The Official Chicago Bears Free Agency Thread

[X-Man26]

Bears Fans, Mount Up!

There is a lot of talk that we are about to make a big play for some major free agents. The Bears are likely to pursue and land at least two of the following players: DE Mario Williams, WR Vincent Jackson, OG Carl Nicks, S Laron Landry, CB Brandon Flowers, TE Jon Carlson.

The Bears also have some holes to fill that can't be filled in the draft like backup QB. The papers are talking David Garrard.

I know we have struggled w/ the line the past two years but I think we can fill any holes there in the draft. Carimi was good until her got hurt. I know Bears fans hate Chris Williams but he was very good at guard and so was Chris Spencer. Garza was the lineman at center. If anything there is a chance to upgrade at LT and Levi Brown may be the answer. Really, our line problems this year wasn't due to talent, it was due to injury with Williams and Carimi missing a combined 19 games.

If the Bears can take care of WR, back-up QB and DE in FA we can fill OL, CB, LB depth in the draft.

I am hoping we can sign Mario Williams and a WR like Garcon or Manningham.

Who are you hoping for?
