I saw all of this coming after the first episode... The entire spirit of the show is gone now. Huey is like a prop, with no introspection, or reflection. He doesn't drive the story or offer a moral anymore... Shit's just pure coonery and buffoonery..

The Boondocks comic script is unquestioned classic material (I would argue its second only to Doonesbury for that political/social humor) and the series was nearly going to match the Simpsons and South Park for satire and humor.

This season just has wayyy too much Uncle Ruckus, too much Grandad, not enough satire and not enough Huey and Riley. Show is just dead. The breaking bad episode was the only good one so far.

I just feel like they gave Superjail more love and support then this.
A show like boondocks you got to treat it like a Mad Men, Louie, the Wire, Sopranos, Community, etc. just like the creator have his freedom set the budget and let go.

I would argue that Boondocks is a MUCH more valuable property if it was treated better (and I am a BIG fan of Venture Bros.) but by doing THIS they devalued the entire run of the series cause aint nobody buying a box set that includes THIS trash. And I won't be watching re-runs either.

I know I'm late but I just got around to watching the Kardashian episode and wow. Glad to see that I wasn't the only one who thought that shit was shockingly unfunny. They're spending entire episodes trying to 'parody' one random current pop culture trend. During the first two seasons, they would have made one off-hand reference to the Kardashians or had a background joke about the Kardashians. Then they would have moved on with the actual plot. Devoting an entire episode to one unfunny joke .... WTH?!?!?
And worst of all, South Park just did a episode making fun of Kanye & Kim Kardashian and that shit was WAY funnier than any moment of the Boondocks episode and it had a great social/political message.
