or personnel. I'll be you $100 bucks you haven't heard one mention of the fact that Boldin, Crabtree & Johnson haven't been on the field at the same time.

3) Most people don't know what they are talking about. Prime example, Joe Buck & Troy Aikman constantly talked about the offensive line during the Chargers game. Mentioning how missing the Boone and Davis is a real problem. However, the pressure and breakdowns was coming from Staley & Uipati's side. Uipati even man'd up this week and said he played like crap.

You have to remember were in a headline grabbing world. Talking the truth isn't good enough for reporters & analyst (and I use those terms loosely). It's the same way they are talking about Shawn Hill being a GOOD THING in St. Louis. Now go ask any knowledgable 49er or Lions fans about Hill and you'll get the truth.

Before this week it was "Is the 49ers defense taking a step back?" However, with starting front 7 out there vs. the Chargers showing what they can do that's been muted. Now its "Is the offense in trouble?"

All I heard the past few days on ESPN and the NFL Network is that the 49ers offense is in trouble and all this....Im like its only the dayum preseason....

Some analysts are saying the 49ers will be third in that division...Im like really...:smh::smh:

Like I said,after the Broncos game,yall offense will be top 5,definitely top 10 this season....I want a 49ers/Broncos Superbowl rematch....:lol::lol::lol:

Its seems like everybody wants a Patriots/Seahawks Superbowl....:hmm:

Top 5 easy. they would rather make a story than be fair or balanced. Once we unleash these weapons Im not trying to hear none of these analyst tap dance back on what they said. In trouble with limited action in the preseason?

We don't always get what we want though.
sb 49 is for the 49ers

Vic Fangio was interviewed in the 49ers’ auditorium Tuesday afternoon.

I love listening to Fangio because he will tell you staright up what the deal is.... unlike Harbaugh who gives you the politically correct rah rah answers

Question....
"There’s that touchdown and there’s the one against the Denver Broncos. S Craig Dahl was the closest in coverage but how much of it, too, was the linebacker not dropping deep enough on both of those plays? "

Answer....
Well, the one against Denver, we didn’t play correctly and Craig was one of the main culprits of not playing it correctly from a schematic standpoint. :smh: That’s why the guy looked so wide open at that time. It wasn’t such of a physical beating as it was we didn’t play the play correctly. And the one on Sunday, Craig got a little too far outside. :smh: He had a tough assignment on that play. He got a little bit too far outside and got beat inside. We could’ve given him a little bit more help underneath but on that particular play, he’s going to have to play that one.”

Question....
So the first one wasn’t LB Chris Borland?

Answer....
“No.”

Question...
Has LB Michael Wilhoite proven that he’s ready to be your Week 1 starter or do you need to see more out of him Thursday night?

Answer...
Well, he hasn’t proven that yet totally, but we’ll wait to after Thursday. Give these younger guys a good, healthy dose of snaps and see if they can make some progress. We’re confident in Mike and we think he’ll do fine in there like he did last year in those couple games he played.”

partially right.

it didn't look like it was culliver's responsibility and it wasn't

wasn't fully borland's either but either way it went dahl was supposed to cut that down. he was looking for help when he's the damn safety.. he is the help

The Fangio interview echoes what we said during the games. Dahl was beaten. For whatever the reason (coverage, technique, etc). There's a reason why Jimmy Ward, a rookie, is #3 on the depth chart and he is #4.

ALRIGHT

let's do real time evaluations on the players

keeping in mind this is vanilla scheme

let's see overall technique and skill knack for the ball and people that can contribute right now and too good to try and hide on the ps.

2nd & 3rd stringers right out the gate in the game.

yup cept williams cause he needs the reps.

like was lemon is doing so far.. 1st snap was in there.

morris gotta get better in coverage. he's been giving shit up all preseason. makes no sense to be that fast and trailing everybody. get that technique right young man

Same for us.... It's time for these guys to compete for their professional career

I’m just out here working hard every single day, just trying to be the best poster I can be....
