mass-effect-cover.jpg

New information about the next Mass Effect game has been shared at BioWare’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con. You can check out a quick recap below, courtesy of Twitter users Andrea Rene and Nerd Appropriate.

 • The next Mass Effect has a “Spiritual Successor” vibe.
 • Frostbite 3 allows the animation team to do things they “couldn’t even imagine before.”
 • Speaking of customization, the team wants to give players as much choice as possible.
 • It’ll be set during Shepard’s life time, but won’t involve him/her. It’s a completely new story.
 • Cooperative multiplayer is more important for BioWare than competitive.
 • Some of the characters from old games may make an appearance.
 • It’s too early to announce composers and races available to the players.
 • The mako will return, and it’s very fast.
 • The game isn’t titled Mass Effect 4, at least for now.
 • No release window was provided during the panel.
Below you can see renders of the returning Mako and of the armor for the hero in male and female versions.

eh...we saw how this ends for everyone, we dont need to revisit this period of time.
Pretty much nothing this "new Shepard" does is going to be/feel as important/epic. A bigger threat then the reapers?
What could be more important than that right now?

Sounds like a spinoff, to which we again, know how it ends. To which you really dont even have any input honestly.
Lets just move on please.

Assassin’s Creed Unity: Check Out 8 Minutes of Xbox One Gameplay Showing Combat, Stealth and More

ACUnityArno-1-670x376.jpg

The Xbox One version of Assassin’s Creed Unity was demonstrated live at the Xbox booth at San Diego Comic Con and Youtuber Geeky Castillo filmed the on-stage demo, which included a single assassination mission.

The video gives an extensive view on gameplay, including combat, the new stealth mode, the seamless transition between interiors and exteriors, and even a huge crowd of 5,000 people observing an execution.

While the footage is filmed off-screen, and the resolution of the video is a bit low, it’s definitely good enough to see that gameplay has evolved radically from previous titles, and tho perceive that the game looks great.

i bet like the first third of ME4 is set during the Reaper War and it turns out that there IS some way to change the ending, then the rest of the game takes place a few years later in the"new region of space" they mentioned in the E3 preview

My money is on ME4 being about discovering more about where the Reapers came from then getting a clue that Shepard is alive. ME5 is the search for Shepard. ME6 is the return of Shepard (because fans "demanded" it), to fight the creators of The Reapers/Catalyst to defeat this vicious cycle once and for all.

what someone wrote on Bioware ME forum..i'd be surprised if they going with this concept

My thought:

While Shepard and Co., are trying to stop the Reapers, "Your Hero" and Co. are working on plan B; i.e., mass exodus from this galaxy. Preservation of life and civilization is a top priority. To put all eggs in one basket would be foolish. I am willing to bet that the story will involve "Your Hero" and Co. trying to find a way out of the Milky Way in case things go pear shaped. You'll be bouncing around the galaxy trying to find tech and resources to achieve that.

The game will end as a large contingent of the various civilizations escape the Milky Way during the end game of ME3. I imagine the final scene going like this:

Your Hero will land on a planet, exit the ship and look out at the horizon...similar to that scene with Joker at the end of ME3, yeah? :)

Your Hero will gaze out into the unknown galaxy from the bridge of some huge ship, staring at some awesome looking planet and moons.

I think the tone of the ending will be something like, "here we are...now what"?

Since Destroy is the real ending, I hope they find a way to save EDI at least.

What is EA Access?
EA Access is a new program for Xbox One gamers that lets you play the best of EA for as low as $4.99 a month. Members can binge on an assortment of awesome games in The Vault, a handpicked selection of great Xbox One games from EA. EA Access members also have the opportunity to try new games five days before the release date, and enjoy 10% discounts on EA digital download purchases, including full games, downloadable content and in-game currency. Conditions, limitations and exclusions apply.

How do I join EA Access?
EA Access membership is available to Xbox One gamers through Xbox Live. You will soon be able to sign up through the EA Access Hub app after downloading it to your console.

Where else can I purchase an EA Access membership?
Coming soon, GameStop fans will be able to purchase an EA Access membership at their local GameStop retail store. In the UK, gamers will also be able to purchase their membership through GAME stores.

How much does EA Access cost?
Membership in EA Access has been priced affordably at $4.99 per month, but you can save even more: $29.99 for a full year.

When does EA Access go live?
You’ll be able to become an EA Access member this summer. We’ll announce the launch day soon. Stay tuned!

What is The Vault?
The Vault is an evolving selection of EA's Xbox One games that EA Access members can download and play while an active member. During the beta, gamers will have unlimited access to four great EA games: Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, Peggle 2 and Battlefield 4, with more titles being added soon.

What will the pre-release trials include? Will my progress carry over?
Each game is different, so each game’s trial will be, too. In some titles you’ll be able to play one of the game's modes for a limited time, while other times you can jump right into the full game. And since you’ll always be playing the real game, any progress you make will carry over so you can pick up where you left off on launch day.

Who can become an EA Access member?
EA Access is available to all Xbox One owners in supported territories.

Will EA Access be available in my country?
At launch, EA Access will be available in Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States with additional territories to follow.

How much is this EA access going to be?

Sent from my Nexus 7

$5 a month or $30 a year. I'm doing $5 option to test it. Fifa is being glitchy when I try to start a game. Kicks me out and game resets. I already own Peggle. Waiting for Battlefield and madden to download. The glitch is weird since it's not streaming. It's a digital download.

Following EA’s announcement of the company’s new subscription program, Access, we were curious about it being tied only to Xbox One. We reached out to Sony for clarification, and it seems like PlayStation 4 owners shouldn’t hold their breath for the program.

“We evaluated the EA Access subscription offering and decided that it does not bring the kind of value PlayStation customers have come to expect,” a Sony representative told us via email. “PlayStation Plus memberships are up more than 200% since the launch of PlayStation 4, which shows that gamers are looking for memberships that offer a multitude of services, across various devices, for one low price. We don’t think asking our fans to pay an additional $5 a month for this EA-specific program represents good value to the PlayStation gamer.”

EA's Access program costs $5 per month or $30 per year and offers discounts to members, free (while membership is active) catalog titles, and pre-release access to game trials up to five days in advance. The program is in beta now, with Xbox One preview members getting first access yesterday evening. FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2, and Battlefield 4 kick off the program as free-with-membership titles.

While Sony could certainly change its mind down the line, we don’t expect that to happen any time soon. For more on EA Access, check out yesterday’s coverage.

Our Take
While EA Access might not be coming to PS4, I wouldn’t necessarily count out the publisher’s games in PS Plus. There is still value for EA there, especially as those free-with-membership games have great potential to move the needle for DLC that has long since dropped down the sales chart.

This also doesn't mean that Sony can't change its mind later. If demand is great enough and value increases, EA Access could migrate over down the road. For now though, this is a clear statement that PS4 players shouldn't hold their breath for the program.

EA should add last gen games just to fuck with them. Weird glitch in Madden. Can't sign in but I can play the game. Tried Battlefield campaign and it works perfectly. Hope they fix the sports issues soon. And why that awful NBA Live wasn't given free for the beta month is something I would like to know.
