I wish they had did that more instead of doing so many episodes about bullshit. Not just this season, but throughout the series.
They've done maybe 1-2 episode per season where they actually did a little backstory. Like the Ruckus episode, the Tuskgee Airmen episode, Lando Freeman etc.
I think they should've went that direction with the Grandad going broke thing. Instead of Grandad just doing a bunch of odd jobs and stupid shit, have him look to his family for help and tell why he left them behind, and they could've brought in new characters, including that Brooklyn kid people keep asking about, and they could've made it work.
