For many years I grilled without one....Now my rib-eyes are easily better than a world class steak house...

Ok. One of my women will be prepping.

Always go for grilling INDIRECT versus DIRECT. Better flavor and the meat will be more juicy. If you can afford it cop a BIG GREEN EGG. i have a thread with recipes in the cooking forum


I will be checking that thread out. I do smoke more than just grilling, but I over heated one of my smoking boxes. :(

Hardwood lump charcoal burns hotter, but not as long as briquettes...I use my gas grill for burgers and hot dogs...my 22.5 charcoal for chicken and steaks...my 18.5 smoker for ribs, brisquets, pork shoulders, etc...never excessively poke and prod at your meat(:D)...use a non-built in thermometer to gauge the actual temp inside your grill...I could go on for hours, bbq'ing can become an obsession...I blame that BBQ Pitmasters show...and Weber Grill's are DEFINITELY worth the extra money!!!!
