Mayweather fight!! Post links and discussion here!!!!

Watching a fight over gives you a different perspective, Maidana was missing so many shots that I could see why that judge came up with the 117-111 scorecard.

People get caught up in activity. He only landed 25 percent of his punches

Explain your question, I don't understand what your trying to ask.

Question: If this was a 15rds fight would there been an unanimous decision? And would there have been a knock down:hmm:
What about those low blows????
My bad, bro too many shots

you're crazy. He handled the pressure and won

And Arum is not laughing cuz Mayweather is not gonna break bread with him and that withering cash cow he has who is only a shell of himself these days.:lol:

exactly

and he should NEVER break bread with this dude who looks at him like he does.

ever ever ever

Floyd will retire for sure after tonight's performance, we all saw why Floyd will never fight Pacquiao, he cannot handle good pressure....
BOB ARUM PROLLY LAUGHING HIS ASS OFF
It's CLEAR as FUCK that effective pressure fighters give Floyd FITS...shiiit Floyd had to catch up in this fight

Rich Homie Quan getting roasted:lol:

I just watched that fight for a second time and it really wasn't that close. A rematch'll do 1.5 to 2 million, easy. Khan wouldn't be available for sept so... Crazy how clear things become when those emotions aren't clouding your vision.

:eek::eek:

Crazy as hell.

Mayorga was just tough with no skill and good punching power.

Maidana is tough, great power and some skill which has improved dramatically over the last year.

Duke is nothing like Mayorga.

No doubt, and all that damn holding, pushing, and holding the head down that seems to never get called in his fights is infuriating.

Same shit he did in the Peterson fight.

Damn I didn't know that about Brazil/Argentinians.

With the way all the Latino's, including Mexican's, seem to be riding with Maidana and after such a good showing I figured that shit would spread throughout all of Brazil.

But them being big on MMA makes sense.

Precisely.

Maidana was at no disadvantage tonight because of gloves. He was only at a disadvantage because his gloves were proper and not tampered with.

If taking away one's ability to cheat is considered a disadvantage then yeah I guess Maidana was handicapped by his regulation, completely standard, same brand he always uses glove:lol:

Throwing those wild ass punches that's a myorga tactic

Eeww that's how u can tell ninjas don't know shit bout boxing

Figures you'd be a fan of a nigga with a flawless record.

This nigga is probably a dream come true for you, huh?

If you dick-ride Lebron the way you do, I don't even want to imagine what kind of faggotrous feelings you must feel for Mayweather.

Quick question. If everyone agrees that Floyd won, even though we all say it was a tough fight, what is the need for a rematch? Can you really see Maidana doing something differently that would have him winning?

Are we at the point where unless Floyd blows them out, they deserve a rematch? That's what Manny Pacquaio does and I hate it. Sorry but I'd much rather see Floyd fight Khan, and then the winner of Porter-Thurman.

Now that people are coming down to earth and realizing that Floyd is human and not some type of boxing machine, we can appreciate him for what he is.

i agree with you. though chino gave him a tough fight i dont see anything he can do different that would help him win. i'd rather see a thurman/porter winner fight Floyd. I DO NOT want to see Khan fight Floyd.

Fight closer than anyone expected. Not overly outraged by the decision, Floyd will NEVER lose a close fight because he's Floyd and he means too much to boxing financially. That being said, Floyd to me is starting to look what he is, a fighter approaching 40. 3 years ago Maidana would have landed 10 punches all night. I see Floyd basically fighting this type of fighter for the remainder of his career. Maybe finish up with Manny. He's smart. A fighter like Shawn Porter would really give him fits at this stage of his career.

Floyd said in advance of the fight that he wasn't going to use as much movement as usual, to ramp up the entertainment for the fans. He did. Yes, he allowed Maidana to throw 850+ punches, but he only allowed 25% of the punches to land. Fight fans gotta know the difference between fighting and flailing. The only damage Floyd took was a cut from a headbutt. He handily won this fight, while making it look closer than it actually was. And now he's got everybody clamoring for a rematch with a fighter he could have easily blown out using his normal fighting style. Maidana would/will get RickyHatton'd
next time. Well played, Floyd. Well played.

Does anyone think Maidana won the fight? Again, if Maidana fails the post fight
drug test, Robert Garcia's match box head needs to be banned from boxing.

The people are celebrating fighting a close fight, but no one can say Maidana
won...

Another Ref will warn Maidana about holding the ropes to prevent Floyd from moving away
