Were in agreement... New DC while were at it. The cover 2 (3rd/4th down especially) needs to die. Ive seen it cost us the last 6 years. Time to let it go.

I agree with what you bolded.... they need to keep BOTH cutler and mccown and also draft a young QB. Cut CONTE as well as Wright. Bears have 36.4 mill in cap space

I have to throw Hester in the mix of people I want back.

Not the threat he was, but he's still a threat. Got a lot of decent field position today thanks to him.

Why don't you want Wooten back? He got fucked over this season by being forced to play DT; meanwhile McCellelin's sorry ass wasted a roster spot playing DE.

The whole defense needs to be reworked

We're going to have a hard time with our DB's

Melton most likely is going to miss the first portion of the season...either through injury or suspension. We can't count on him being 100% next year. That could lead to a good cap number, because he's coming off an injury.

Our D Line was terrible getting a pass rush.

This was probably Lance's last game in a Bear uniform. He was pretty much a nonfactor coming back from injury.

We need to let Tillman go also, because of his age...and he will only become more injury prone.

Forget the sentimental stuff, the problem this year is that we finally got old on defense.

Jennings needs to come back.

I like your list and I'd probably bring back Wooten as well. If Peppers isn't willing to take a pay cut his ass might as well be shown the door too. Draft defense and also the heir apparent at QB. McCown is more of a priority in my eyes than Cutler.

I'm disappointed that nobody on the team put a bounty out on Chris Conte. Just accidentally roll over his ankle or something.

A few years back, I really thought we shoulda held onto Daniel Manning. Better S than Wright or Conte and a great kick returner too....

I cant sat I agree anymore on Hester....I don't mind him staying for a hometown discount, but no need to bend over backwards for the lack of production...I will say that its hard to tell if its truly him losing a step, or DeCamillis' shitty management. Bad hire there...

I don't think we should fire Mel Tucker. He bit the bullet and fell on his sword with Phil Emery not allowing him to implement his own defense. Moreover, the Bears were by far the most injured defense in the league with starters losing 40 games (56 if you include the nickle back as a starter). Tucker wants to run the 3-4. I say give him another shot to implement his own defense.

The elephant in the room is Peppers. That mofo counts for 19 mil on the cap next year! 19 million!!! That's elite QB money. He has been admirable as a Bear but aint no way in hell he staying with that cap figure, he simply didnt earn his money the past two years. I offer him a restructure with a major pay cut and if her refuses, cut him! Word is Mario Williams and Demarcus Ware will be on the market and we can get them both for 19 million!

Cutler needs to top out at 12-14 million with no more than 32 million guaranteed, if not let him walk.

We need to cut Michael Bush as well, too many teams have decent back-ups and he makes a lot of dough.

The other elephant in the room is Brandon Marshall. He is in the last year of his deal at 9 million and he is sure to be asking for an extension!

The first thing we have to do is to cut Podlesh immediately! That fool cost us four games this year alone, including tonight's game!

I dont see why. Lovie was a defensive minded coach. The D was the weak spot. Now a non bears fan would say 2=2=4. "Lovie wouldve sured up the D." Not true, the d was ravaged by injuries, and age finally caught up to them. Under Lovie the offense suffered, this season the offense was good, and at times awesome.

This season wouldve been sooooo much worse if not for the fact that the Bears could outscore people this season. Lovie wouldve gotten fired this year definitely, had he not be shown the door after last season. Now all this is whatever, because neither of us can prove our theories. But as much as I liked Lovie, it was just time to go in a new direction.

Anything Lovie would have put out there on D wouldve been undermined by Shea/Turner/Martz/Tice....or whoever...you get the drift.

Lovie didnt know how to pick Safeties, or offensive coordinators.

Nah. A Lovie coached defense wouldnt have so many mental errors and poor schematic issues as this team. You lost today because of defensive fuck ups. Niggas lookin at live balls on the grass, cats missing assignments, miscommunicating calls etc.. :smh:

I didnt know who to blame as far as offense went. Nothing was working, and the D was starting to slide too. With the Pack and the Lions being about to put up points the Bears couldnt remain stagnant on offense anymore and remain competitive. They needed to hire an offensive guy. I wanted Andy Reid, but Trestmans offense works... Now how hell improve as a head man I dunno, but hes got his finger prints all over the offense and it preformed as advertised this season. After a year Im cool on him as the coach going forward at the moment.

I will agree with this though. I still think it wouldve been a worse season as Lovie couldnt get the right guy in there to improve the offense for shit.:smh:

With Lovie we may have a 3rd stringer starting at QB since not only did the offense suck but O-line never really got better over the last 3 years with him at coach.
