I also wanna hear more about the video footage they're supposed to have from that witness...it's mind boggling how they're suppressing this shit...I would like to see if they face any consequences from this when all is said and done...I know lawyers have already filed suit against them

All I got to say is if the name they mention tomorrow is the one they were denying earlier they are BEYOND FUCK when trying to present their case. All of them about to go down trying to protect one of their murderous own.

The "leader" is the just figure head, not the commander. Someone we know we can depend on to be there when nothing is going on to continue on with real positive change without an agenda.
No more, no less.
Everybody has a voice, everybody gets stuff for the collective of us we just need a true organization to house the other organizations so that we no longer fight against each other for scraps... and we all push forward as a unit even if we have different tasks we want to get accomplished.

It is a red herring and a false one. We've had this discussion numerous times on BGOL. If a black person shoots another black person and the shooter is known to law enforcement, they are picked up. Hell if you are even suspected or fitting the description of the shooter, you are picked up. There was one incident I read about a long time ago, where cops had black men lined up in a mall, of all shapes, sizes, shades, and hair (fades, dreds) because a local crime had taken place and they "fit the description". The people of Ferguson and black people across the nation are mad because the shooter is known, and because he is white/in an authority position, he is being protected and not brought to justice. This probably isn't the thread for it, but I'll leave you with a few quotes from a previous discussion asking why blacks don't speak out on black deaths:

and recruit from people who live in the area.
that should be a requirement really. if you don't live within 15 miles of where you call yourself policing, you can't police there.

Well, there's a presence online but how long does stories like this last in the public conscience? What's the point if the established power structure stays in place? I don't want to be a Buzzkill, but what's the point if the people of Ferguson don't vote nor pressure those in power perpetuating this to step down? Hell, even the President, who had a platform of ending police brutality when he was a state senator, wants this to go away. We speak of long term solutions throughout this thread, but how focused are the people of Ferguson on the long term if they're taking their victory lap now?
